I thought I was the first one to run to the operating room door, but it wasn't. Precisely the footsteps of Mr. Haris quickly preceded me.
Suddenly the riled-faced man had been standing in front of me and mother, at the very front to welcome Alena out.
"The operation went well, Alena is currently unconscious. He will be moved to the ward but only one person can accompany him" explained Dr Anton.
"Good Doc." Mr. Haris replied, since the arrival of the man I have become as if eliminated. Mr. Harris has always been ahead of the pack for Alena's treatment.
But how else, for this most important operation was all financed by Mr. Haris. I really wanted to say thank you but somehow it felt like my tongue was too faint to talk to her.
Not long after that Alena's bed came out of the operating room. It was already midnight, so the situation at the hospital was so quiet and calm.
Mr. Haris pushed the bed, while me and my mom followed behind.
"Wait," I said suddenly as I looked at the direction you were heading in, not to Alena's ward all this time, but somewhere.
"What's wrong?" asked Mr. Haris, he looked at me with very cold eyes. I couldn't get back, so I turned my gaze to Dr. Anton.
"Sorry Doc, why is it this way? Alena's ward is in Melati's room" I said hesitantly.
"From tonight Mr. Haris has reserved a VIP room for Alena's care, Anin. You don't have to worry about the cost, everything has been paid off by Mr. Haris," said Dr. Anton.
"Let's go" said Mr. Haris later. He didn't give me a chance to think, because suddenly after that explanation everyone walked back to push Alena's bed.
Mother also seemed confused, finally we could only resign.
Come to a floor that looks foreign, into a room that looks like a house.
This room was so clean, that my mom and I wanted to take off our footwear outside. But a nurse said 'Don't, it's okay, just wear it.'
My mother and I continued to follow where Alena's bed was taken, until she finally arrived in a room that felt very comfortable, cool and no smell of medicine, there was a medium-sized bed in the right corner.
"Let me come in" said Mr. Haris.
Mom and I both know, this is where our limit goes. Being in her break room Alena can only be accompanied by one person.
Thank God, my mind is full of gratitude.
Oh my God, tomorrow when Alena wakes up I hope she no longer feels pain.
My heart grew fuller when I saw Mr. Haris kissing Alena's forehead gently. Looking at that scene this heart was like being crushed down strongly, it hurt so much. Not sad, but I don't know, it feels so cramped.
"Mother Anin," called a nurse to make my gaze turn towards her.
"Mother Anin, in this VIP room there are two rooms that can be used to rest. 1 main room for Alena, while the second room for the waiting family. Mother's belongings we moved into the room" said a nurse, pointing to the room on our left.
He also explained that in each room there is a bathroom. While on the other hand there is a kitchen and dining table that can be used.
At the end of his explanation he wished we were comfortable staying here. Because after surgery Alena will still get intensive care about 1-2 months before Alena is allowed to go home.
And then Anton and the nurses left this room.
The room suddenly became quiet, while my mother and I were confused by themselves.
"How is Nin? I still want to see Alena" asked the mother.
I was confused because I wanted to see my son. But Mr. Haris did not come out of the room, instead sitting on the edge of the bed and continued to look straight at Alena.
"Please ma'am, we better wait. Let's sit there, "take me, pointing at the sofa.
I saw her nodding, so I pulled her hand until we sat down together. My mother and I did not dare to go into the room, even though the nurse said that our belongings were there. But we still have no power to enter.
We are not free, we are afraid of being wrong.
This sofa felt so comfortable, that somehow the story suddenly I fell asleep.
So tired.
