Chapter 25 - Santet Curse (2)
On that day, when Nora's graduation intends to tell Bayu about his taste. But he had to undo the intention because they finally decided to camp together at one of the campsites outside the city. With supplies and makeshift equipment, they end up spending money they have long raised on this activity.
They choose a place by the lake, so they can enjoy the beautiful morning sun accompanied by cool air on the edge of the lake. That day they finally fulfilled all the plans that they had made a long time ago, together they celebrated graduation. The feeling of pleasure is undeniable when they know that they graduated with satisfactory grades, not to mention that the owner of this camp is a friend of Bayu's father so they can easily get a discount there.
That day, under the moonlight with thousands of stars adorning the sky, Nora was determined to convey the taste she had been craving. Armed with the courage she gathered, Nora took her breath calming down to meet Bayu. But it seems like the world is not on his side, because next to him Rondo is gone. And outside the tent, there were two shadows of different types of people chatting together.
Nora paused her intention, approaching her to the outside of the tent to ascertain who was outside. It must have been Rondo, but I don't know who because there was only their tent attached. Nora's faint talk heard, making her even closer towards the outside of the tent. He sharpens his sense of hearing to ascertain whose voice is out there.
"Rondo, so my wife?"
Nora's heart broke when she heard the voice, she knew who it was. It was Bayu's voice that when Nora looked outside the tent was crouching in front of Rondo. He could see Rondo's shadow as if in disbelief, while closing Nora's faint mouth could see Rondo nodding in agreement. The more his heart was broken, the one who wanted to convey his sense was now slapped by the facts.
He looked back out of the tent, the two men hugged followed by the claps of many people who saw. Nora felt betrayed, but she wanted to convey the feeling, why even Rondo who is now proposed? Then what has Bayu been doing for him is just ordinary? Nora felt that it was not so, it must be Rondo who tempted Bayu to be with the man.
Dark was already his heart and eyes, and when Rondo re-entered the tent after the embrace of Bayu, he was instantly attacked by Nora with all sorts of questions. That night, the two of them who were friends had a great argument for the first time. And on that day, all their plans fell apart, at that time the long-established friendship finally disappeared.
"You should be self-conscious, just look at your body. You think Bayu would like it? You think Bayu's always liked me, don't expect."
It was a conscious sign that Rondo said the hurtful word to Nora. One fatal mistake that made him have to live in misery as he is now. The next day also after that day they finally returned because the atmosphere was getting runnyam. From that day on, the relationship between Rondo and Nora was already not fine. And before they really stopped communicating, there was one thing Nora said that made Rondo remember her.
"You'll regret Rondo. You'll regret all your decisions."
Once Rondo was in a relationship again, but the man was also hit by the same problem with the husband's bun. All so, finally they themselves decided to stay away. That was the reason why Rondo always stayed away when there was a man approaching her, for fear that the man would have the same fate as her husband. One thing that makes Nora sure if it is the actions of Nora because the big figure himself said it.
Returning to the present, Mbak Rondo rubbed his dripping tears. She still feels guilty for what happened to her husband Bayu. Dekka and Bertan just kept silent not knowing how to respond, and Kek Retno just nodded in understanding.
"Sorry to have brought up the old wound" said Dekka unwell. Rondo turned towards him and nodded. She looked at the picture of her husband, smiling looking at it. He longed for their short time together.
"Then we say thank you, because we don't have to explain anything else" said Bertan.
The three of them finally left there with an unpleasant feeling. Dekka looked around, feeling that there was something strange about the house but there was no figure he could see. A feeling of tightness dropped by all of a sudden, making him speed up his pace to quickly leave from that stifling place.
Focusing too long with Mbak Rondo makes Dekka and Bertan miss new news in the Village. He said there was a figure of a man who had always haunted Seberang Village in the past few days. Dekka did not understand, he had never seen a male figure before, nor with Bertan. He heard from the rumors of villagers, the man seemed to have demdam with them.
"It looks like we will soon have a new task, deh" said Bertan happy. Dekka just nodded in agreement with a laugh, it seemed like the figure of the man was the victim of a murder intentionally or not. The reason for coming to this Village must be because it had something to do with his death.
So the next day, Dekka and Bertan decided to deliberately appear in front of the house at night so that they could meet the figure. Waiting for quite a long time, the figure was also not present. But when the clock strikes at exactly 22:00 a cold chill suddenly blows around them. Eve became more miserable than before.
In front of them the figure was present, standing facing towards Dekka and Bertan. His face shattered with one of the eyeballs coming out of place. Make maggots instead get out of there. Dekka and Bertan compactly retreated, as the stifling air became more pronounced around them. Long the figure did not move, until finally the sudden movement of the figure attacked towards Dekka.
