SEBERANG VILLAGE

SEBERANG VILLAGE
Chapter 15 - Black Fabric

Morning arrived, whether there was a rain wind what figure Bu Darmi suddenly came to Dekka and Bertan to ask for help. Dekka was also confused, but no doubt he agreed, after all just seeing what was on the roof of their house. Honestly Dekka did not understand that, but it seems Bertan was very interested and immediately agreed.

Here they finally are, in the house of Bu Darmi who had just become a funeral home yesterday and now the atmosphere is not like in mourning. Even all of Bu Darmi's family behaved like nothing happened after yesterday's just lost one of the family members. Bertan entered the house immediately greeted by Bu Darmi who was waiting, they were told to ride on the floor of the platform, check if something was wrong so that a leak occurred.

Bertan who rose first, behind him Dekka who gave up all the equipment with a flashlight from his cellphone. The atmosphere above was rather stuffy with a fairly narrow room, only Bertan could check in and Dekka was still sitting on the stairs with a flashlight. He directed the flashlight to all corners of the house, until Bertan found an awkwardness there. Sure enough, it seems like a problem in a tile that needs to be replaced.

Intending him to go down, since he could not repair the tile, he could only see any damage or not. After all, Bu Darmi's house is high, it is difficult to climb on the tile to repair. But his footing on the stairs came to a halt because at the end of the platform it was like there was something strange that made his curiosity just stick out.

"De, let's try the flashlight" he said, Dekka who was confused just obeying what Bertan said, handed the flashlight to Bertan. The flashlight was directed at something that turned out to be a small box, with curiosity Bertan looked towards Dekka who raised one of his eyebrows. Bertan was silent for a while, then he coded with a look in the eye that there was something strange there.

"Gue's curious about it, take it?" ask Bertan. Dekka seemed to think for a while, then she nodded as an ajwaban. Let them be labeled as impolite, they are very curious about it. Who knows it has something to do with what happened at Bu Darmi's house. The small box was taken, opened by Bertan who immediately showed a black cloth that wrapped something.

With the cloth, he immediately came down from there with Dekka who took care of all the things they had brought. Bertan first walked with the stairs in his hand, towards Bu Darmi who was in the living room with tea and snacks served. Bu Darmi approaches them, helps Bertan with his ladder and immediately tells his son to help Dekka take his tools.

"Let's drink this tea first."

Bu Darmi presented them, but Dekka immediately shook his head tightly grasping his lower clothes and politely paid his respects to Bu Darmi. There, right behind Bu Darmi a creepy figure stood up. The figure of a little boy hanging there with a creepy face. His eyes were bleeding, his body was full of festering wounds, his mouth was open making maggots descend one by one touching the floor.

"Sorry ma'am, but I need to go now there's work I have to do. It had been called before" said Dekka politely.

"I must have bothered you guys, sorry. You can go home, but this is the snack taken yes," said Bu Darmi while thrusting a bag of crackles that seemed to have been prepared. Dekka awkwardly received the bag then immediately say goodbye and passed from there. Bertan followed, he also saw the little boy, so he just kept quiet earlier letting Dekka make up his mind.

"We need to find out."

Arriving at home, Dekka tries to ignore this and begins to focus on her work. Until finally dusk arrived, Bertan who had been lazing even woke up from his sleep to madi. Yet again and again, the figure of Mundo appeared before him. This time the figure was different, as implying something awkward and disapproving. Bertan let it go, maybe Mundo was angry because he kept being cheated.

"AFTER MY BROTHER ASSHOLE! AND GO LO FROM HERE" Dare to speak loudly while reading the prayer afterwards. The pain of Dekka began to be replaced with a cough. The figure of the little anka disappeared, but the big figure was still there. Dekka began as before, with a still irregular breath he poured his ears while grimacing in pain. Bertan panicked, approaching his cousin with quick steps, both of Dekka's shoulders held by him.

"Dakka!" call him.

Dekka did not respond, still covering his ears that were buzzing. Come on, that little boy's voice was sick enough in his ear and the giggle was enough to make him tormented. Plus the big figure followed by shouting from outside the house making Dekka more in pain. Shortly after, he heard Bertan again calling his name along with the sound of the door being opened. After Dekka's consciousness disappeared, his body squeezed in Bertan's grip.

Amidst his panic, Bertan began to see the huge figure disappear and behind him Retno's cake came a panicked face. Bertan was about to speak, but Kek Retno first recited a prayer for the unconscious Dekka. His face was panicked, as if the incident was a turmoil that should be dealt with immediately.

"Lay Dekka, he's in danger" Kek Retno said. Dekka's body was laid in the cold of the floor with Kek Retno still reciting prayers helped by Bertan. Long time, there was no movement of any kind from Dekka, making Kek Retno sigh riled. He stared at Bertan.

"Where was the crackle?" ask her. As if understanding Bertan immediately stood up and handed over the crackle given by Bu Darmi. The crackle was opened, immediately thrown into the contents floor. How surprised Bertan after seeing the contents of the crackle was just a maggot and a few clumps of hair. His stomach was suddenly nauseous, a cold sweat appeared as a seed of corn on his forehead. The contents of his stomach want to be removed but held by Kek Retno.

"Clean everything, burn them. You guys made a big mistake, now Dekka's in danger."

Bertan started gulping down forced saliva, he's the wrong one here. If something goes wrong with Dekka it's his fault. If something happens to Dekka he won't stay still, all the things he'll do.

"GET OVER, BERTAN!"

Bertan again flinched, quickly he immediately took the broom with disdain to clean the clumps of hair and maggots earlier. He brought it directly to the yard, a match he immediately lit, with a bottle of oil that he took earlier. Oil was poured and with one movement the match was thrown away, producing a huge blaze.

"Quiet Bertan, pray Dekka can fight them."
