Dekka, a 23-year-old man and working as a freelance horror story always needs references to his story. But life in the city is so noisy, neighbors are screaming at each other, voices are disturbing at night by two couples in addition to the cost. The cry of a child at night, it all makes him disturbed which must require high concentration to string each word into a sentence.
And today is the culmination, the voices become one tonight. Making him sick, plus the pursuit of the target will be the story. Until finally today he protested to the mother of the cost owner and there was a quarrel between them. A boarding mom who doesn't want to find more work with a young man who never wants to budge, is perfect for arguing.
The tireless voice maintained a personal opinion until the owner of the boarding house was upset and drove Dekka openly from there. Dekka certainly assures, his ego is too high to budge. From the first time he never lost in anything, only this time he finally gave up arguing with the boarding house and chose to really go from there to find a new place.
That night Dekka immediately cleaned up all his clothes and decided to go to his parents' house which was quite far from there. The reason why Dekka chose to cost is because his parents are still busy taking care of his little sister, and the atmosphere at home is also no less noisy than the atmosphere outside there.
"Why the hell Dekka, this is the third time you've been out of boarding because of the same thing. This is urban Dekka, where we live side by side and even close together. The voices you hear are natural, so I don't think it makes sense to get you out of the room." Mother Dekka carelessly advised her son who is now eating in front of her, the husband just silent she was even more fed up with this child.
"But ma'am, Dekka's a freelance. Dekka needs peace of mind to make money, how does Dekka work if they are very noisy. So this time please find Dekka the cost again, but away from the noise." Dekka answered, then continued to feed the mother's fried rice into her mouth. Delicious and savory taste spread, his mother's cooking was the one he liked the most so far.
"Then you move to Grandma's house. Living in the village, won't it make you calmer?" ask Father. Dekka seems to think, not bad after all, his grandmother's village still allows for internet access. So it doesn't seem to hurt to try, but isn't grandma a long time ago and if she moved there would anyone know her?
"There's Bertan there, you can wonder if there's anything you don't understand later. How about that?" ask the Father again. Dekka finally nodded, sucked the last mouthful into his mouth and drank the water that had been prepared beforehand by the mother. He will try, there is nothing wrong if you have to live with Bertan who is a cousin of the Father's side.
"Then tomorrow deliver Dekka there well, Dekka does not know the way. Or if you don't let Bertan come here and pick up Dekka."
Dekka's words surprised his parents, how could the boy not have just come home today and leave again tomorrow? It's totally crazy. But the father did not bother his son, rather he continued to listen to Dekka's nagging that never finished because his sisters fuss later.
Completely silent, all that was heard was the sound of birds unpretentious to each other. Even the weather is still fresh when it is noon. Raindrops still adorn the left right trees that indicate here has just finished raining. Dekka took a deep breath, for a long time she had not felt the air with such pampering freshness like this. The smell of petrichor so stinging to his nose added calmness to his heart and mind.
"The atmosphere in this village is still very cool, very different from the atmosphere in the city," said Dekka expressing his feelings. His eyes were closed letting the wind sweep across his face, caressing the spoiled both of his cheeks. Betran glanced at Dekka and nodded in agreement, indeed this village is still beautiful even though not so in the interior.
"This village is called Seberang Village, people call it that because this village is located across the big river. Later sometime I invite there to fish, you will prefer the calmness that is presented. Pakde and Bude have told me that you must have peace, and it just so happens that the rules of the village. No fuss, especially if it's already night it's really a taboo in the village." Bert explained.
"Why is that?" tanya Dekka was curious. How can an area prohibit its citizens from making a fuss, is very strange. Bertan shrugged indifferently in response, Dekka frowned inexplicably, Bertan doesn't know the reason?
"That's been the rule there Dekka, we don't have to question it. Just obey all the rules that are there, then everything will be fine. Later I arrive at ruma there are things I want to talk to you about, but before that take a shower first. Clean yourself up," replied Bertan increasingly making Dekka big but he could only nod in response.
And soon enough, the pick-up car stopped at a house that was a little on the end. Dekka begins to drop off his belongings aided by Bertan. The two of them took the items to Dekka's room before finally Bertan again forced Dekka who wanted to rest to take a bath. Dekka according to, his body also actually feels sticky.
After the bath, Dekka immediately invited Bertan to eat because it was noon. The dishes are simple only rice and fried tempeh. Luckily Dekka wasn't the kind of person who was picky about food, so she ate it voraciously. Bertan smiled looking at that, it seemed like Dekka wasn't too bad. And finally after lunch was over, Dekka began to organize his things that were still in the bag.
His clothes are not too much in put into a small closet, other equipment he stacked on a short and wide table. After that he met Bertan, started a chat about the important thing that Bertan meant before.
"I want to talk about grandma, and the rules in this village that you have to obey Dekka."
