The soldiers of Nilaka marched into the field of Gabbala. Gabbala Field is a vast meadow that lies between the kingdom of Nikala and the kingdom of Pinggala. Both agreed to wage war here.
The front row of Nilaka's troops were the drummers and flag holders on his left and right. Behind him the cavalry lined up neatly complete with knights in armor and spears in his hands. Next was an army of hikers with spears, shields and swords at their waists. Followed by an archer. The last line is a giant-sized war tool that Sakya has never seen before.
It is said that based on the chatter between soldiers who one unit with him, the war occurred because of a woman. Prince Nikala kidnapped the fiancee of Prince Pinggala because of her beauty.
The fault of Prince Nikala is only one, he has no power to justify his actions. In fact, the kingdom was larger and had more soldiers than the kingdom of Nikala and they vowed to destroy the kingdom of Nikala and enslave the children and women in the kingdom of Nikala. This reason made Sakya wonder how beautiful the woman they were fighting over was. How good is the cooking he makes?
Finally they arrived at Gabbala Field. Nikala's forces were lined up and Sakya was in the line of pedestrians. Across from them was a death squad with twice the number of Nikala's troops.
The flag of the royal insignia of the Nikala army fluttered violently in the wind. Dust flew into the air and the sound that was heard was only the roar of the wind.
Sakya had only first entered the war, even this was the first time he had seen the war. He was scared, his heart was racing and his hands were starting to sweat. When Sakya looked at the soldier next to her, she saw there was fear and anger on her face. Perhaps if this were the case, he would get angry if sent to the battlefield just because the woman did not even belong to him.
A general advanced to the front of the Nikala army. He uttered a few sentences to raise the spirits of the Nilaka warriors. But all the soldiers knew the reason why they were fighting, so only some took up arms when the General shouted, "for the king!" the other soldiers were silent. In fact, it may be cursing in the heart. How not, they had to fight for their souls and bodies, leaving their wives' children behind while the king and prince sat waiting for news in the palace with the gate locked.
The trumpet began to blow. The general has given me an aba-aba. The cavalry immediately attacked. The same thing happened to the army. The arrows began to rustle and descend like rainwater. Unbeknownst to Sakya, the Pinggalas threw large stones with a device they called Manjanik.
Sakya is surprised to see a large rock suddenly fall and roll towards him and does not stop until it hits his body.
Sakya felt an excruciating pain in her chest and legs. As soon as his sight blurred. Suddenly the illusion of Varna ended.
"You're dead." Varna's voice is heard by Sakya.
Sakya took out a vow of all sorts of words that her father thought were not good to say. But Sakya didn't care, right now the feeling of pain felt very real, and she was very frightened.
After he saw that his body and legs were fine then he felt calm.
"So I failed?" He asked varna while scratching his head.
"Yes, you failed. Do you want to repeat?"
"In a moment, can you ease the pain of dying?"
"No. I advise you not to die so that it doesn't hurt to die."
"...."
After calming down, Sakya asks Varna to repeat the same illusion.
"You want to start from the beginning of the training session with instructor Zasit?" ask Varna.
"NO... No.thank you. Let's start with me walking in a line towards Padang gabala" cried Sakya. For Sakya, a week with instructor Zasit was more painful than being hit by a stone.
Sakya returned to the ranks of the soldiers walking towards the Gabala desert. This time he did not waste the opportunity to ask about the war equipment brought by the Nikala warriors. He asked about Manjanik who could throw a big rock at the enemy. Sakya believes that by knowing how these tools work she will know how to avoid the danger.
Sakya had arrived at the Gabbala field lined up with the other soldiers. Then the sound of the war drums sounded as a sign of war began. Sakya looked towards the sky and channeled her prana to both her legs. When stones and arrows came towards him he immediately dodged and darted forward running towards the Pinggala army.
On the battlefield the situation was completely chaotic. The sword swung from right to left, the arrows that came down from above like rain, and the huge rocks that were pounding, all of them could take his life at any time.
Sakya moves the prana towards her feet and hands. His sword swing felt heavy for the pinggala warriors. He killed a soldier. Sakya could not rest because in front of him came 2 more soldiers. He dodged towards the left as instructor Zasit had taught him, in such a way that he only fought one person. Then Sakya swung his sword towards the opponent's neck. The opponent raised his shield, the sound of a sword clashing against the shield.
Sakya's right hand hurt to bounce slightly back due to the impact. The enemy did not stay still, he swung his sword towards Sakya's waist, Sakya lowered his shield to protect his waist, then he raised his right leg and kicked the opponent's stomach. The opponent bowed in pain and without wasting a chance Sakya directly swung his sword towards the opponent's head.
Two Pinggala soldiers died at the hands of Sakya, the remaining 1 person who lived near him. He quickly jumped in front of the opposing soldier while thrusting his sword towards his opponent's chest and directly pierced through the opponent's armor. Suddenly the pain attacked his head...
"I'm dead again?" sakya asked as she realized that she was returning to Vanuya Hall.
"Finally, five arrows hit your head" replied Varna.
"Why are these arrows and stone stones purposely targeting me?" Sakya is really curious about the strange happenings where arrows and stones always come to her eyeing when she is off guard.
"That's because you're the only one in this illusion."
"How can I avoid something I don't see?" He had already twice died from the arrows coming from above while he was busy killing the soldiers. Sakya felt she had to solve the problem as soon as possible.
"Just like you drain prana into your feet and hands, you can drain prana all over your five senses. It'll make your five senses sharper." Varna explained.
"Why didn't you tell me from the beginning."
"Your knowledge obtained from the results of your own observations and experiments will always be remembered. I advise you to always ask questions and try new things with your new strength. It is highly recommended that you make many mistakes so that you know what your shortcomings are so that you can correct them in the future."
"But dying is a pain." Sakya complained about the situation. The war situation is very chaotic. Everything went on quickly, he did not have time to observe and conduct experiments.
"To gain more power than man ..."
"Start Illusions." Sakya cuts off Varna's speech. He had heard that phrase before.
Sakya is back in the Nikala squad. When the general motivated Sakya to drain the prana throughout his body and five senses. Then everything seemed to change, he could see further and not only straight in his sight but his surroundings. In Sakya's mind he was like an eagle looking at his entire body and his surroundings, both on the side and behind. The movements of all the soldiers slowed down.
Sakya immediately advanced to the battlefield after the cue was sounded. The first enemy was one soldier, then two, three more, then four and so on... He killed all of them while dodging and fending off the arrows and stones that came at him. He finally solved the problem that got him killed.
Sakya now faces 15 soldiers, this time making no progress at all. Sakya could only dodge and fend off the attacks. Everything happened because his sword started to blunt caused by the blood attached to the sword body started to dry up so that his attack was no longer deadly anymore.
Sakya had thought of replacing the sword but strangely, on the battlefield where many soldiers died, not a single sword lay. After the soldier died, his weapon disappeared. Sakya is happier if it is a weakness of Varna's illusion, but her feelings say otherwise.
Sakya realizes if this situation continues then it will be very dangerous for him. He has to do something.
Sakya retreated while dodging the incoming attack. His brain worked hard to change things. An idea began to rise in his mind. What if he poured prana into his shield and sword. Will succeed? At least he had to try, even if it failed the greatest chance he would die.
Finally, after a long wait for his arrival, the goddess of luck approached Sakya. The way it worked, the shield and sword slightly shone transparent as the prana coated it.
Sakya swings her sword from top to bottom at a nearby passerby. The soldier raised his shield but Sakya's sword split his shield and neck to the soldier's right chest.
Sakya could not stop cheering for joy as the other soldiers began to arrive. Then the slaughter of the Pinggalas began.
