8. Compensations.

In a game, often a manipulation is required. A reasonableness, if a fraud is done in order to reach the finish line faster, and beat many rivals who can drop.

The world is indeed sometimes full of lies, but as if there is no other choice but to lie itself, for we can still occupy the comfort zone. Just like Adam Billy Hutama did.

Not not not knowing, Adam knew very well that the number that had just sent him a message, was the number of Petunia Amarilys, the student who used to make him khilaf, even many times.

Sounds like a bastard, but this is the truth. Adam had indeed deleted Nia's number, and had also blocked it not too long ago. He realized, Nia hated him because of his cowardice.

But Adam had no other choice this time. He really fell in love with the figure of Kia, a mature woman who is so intelligent and able to protect herself well from her seduction. Even Kia managed to make Adam experience a high level of curiosity about the figure of the beauty.

Adam walked straight, towards the room that Nia had mentioned in her last message. Although Adam felt his heart was not wretched, but Adam was ready, if Nia demanded it and berated him.

Along the way to the third floor, Adam remembers his time with Nia before the two separated.

That time ....

Nia rubbed Adam's chin which lay sideways facing him. Abhimanyu's youngest is so sweet, with a gentle smile and polite language typical of Nia.

"Mas Adam, if anything happens to Nia later, Adam's responsibility, yes?" nia asked quietly, "Nia is afraid of getting pregnant and Nia's lecture is not finished."

"Yes, of course," Adam answered later.

"Mas Adam does not want to promise Nia, if Adam will love Nia to old age?" ask Nia again.

"Yes, I promise you," Adam answered, gently stroking the top of Nia's head, and smiling gently.

"Don't be double-headed or leave Nia, no matter what. Wait until Nia finishes college, we get married," set Nia up without hesitation.

There was no answer, just a warm smile that Adam reviewed on his lips, making Nia think that Adam's silence, was to agree with what he said.

All the headlines in his relationship with Petunia, did not get any clarity.

Until Adam is now dragged from the daydream, the man then smiled wryly, when he found the door of the room that already has Nia inside. A young male servant, pointing at the door to Adam, opened it immediately.

"Please, Sir. On behalf of Miss Petunia is already inside. Please come in, like Miss's message," said the young man.

Adam smiled, in response to the waiter who delivered him. For a moment, Adam let out a long sigh, before opening the door. Until the door opened, and the figure of Nia had sat behind him.

Adam walked slowly, approached Nia and greeted Nia as before, as if there had never been a breakup, nor had there been any problems plaguing the two.

Nia looked at Adam flatly. There was no warmth, no gentle smile, nor was there any spoiled phrase that Adam used to hear. It all felt so bad in Adam's eyes now.

Nia who was now, was so distant and stared coldly at Adam.

"Yes. Not surprised that this one who wants to meet you, I'm the one?" ask Nia.

"No. I already knew that it was your number, and I memorized it right up to this point, with your number," Adam replied.

"Even if you block my number?" ask Nia again, quickly.

"I'm sorry, I want to erase anything that has to do with the past, Petunia, and I want to start a new life with the woman I love" Adam replied later.

Petunia smiled wryly as she asked, "so, you don't feel me, but you fucked me over and over again? Bastard!" nia without filter.

"Sorry, Nia. I love your brother, and have serious intentions with him. I beg your understanding. We never know who love will be anchored to, and when it will come, right?" adam said without feeling.

"I'm not ashamed! You think it's that easy, Adam? Then, what about me ...." Nia started to tremble even though she could still hold back the crying. The sentence did not continue, because Adam again interrupted with a statement that was so painful, again heart-wrenching.

"I'll compensate you, call it how much you ask" Adam said flatly.

This is what Adam did not like about Nia. The woman was childish to him, and also spoke a lot. Unlike Kia who tends to be mature and understand with her. Kia is not easily conquered, not easily fall into persuasion, and can protect himself well as far as Adam knew him.

A distant comparison, between Kia and Nia.

Now I know what it means for God to keep me away from you. Apparently you don't deserve me, I don't deserve you, either" Nia said in a raucous voice, typical of people crying.

Amazingly, Nia can still be strong and remain calm in place, even though she wants to feel angry and step on Adam's head at that time.

"I also hope you don't regret what he said today, Adam. May you be happy with my brother, and I hope you won't take this out. Congratulations to you, it broke my heart, my life, and my future. For compensation like you offered, I don't need. I'm not gonna sue you for anything anymore. In exchange for compensation, I hope you will no longer look for me someday. That way, we're even. Thank you" continued Nia and then got up and passed away, leaving Adam who called himself, and tried to pull his hand.

Nia was already hurt, Nia was hurt, Nia was already disappointed in Adam.

And the culmination of being disappointed on the basis of that pain was, Nia chose silence and went slowly from Adam's life.

A line of questions suddenly appeared in Adam's head, whether Adam would not look for Nia?
