Petunia Amarily

Petunia Amarily
41. Restores smiles and happiness.

A couple who always love and respect each other, the same lying in a sickly bed. The ER room witnessed them laughing, crying and lying there. Injured in the body, in fact, does not make the two leave each other.

Woeful traffic at a crossroad near Abhimanyu's house, leaving Petunia unconscious. Luckily, the woman had only minor injuries. Likewise with the only puppet son, Kairav Prahasta.

Kairav is not very severe. The boy was lucky to get a hug from Nia, to avoid various hard collisions when their middle wretched.

Another Kairav with Farel. The man was blind, because his eyes had a hard impact when in the car. This misfortune, who asked? Even the Nia family gave Farel their best prayer. It's just, maybe God has the best way for that man in the future.

God's plan, nobody knows, right?

Now, two days have passed. Farel has also been moved to the ward. Likewise with Nia who has also begun to realize. Kairav, whose condition is not too severe, is lucky to be able to wake up as usual.

Nia's cry broke out, after the tragedy of the accident had passed for forty-eight hours. The woman had just heard the doctor's explanation, that her husband might not be able to see the beauty of the world anymore due to blindness after the accident.

"What should I do? Wake up, I'm sorry. Sorry I made you this way. If I hadn't forced you to go home soon, we wouldn't have been like this" Nia said sobbing.

Beside the Petunia, Kia and Kirana were just as weeping. Her mother and eldest daughter were equally hurt, seeing the angel Nia lying helpless.

"Patience, Nia. There must be a way out. Let's think carefully, Farel can be healed. Let me negotiate with the doctor, to restore your husband's eyesight," Kirana said, wiping her daughter's head crest with affection.

Kia came out of the room, unable to bear to find her sister crying. There was a great guilt on Petunia, making her feel even more useless. Nia's sacrifice of giving Adam away for him, quite shows, how sorry Petunia is to him.

Then when Nia was at this point, she could do nothing. You useless! that's just Kia's psychic curse.

"Dad, are you sure?" kia asked, looking at her father with an erratic feeling.

Abhimanyu smiled, wiping away Kia's slowly flowing tears, "very sure. I'm old, I'm afraid I won't have a chance to make your sister smile again. Maybe this is the time, I should do something for the good of everyone" Abhimanyu replied later.

The light of the morning sky, bearing witness that Petunia's cry, will be paid for Abhimanyu's sacrifice for his guilt.

For the sake of the sky that still hangs gray clouds, Abhimanyu immediately signed a deal with the hospital, to donate a pair of eyes. The eyes are the windows of the world, but they are meaningless when he uses them to see his daughter's cries.

"Kia, don't tell your sister first. Let him know when it's over. Farel must heal and only he can give happiness to your sister. Please, help your mother to calm Kia down. I'm fine here alone" Abhimanyu ordered later.

Kia nodded, leaving the father.

All over the frail body of the middle-aged man, lying in a hospital gurney. The man's warm smile, still reflected on being happy. It feels satisfied, Abi can give his best this time.

Slowly, the sound of footsteps approached. Abi knew that. Unfortunately, the man thought that the one who came was his wife, or his eldest daughter.

Soft delicate hand, touching her hand decorated with wrinkles. The man was impatient, eager to hear the results from his eye donor to Farel Prarasta.

"Kia, what about the result? It worked?" abhimanyu asked in a soft voice.

Silence, there's no answer. Abhimanyu frowned, feeling the warm hands of his youngest daughter whom he thought was Kia.

"Why just shut up? Let's answer. Did Farel really see again?" abhimanyu asked again, repeating the question demanding an answer.

"Why did you do this? To pay for your past mistakes to Nia and Farel?" Petunia's voice was slowly heartbreaking. The woman was holding Isak in tears so that her crying did not break instantly.

Abhimanyu just kept silent, feeling his heart pounding incessantly. He thought it was Kia who came to him.

"Sorry, I just want to make you smile happily with Farel. She's your choice. I think it's pointless to see, but only to see you crying in pain. Hopefully this way, can make Farel continue to make you happy," replied Abhimanyu.

What was heard next was that the Petunia's cry broke without being prevented. His ingrained hatred for the Father all this time, now as if eroded and changed with guilt.

No child hates the parents who raised him. On the contrary, no father would let his daughter cry. All that Abhimanyu did in the past, is a form of Abhimanyu's ambition to make Petunia a great woman.

"Nia promised, will always be happy and smile for Dad. Mas Farel will be healed. Thanks for everything, Dad. Thank you," said Petunia.

Petunia's smile and happiness, in the end returned slowly.

Behind the window, that pair of silent eyes could only see from afar.

Adam really missed the chance to get close, let alone to talk to Petunia.

In his own silence, all the tragedies experienced by the Abhimanyu family were caused by him. Forever, maybe Adam will just wallow in regret.
