Getting a little happiness

Kezia afshen

Today I came home early, hoping to see my husband when I got home from work. I cooked her favorite food, hoping she could be nice to me again. I washed his dirty clothes that were piled up in the basket. I separate the colored clothes and the white clothes.

As my hands nimbly put one by one clothes into the washing machine. There was an object that fell to the floor. My feet stepped up to take it, the next second my heart felt the pain again. It was a pendant in which there was a photo of Rama and sister Vania. I inhaled a lot of air and then I exhaled slowly. I must patiently undergo all this, however I must maintain my household. I won't lose to him, even if he's my brother. I've given up too often, I just want to feel the victory.

I continued my activities, I put the remaining clothes back into the washing machine. When the engine was turned on, suddenly the apartment door opened. That's a sign my husband's coming home from the office. I approached her, I gave her my best smile to welcome her. Even though all I got was a flat look from him. I stretched out my hand to kiss the back of her hand. My hands are always on her side. I still put on my best smile even though my heart was so hurt.

When Rama entered his room and saw his room was very neat. Suddenly I heard her screams loud enough to call my name. I rushed in to make sure. His face was very emotional while pointing at the dirty clothes basket.

"Where are you taking all my dirty clothes?"

"Look, baby, I'm washing it for you."

"I told you not to touch me or touch my things."

"But it's my duty as your wife."

"Wife? to me you're not my wife."

"Stay in the eyes of our religion and country is a married couple. You're my haku and I'm your right."

He seemed to be ignoring my words and was looking for something. To the extent that the room I had tidied up was a mess back. It appears he scrambled his rambur because the item he was looking for was not found.

"Are you looking for this?" I said while showing the linontin I found earlier.

He immediately smiled and immediately took the pendant out of my hand. I thought he was smiling at me because I found the lion. He smiled to get his liontance back. How precious the locket is than me, that is how I feel right now.

"Mas, here's our honeymoon ticket from Adrian's sister" I said, showing it to her.

"I wouldn't want to go on a honeymoon with a cunning woman like you. I better go on vacation with my beloved Vania" said Rama coldly.

"So you want to spend your time with my brother, do you?"

"Of course, because he's my lover."

"Well, I'll go alone" I said the final, then stepped out of Rama's room and closed it hard enough.

Her lips easily said my feet were her lover. Then it was me whose wife had been ignored. I was being nice to Rama. Intention wants to be devoted to the husband. But my husband is like that, always hurting my heart. Sometimes I can only smile bitterly feeling all this. Everything I do is always bad in her eyes.

My eyes were already glazed over, I immediately threw my body into the pool. I don't care if I'm still fully dressed. All I need right now is to spill my cries. Until when I can survive all this.

I threw my body back under the warm shower from the shower. I won't get sick just from swimming. Soon after, I dry my hair. Changing sleeveless nightgowns that are knee-length. I didn't mean to tease my husband. Even though the clothes I wear are very natural. I took my foot to open the door to make warm tea. I saw Rama who was focused on watching television shows without even covering me at all. I see the food I prepared at the table is still intact. Again I took a deep breath and breathed it rough.

I immediately turned back to go back to my room. Before long the clothes I was wearing had changed with white shirts, long jeans and hair that I put on top.

I put all the food on the dinner table. After all was gone, I set my foot toward the exit without saying goodbye to Rama. He scolded me because I was out at night.

"Where are you going?"

"Wasting this food," I said briefly and hurriedly closed the door of the apartment

I continued to walk with my feet in the dark of the night. It is not good for women to walk alone at night. But that doesn't happen to me. I'm not afraid of ghosts or annoying thugs. I can take care of myself because I can defend myself.

I stepped until my feet stopped at an old man sitting on the sidewalk with a little boy. They seem to starve when seen from their lethargic bodies. I approached them and squatted in front of them. At first they were surprised to see me. After I give you food and smile sweetly. They replied to me with a smile no less sweet. I'm so happy to see their happy twinkle. A single tear escaped down my cheek. It turns out that luxury does not guarantee the happiness of someone like me. Just looking at the food I gave them, made them both very happy.

"Thank you pretty sister" said the little boy I guessed was his grandson

"Sama-sama sweet sister," I said smilingly stroking her hair

"Where's your house?" ask me and just find the trousers.

That means they live on the streets every day. My heart was moved to help them.

"Where do you usually sleep?"

"We used to sleep under the bridge, son," said the grandfather.

I nodded, because it was night. I don't know where to take them both. Finally I can only promise, from tomorrow I will take them to a more decent place than under the bridge. Visible twinkle part of kakep and his grandson. I also felt the happiness of both of them. It turns out that being happy is this simple, seeing other people happy.

"Oh yeah, who's your grandpa and grandpa's name?introduce me Kezia."

"My name is Tari kak, my full name is Mentari and my sister is Bejo."

"Your name is so pretty, deck! all right, brother's gonna call you Dance and Grandpa I'm gonna call Grandpa Jo."

I have to go back to the apartment, before I give some of the hundreds to grandfather. My grandfather refused, but I forced him. I promise to see them back tomorrow. Actually I can't bear to leave them both and spend another night under the bridge. But I have to go back to the apartment.

When I opened the apartment door the lights seemed to have been turned off. It seems like Rama is asleep, because I see his shoes and sandals are still neatly arranged in place. That means he's not going anywhere tonight. I opened the door to my room and I just put my body in bed. I'm so happy to meet Jo's grandfather and also Dance. I can't wait for tomorrow and find a place to live for them. If I could all the street children I would make a special house for them to live in.
