34. Contrition
Both of Damar's parents were sitting in a doldrums after reading a letter left by Damar. Nearby is also a memory that Damar deliberately left behind. Inside contains photos of both parents with their respective affair. There were also their affair conversations that revealed their plans.
Upon seeing the contents of that memory, the two of them were shocked. It felt like shame for their actions all along. A foolishness that will be a lifelong regret. They understand Damar's departure.
"It turns out we've been betraying each other. And we do it in front of our children without us knowing. If only it had been that time." The heavy voice of a man sounded like it was shaking.
"What happened has happened. Now how are we going in the future?" said the woman near him. He was actually still surprised by the plans of the man who cheated on him. The plan is really rotten.
"Okay, I don't know either. Our hearts have been split . We are different now. Can we continue our relationship?"ask the man again.
"I also doubt. I don't think he knows what we're doing either."
"I want to change. I will end my relationship with him soon. From now on, I will try to be the old me. I don't want to lose another child. Although he was not a child but I had already considered him a child myself," in a voice full of regret the man said.
"I think , we better think more about our problem. I think that one month is a long time for us to think. What say?"
His mistake was always hesitant to chat with him. His mistake made Damar always lonely. It was the biggest mistake he had ever made in his entire life.
He wants to find out about Damar's whereabouts, but maybe things could get worse. Wherever he is, he hopes Damar can be happy always. Something precious was somehow only seen when he had disappeared.
His memories go back to seventeen years ago. At that time, on a stormy night he met a baby that his mother had just left. His voice sounded very sad at the time. Along with that, he also just lost a child .
After discussing for a long time and not knowing the whereabouts of the dead sister, they finally adopted the baby to replace her new child. They also took care of the woman's funeral.
Yesterday he lied, he said he did not know when he took care of everything. He did it because he was not ready to say about the true self of Damar. He still wants Damar to see him as his biological parent.
