Not Just a Milk Mother

Chapter 6

Early morning greeting, Allura immediately rose from his sleep as he heard the sound of the morning adhan reverberating. Allura shook Viana's shoulders slowly to wake her up. The girl stayed at the hospital to accompany Allura, they slept under Mother Ani's gurney with a thin mat.

"Na, wake. Let's go to mushola first" said Allura.

Viana began to open her eyes, she looked very sleepy. Maybe his sleep is less comfortable because it is only a thin mat.

"Come on!" Allura stretched out her hand to wake Viana up.

The girl received Allura's helping hand, they got up together and immediately tidied up her former bed. After that, they began to walk out of the hospital room with several other patient waiters and towards the place where the mushola is located.

After the prayer, Allura accidentally met with the doctor who last night received the accident victim he helped, more precisely Doctor Nandi who first saw Allura.

"Lho, Ms Lura, huh?" greeting Doctor Nandi as they were walking in the hallway to the cafeteria, Viana took him there to buy a warm drink.

Allura and Viana turned around to look at the person who greeted her.

"Lho, weren't you the doctor last night, huh?" ask Allura to make sure.

"Yes. Introduce, I'm Nandi." Doctor Nandi reached out his hand to shake hands, Allura and Viana received the helping hand in turn.

Last night they didn't know each other. So, they're just an official introduction at the moment. After getting to know each other, the three men finally resumed their journey to the hospital canteen.

"What about the victim last night, Doctor? Is he conscious now?" ask Allura who wants to know the condition of the person she helped.

"Alhamdulillah, he has been conscious since last night. And now his condition is improving. Maybe the next two days have also come home," replied Doctor Nandi accompanied by a smile.

Allura saw that smile was ordinary, but not Viana. The girl suddenly became quiet after meeting with Doctor Nandi.

"Why have you been quiet since?" allura asked Viana.

The girl who had been silent since by watching Doctor Nandi was seen stumbling.

"Huh, um, I .. I'm fine," Viana replied nervously.

Allura squinted her eyes as she looked at Viana's strangeness which she thought was strange.

"Are you really okay, Na?" ask Allura again to make sure that his friend is okay.

"What, the hell, Ra?! I'm really fine" Viana replied with a flushed face embarrassed that Doctor Nandi had been staring at her since.

Allura only nodded for a moment, knowing that his best friend was nervous because he was being watched by the young doctor in front of him. Allura returned to the topic at the beginning of their conversation, he felt relieved after hearing that the person he helped was fine.

"Thank God then. I hope he recovers quickly, Doc," said Allura.

"Amen. Thank you for your prayers" said Dr. Nandi.

Allura only smiled wryly in response to the doctor's remark.

"Does Miss intend to visit him? If 'Yes' I can take you to his ward," asked Doctor Nandi.

Allura smiled as he shook his head slowly, he did not intend to meet the victim he helped.

Doctor Nandi could only nod faintly, this time Arzan's guess was wrong. The man who helped her refused to meet her.

After the drinks they ordered were ready, the three separated in the hallway. The direction that Doctor Nandi was heading, was different from the direction Allura and Viana were heading.

Arriving at Mother Ani's room, Viana immediately confronted Allura with various questions about how she could get to know Doctor Nandi.

"Ra, why didn't you say that the doctor you were seeing was Doctor Nandi?" tanyanya.

Allura looked at Viana in surprise. Since when did Viana want to know the ins and outs of men? Hasn't Viana— been the most reluctant to be approached by a creature called a man? asked Allura in his heart.

Allura pricked Viana by touching the girl's forehead muttering, "Not hot. But, why is his attitude different than usual?"

Viana who was treated like that instantly brushed off Allura's hand from her forehead. He stared at Allura who was holding back his laughter.

"Hey beautiful, don't sulk like this dong," seduced Allura while touching Viana's chin.

Sometimes Viana felt a little astonished towards Allura, the girl very rarely showed her feelings. Among the two of them, the one who laughed the most and looked happy was Allura, even though the heaviest burden was also Allura. As for him, the person who is not too bear the burden because his family is quite capable, but he often complains and cries to Allura. What Viana knew, Allura would only cry if she saw Mother Ani was sick, let alone being unconscious like this, her heart could be completely fragile all of a sudden.

"Na, why are you looking at me with such a pitiful look?" ask Allura. From now on, Viana seemed to look at her pity and it was not liked by Allura. He doesn't want anyone else to pity him.

Viana knew the meaning of Allura's question, she immediately changed the look of her face.

"What am I staring at you like, hmmm?" tanyakanya.

Allura smiled faintly, she was quite amused by Viana's presence beside her.

"Nothing" he answered.

After that, there was silence between the two. Allura continued to pay attention to the screen monitor detecting the heartbeat of Mother Ani, until a moment later he remembered something.

"Well, what time are we gonna meet that guy?" ask Allura.

Viana slightly frowned, she forgot her schedule today. "Who do you mean, Ra?" ask him confusedly.

Allura turned to look at Viana. "Don't tell me you forgot, that today we're going to meet your cousin's employer?" his hissing while pointing at Viana's face.

At that instant Viana patted her forehead as well, she completely forgot about it.

"Forgive me. I forgot about it" he said with a guilty face.

"Habit," Allura grumbled lazily.

"Yes sorry, Ra. Her name is also human" replied Viana. A moment later, he reached into his bag to grab a cell phone. "Let me ask Dian first. Mumpung now he has not left for his employer's house," continued Viana by sticking the flat object in his ear.

Allura just nodded slowly. If only he was not in need of money, Allura was reluctant to ask that.

Viana walked outside the room, she called her cousin outside. Until Allura did not know what Viana was asking Dian.

After a few minutes later, Viana came back in and told about Dian asking Allura and Viana to meet her master at noon.
