Not Just a Milk Mother

Not Just a Milk Mother
Chapter 15

Arzan was surprised, for almost ten days his wife did not go home, even his parents also went to look for Rivera's whereabouts. However, they all could not find him.

"Zan, how about now, have you found your wife's whereabouts?" ask Mrs Fika, Arzan's mother.

"No, Ma. Until now I have not found it, searched in his apartment is not there. His personal assistant was not aware of her whereabouts either" Arzan replied as he rubbed his face in frustration.

Madam Fika sighed harshly when she heard the child's answer. Though he came to visit his son's house to accompany the son-in-law who might soon be born. However, his hope is now dashed because in reality Rivera he did not meet. Never mind to meet, when contacted Rivera chose to refuse his call.

"Zan, is your marriage in trouble?" ask Mr. Anderson, Papa Arzan.

Arzan caught up to hear the question of the papa. How not, he had tried to be kind and accept Rivera as he was, but the woman continued to refuse all good treatment Arzan to him.

"We ... Our relationship ... Our relationship is fine, Pa. Papa doesn't have to worry about our household, I can definitely handle all the problems that happen in this marriage."

Although the answer Arzan gave a little to make the two people hesitant, but he still tried to cover it up, he did not want to make both parents sad for the marriage.

"Zan, do you know the estimated date Rivera will give birth?" madam Fika asked excitedly, she was already impatient to pet the granddaughter she had wanted all this time.

"Still a long time, Ma," replied Arzan.

Arzan was not aware of Rivera's schedule for the gynaecology check, but he always opened Rivera's pregnancy checkbook without his wife's knowledge.

Not in vain I always read the book, his mind with a thin smile.

Hearing the child's answer, Madam Fika nodded in understanding. The woman who still looks beautiful at the age of almost half a century is looking forward to the birth of her first grandchild. In fact, she forced her husband to live in the same city with his son for some time so that he could watch his daughter-in-law give birth.

"Hopefully Rivera and the baby are always in good health, Mama is very worried about them" said Mrs Fika with a sad face.

"Calm, Ma. They must be fine" said Mr. Anderson, rubbing his wife's shoulder.

Arzan himself feels guilty for not being able to reveal the true state of his household to Mrs Fika and Mr. Anderson. However, he is not possible if he has to constantly cover up the reality, especially when Rivera is in a relationship with other men and it makes him more disappointed and furious.

I'm sorry, Ma, Pa. My marriage is on the edge right now. I'm sorry if I let you guys down, but I can't accept a betrayal, Arzan said, staring at his parents sitting on the couch in front of him.

Arzan's sad gaze was caught by the papa, but the middle-aged man chose to shut up and wait for the child to tell him.

After the day began to afternoon, Madam Fika passed from there and left Mr. Anderson and Arzan who were still sitting on the sofa.

"Son, can we talk for a second? There's something I want to ask you" Anderson told Arzan.

"Yes, Dad."

The two men of different ages also stepped into the workspace owned by Arzan, Mr. Anderson felt proud of the child who has achieved quite a lot in the field of business he lived.

"Well, it looks like your current efforts are getting smoother, huh?" mr. Anderson opened up the conversation between the two.

"Alhamdulillah, Dad. None of this would have happened without your prayers and support" Arzan said.

"We will always support you while still in a good direction. We believe you, Zan. If your business can be handled well, surely household affairs can you finish well too."

Arzan immediately stared at the words of his father, he felt a little hesitant to tell what had really happened in his marriage.

Huhf, it seems that for now I have not been able to tell the true state of my household to Papa and Mama, Inner Arzan while sighing heavily.

While the two men were still talking about business matters, suddenly Mr. Anderson and Arzan heard a shouting voice from Mrs Fika.

"Pa, isn't that Mama's voice?" ask Arzan who first realized the cry of his mother.

"Lho, yes, Zan. But why is your mother angry? Not usually?" ask Mr. Anderson while saving the file he was reading.

"We'd better get ahead, I'm worried about Mama. It's not usually like that."

Arzan got up and walked first followed by Mr. Anderson behind him. As he was about to arrive at the living room, the men stared at the scene in front of him.

Madam Fika was cursing at a woman standing arrogantly in front of her, as if she did not care about what Madame Fika was saying to her.

"Ve, Mama didn't think of you. Can you leave your son alone in the hospital, while you wander like this?! Where's your love for your baby, huh?!" mrs Fika shouted while pointing at her daughter-in-law Rivera's face.

Just a moment ago, Lady Fika was shocked by the arrival of the son-in-law who was already in a flat stomach, while there was no baby in her hands. After he asked where the baby was, Rivera casually replied that she had given birth and that she had left him.

At once also Madam Fika began to feel emotion, she did not expect if the uncertain she loved turned out to be very hearty to leave the baby alone.

"Ck, stop, Ma. I am cute, I just came home from M island, to undergo the shooting process there. And, once here Mama even poked me with questions about the baby that I had forgotten. After all, the baby is fine too." Rivera began to step onto the sofa and sat there, he did not heed the words of Madam Fika.

Madam Fika shook her head with sharp eyes staring at her daughter-in-law's behavior. Rivera who used to be so obedient, obedient and always keep his behavior is gone. The woman had already transformed into someone else unknown to Madam Fika, everything she saw was now very different.
