Rivera did not know all of his rude remarks to Mrs Fika were heard by Mr. Anderson and Arzan. In silence, Arzan continued to pay attention to everything Rivera said to his son, an emotion he currently felt he could only endure by clenching his hands.
Mr. Anderson who saw the child burning emotions immediately calmed him down, he asked Arzan not to get carried away with emotions. Actually he himself also felt angry and disappointed with Rivera's attitude now, but he chose to be quiet and solve the problem well.
"Patience, Zan. Now we meet Vera first, ask her carefully and do not get carried away by emotions. Youunderstand?" ask Mr. Anderson to the child.
"You want to be asked what it's like, Pa? What he had done was outrageous, he left the hospital on the grounds of work. She gave birth without telling us. Now, that child he left there just like that" Arzan growled with his clenched hands.
"Papa won't let you see Vera now if the emotions are still like this" Anderson said, holding Arzan's hand. He knew how to approach Arzan when he was angry, so Mr. Anderson did not let Arzan meet Rivera in an emotional state.
Arzan now looked at his father in disappointment as he felt Mr. Anderson was protecting Rivera.
"Why is Papa defending that woman? Pa, she's left my son in the hospital, she doesn't respect Mama as her father-in-law either. Didn't you see his attitude?" sergeant Arzan stared intently at the papa.
Mr. Anderson shook his head slowly, he did not at all justify the actions of his son-in-law. However, he tried to prevent the child from being carried away by emotions like today.
"Son, Papa doesn't want you to do things that will hurt you the next day. Okay, if you want to see Vera now, but papa asks you not to get carried away. How's it?" bargain Mr. Anderson before they approach Mrs Fika who is still arguing with Rivera.
Arzan tried to calm his heart, the man took a deep breath before finally exhaling violently. After doing this three times, he looked at his father while nodding.
"I'm ready, Pa," said Arzan.
"Alright, come on ...."
Mr. Anderson patted his son's shoulder for a moment. Finally they stepped into the room where Rivera and Lady Fika were.
"Ck, stop, Ma. I am tired, I just returned from the island of M, to undergo the process of shooting there. And, once here Mama even poked me with questions about the baby that I had forgotten. After all, the baby was fine, too" Rivera said. Even his face did not look guilty or lost.
"Vera, he's your son. You just finished giving birth and your son needs you now, Ve! Where are your heart and mind?!" mrs Fika asked in a slightly higher tone.
"Honored Lady Fika, as long as you remember, me and Arzan married without love. And right now I still can't accept that marriage!" rivera answered.
"Then, if you don't love her, how can in less than a year, you get pregnant and have children? Isn't that a sign that you also have feelings for Arzan. Don't be a hypocrite, Ve. You definitely won't want to be touched by a guy you don't like, will you?" Madame Fika smiled cynically because she thought Rivera was already a hypocrite not admitting her own feelings.
Rivera giggled in amusement when he heard Lady Fika's question. Without guilt, Rivera finally told Mrs Fika the truth.
"You're wrong, Madam. I'm used to doing one night stands with some guys, so I think that's normal."
How could I do that without realizing it? I think he was crying at the time because he had lost the most precious thing for him, Arzan said.
Yes, Arzan remembers the first and last time they slept together, he found Rivera crying beside where he was lying. At that time Arzan thought Rivera was crying because of it. However, Rivera's current confession leaves Arzan ashamed of himself.
How could I not have realized that? Oh my God .... Arzan rubbed his face rough, he was embarrassed and frustrated himself.
Rivera's confession not only surprised Arzan, but Mrs Fika and Mr. Anderson were the same. They did not expect, if the daughter-in-law who had always been his pride was nothing more than a cheap woman.
"Don't be surprised like that, ma'am. For us, it's common." Even Rivera admitted that without shame or guilt.
"Thank you, Rivera Carolline. You've already admitted everything, so I don't have to look for any other truth. After your puerperium is over, I'll be done with our divorce."
Arzan came suddenly from behind his body, he heard everything Rivera said to his mother.
"Ar–Arzan."
Madam Fika was surprised by the arrival of her husband and son, she thought if the two men were still in the workspace and did not hear the conversation he and his daughter-in-law.
"I was once confused because I had no clear reason to divorce you, let alone to explain it to my parents. But, you kindly express who you are" said Arzan coldly.
Even Rivera did not see the look of anger in Arzan's eyes. He thought Arzan would be angry and commit violent acts on him, so that he could prosecute and put the man in prison.
Si*l, why doesn't he look angry at all? Shouldn't he just beat me up? If this is the case, I don't have any evidence of the violence he did in order to go to prison, Rivera's inner heart while throbbing resentment.
I don't know what revenge Rivera had on Arzan, so he had the intention to throw Arzann into prison.
"Good, now you can calm down because there will be no woman who makes you hold back your emotions again" Rivera said with a cynical smile. If his body does not feel tired, Rivera may destroy some of the contents of the house to vent his frustration on the husband.
Madam Fika and Mr. Anderson could only look at the child and daughter-in-law with sad and angry looks. All this time they thought the marriage of the child and his son-in-law would succeed, but after seeing this incident, their hopes were finally dashed.
"I will wait for our divorce papers" Rivera continued, standing from his seat and walking towards the exit of the house.
After Rivera's departure, Arzan clenched his hand. The emotions he had been holding back, now overflowed back when he saw Rivera who sauntered away from his house.
