Not a Substitute
B7 Clumsy Atmosphere
“I'm Steven. I'm an actor who plays in movies ... You may have seen my face on TV. Not ever but often. Now my drama is again on TV.” Steven took the TV remote and turned on the TV.
He was looking for a TV channel that aired the drama he played. “I played on this FTV. Sister watch.”
Violet sees Steven on TV and Steven beside her.
“More handsome I am in the real world, right?” Steven said with his narcissism. “TV makes my body look fat 5 kg.”
“Do not get close.” Agus sat down between Violet and Steven who were already sitting next to each other and made him jealous.
“Kak Agus must quickly marry Kak Violet. Later he snatched another man.”
“We're married.”
“When? I was not invited. I've already told Brother that I want to be Brother's wedding MC.”
“Let you be photographed by people?" Agus knows that his stepbrother likes the attention of people. Unlike her low profile self.
Violet whispered to Agus. “Mas, Steven is his sister Mas Agus?”
Steven answered immediately. “Iya. I'm Mas Agus' younger brother.”
“Bull sister?”
“Not. Step-sister. We have the same papa.” replied Steven.
Pantes. Steven looks more fluffy.
Steven took a piece of paper and signed it. He gave it to Violet without being asked. “Sometimes this signature will be of very high value. Brother Violet can sell if Brother no longer has money.”
Steven then turned to Agus. “Sister, I'm hungry.”
“Buy aja at resto. You have a lot of money.”
“But nothing is as delicious as Sister's cooking.”
“Say you want to eat for free.”
“He ... he ..”
Agus headed to the kitchen. He opened the fridge and saw what ingredients he could use for cooking. He took out carrots, corn, sausages, onions.
Violet and Steven headed to the kitchen. They saw the way Agus cooked. Fascinated together when Agus turned the ingredients in the fry pan without spatula like a professional chef.
Steven took three empty dishes in the kitchen cabinet. Warm fried rice sausage quickly served. Steven ate it up. Violet too. The warm food warms his heart.
“No eating?” Violet saw that Agus had not touched her fried rice yet.
“I'm full see you eat.”
Steven was about to take Agus' plate. “If Big Brother is full for me only his fried rice.”
Agus managed to maintain his plate. “My wife asked me to gain weight.” Agus started eating.
“Do not eat much, Brother. Later Sister-in-law ran away if Big Brother fat,” Steven's tease.
Steven's phone rings. A phone call from the manager reminded him it was time to shoot. Steven changed the phone mode to a video call. “Sir Manager, see Kak Agus' wife. Beautiful, right?”
Agus immediately took Steven's phone and disconnected the video call. He didn't want to show Violet's face to his sister's manager.
“Kak, don't be over protective like sister-in-law.” Steven then said goodbye after finishing fried rice on his plate. “Later tonight I ate again here.”
After Steven left.
Violet washes dirty dishes and cooking utensils. “Steven it stay where?”
“In the next unit,” replied Agus.
“Is he really Mas's half-sister?”
“Not similar, huh?”
“Iya.”
“More handsome him?”
“Iya,” replied Violet honestly.
Agus quiet. He knew his sister was supple and often became a thawing atmosphere unlike her who could be said to be a little stiff.
The atmosphere became clumsy between the two of them. Violet was confused as to what else to say.
