Not a Substitute

THE K FLOWER SHOP

In a flower shop. When no customers come.

“Can you leave Dodo to the orphanage?” ask Santi's husband.

“Means Brother?” Santi had guessed a little what would happen later. He has often heard this.

“I want us to stay alone when we are married,” said prospective husband Santi.

Santi immediately took off her engagement ring and gave it to her future husband. “Kak, we just cancel our wedding. I can't leave Dodo to the orphanage.” Santi can't leave Dodo for the orphanage.

Santi's future husband then left while carrying his engagement ring. Santi canceled marriage for the umpteenth time because her future husband wanted Dodo put in an orphanage. They just want Santi.

Little dodo came. “Maafin Dodo, Ma.” He was the reason why Santi could not get married until now..

“Dodo is not wrong. Dodo does not need to apologize.” Santi wiped away the tears of Dodo. “Do not cry. Mama is young. Mama can still find men who want to take care of Dodo as well.

Later Mama look for papa who is more handsome and richer than om earlier.” Santi has decided to remain single for the rest of his life. He can make his own money. It doesn't need anyone else.

A man walks into Santi's flower shop. He wanted to buy flowers for his mother's birthday. 

“There can I help?” Santi asked. The man looked over and he fell in love with Santi. 

“There can I help?” Santi asked again because there was no response from the man. 

“E ... I want to buy flowers for my mom. What flowers are suitable for her?” 

“What is your mama personality like?” Santi asked.

“My name is ..”

“Then such a red carnation flower is suitable for your mama.” Santi advised.

“I will buy five stalks of carnation flowers. Please wrapped pretty and neatly,” said the man.

“Good. Please wait.” Santi placed the carnation flower on a wrapping paper. He gave a ribbon at the bottom to tie the flower wrapper.

“Everything ..”

The man paid the flowers he bought. 

The next day it came again. I want to buy more flowers.

The customer yesterday. Santi approached the man. “There can I help?”

“I want to buy flowers for my sister. I like the yellow roses. Is there?” The man did not see any yellow roses in the store.

“I will see it first in the back garden. How many stalks do you need?” ask Santi.

“Three stalks only,” replied the man.

“Good. Please wait a moment. I'll check it first.” Santi went to the back garden. He saw yellow roses. He cut three stalks just like his customers demand. He then wrapped it up and handed it to the man.

The next day the man came again. He came to see Santi. But she covers him up on the grounds of buying flowers for his little sister. I'm actually the youngest. I don't have a sister.

Santi approached the man. “There can I help?”

“I want to buy flowers for my sister. White lily flower.”

“How many stalks do you need?”

Santi took three lily stalks and wrapped them beautifully.

The guy paid for it.

The next day the man came again. He will confess his love to Santi. He waited until the shop was a little quiet. As he was about to speak, came the little boy named Dodo who immediately ran to hug Santi. “Mama ..”

The man went straight down. Turns out to be married. He was going home. It was like hearing a whisper.

The little boy is not his son.

Did ya? Why did the little boy call Mama?

The man seemed to gain strength from the whisper. He ventured to meet Santi. 

“There can I help?” Santi approached the man.

“I want to get acquainted with you. My name is Jaka. But I'm no longer a virgin.” Jaka provides unnecessary information.

Santi smiled a little. He felt that the man in front of him was a good person. If just getting acquainted is okay. Santi put boundaries. “I Santi.”

Jaka comes every day to meet Santi and Dodo. Finally Jaka knows that Dodo is not Santi's biological child. Dodo is the daughter of Santi's older sister who died with her husband in an accident. Only Dodo survived the crash. Santi has been caring for Dodo ever since.

But when Jaka declares his love for Santi, Santi subtly rejects him. “I want our relationship to reach friendship only. No more.”

“Why?”

“You don't need to know the reason.”

Sound again. Santi is afraid that men who like him will not stay with Dodo.

“What's Dodo because? I want to stay with Dodo.” Jaka did not blame the existence of Dodo.

“How about your parents? Will they agree? What about your brother and sister?”

“My parents are dead. I don't think my older sister would mind the existence of Dodo.”

“Your sister?”

“I don't have a sister. I lied to you because I wanted to meet you.” Jaka opened up his lie.

“Good. I'll accept your feelings.” Santi wants to give Jaka a chance. Dodo also looks familiar with Jaka.

Sometimes Jaka would take them for a walk. People who see them may think they are a happy little family. Especially when looking at Dodo who looks happy when held on the shoulders of Jaka.

When it feels right, Jaka takes Santi and Dodo to meet his older sister. Jaka's older sister did not blame Dodo for his existence. He also agrees that Jaka and Santi are married.

I want to buy more flowers. He ordered 100 red roses to Santi. The reason is for the client. Jaka holds a bouquet of 100 roses and gives it to Santi. “This flower is for you. And this ring. Will you marry me?” Jaka proposed to Santi.

“I want.” Santi stuck out his hand. He did not expect Jaka to propose so soon.

Soon they got married. Jaka lives with Santi and Dodo while welcoming the birth of their baby.
