NO DIGAS ADIOS (Don't Say Goodbye)

"Have you left Bik?" adam asked that morning when he found the dining table was still neat. He glanced at his watch, at 7:45 AM.

"Non Selenia has not come down from earlier sir." replied Bi Iyah while pouring a drink in the glass. "So I knocked on the door about 6 and a half, but it wasn't opened. Maybe still sleeping."

Adam raised an eyebrow. Is Selenia on school holidays? The power is not. Adam checks the phone to make sure Selenia sends him a message, but it doesn't exist. There is only a message from Renata that tells him that he has not been able to enter because his son has not healed. After sipping his drink, Adam returned upstairs to Selenia's room.

Adam knocked on Selenia's bedroom door. For a few seconds there was no response. So he carefully turned the doorknob of the room and the door was not locked.

"Cell...?" call Adam. He walked over to his wife's bed.

"Mmmh.." said Selenia shrieked from under her blanket.

"Aren't you in school?" Adam sat on the edge of the bed.

Slowly Selenia opened the blanket and was a little surprised to find Adam sitting on the edge of his bed. Their position is very close. A smile on Adam's lips.

Selenia is very beautiful if you just wake up, Adam's mind. Her hand gently stroked Selenia's forehead. But immediately the smile disappeared as his hand felt the abnormal temperature of the forehead.

"Cell?? You sick??" ask Adam to worry. His face turned anxious.

Selenia was silent. His body felt so weak this morning. That's why he didn't wake up as early as he usually does. Because of heavy rain and lightning last night he became insomnia until almost the morning. He was scared but didn't know what to do. If only there was a Father, Selenia would definitely ask her Father to accompany her to sleep. He had wanted to knock on Adam's bedroom door and sleep in his room - even if having to sleep on the couch didn't matter - but then he undoes his intention. She's shy. Finally he chose to stay in the room until it became like this. Fear, anxiety, and difficulty sleeping made his body feverish.

"Let me take you to the hospital." Adam slowly supported Selenia's body to rise. "Why don't you talk to me anyway if you're sick with Cells? Geez.." he was really worried seeing Selenia's state.

Selenia was only able to resign when Adam picked up the jacket hanging from the kapstok and put it on his body. Without much thought she immediately took Selenia to the hospital.

"Be careful, sir... Non.." Bik Iyah's message before they leave for the hospital.

Inwardly, Bi Iyah blamed herself. Why is he insensitive when Selenia hasn't come down until breakfast time? Why didn't he try to check into his room?

But how else? With anxious and worried feelings she hoped that her female employer would get treatment quickly.

Cia sat restlessly on her stool. He occasionally glanced at the empty bench next to him. She was confused as to why Selenia did not enter and did not give her any news. Even the WhatsApp messages he sent were not read at all. Selenia doesn't usually behave like that.

"Where is soulmate?" chirp Lala suddenly. The boy sat cross-legged on his own stool while playing with his hair.

Cia snorted softly and stared lazily at Lala. Regardless of Lala's question, Cia pulled the phone out of her pocket again and contacted Selenia again. But until a few minutes left the sound of 'tut' his call unanswered.

"It's none of your business." replied Cia cynically.

Lala sneered and shook her head.

"The story is good too. Bummer!" Lala walked up and out of class. But just as his steps reached the doorway, the class entrance bell rang.

Cia was still confused as to why Selenia did not enter but did not inform herself first. As a result, during the first hour of lessons that morning, Cia was not so concentrated. Luckily his seat was not in the front row. So it didn't really get any special attention from the teacher because he wasn't focused on paying attention to the first lesson that morning.

Selenia gets out of bed in the doctor's examination room assisted by Adam. The doctor just finished checking his condition.

"Selenia.." The doctor read Selenia's medical visit form paper. "You're a big brother or.. If his father is not possible huh? Too young.." he turned the question to Adam with a smile.

Adam and Selenia looked at each other. Gently, Adam clasped Selenia's hand trying to send out a signal that there was nothing to worry about. The doctor also did not detail the interrogation of the two.

"Selenia's sister is just a normal fever. Fatigue and sleep deprivation seem to be. So for a while do not have a lot of activity, yes." said the doctor. "Or maybe you want to open for a few days, so that the rest can be optimal?" he offered.

Hearing the word Opname Selenia immediately shook her head.

The doctor smiled looking at the ring. "Then I make the prescription of the drug yes, as well as a certificate does not go in to be delivered to school."

After receiving the prescription, they left the room and headed for the pharmacy.

"Why don't you want to be on the phone?" ask Adam.

Adam chuckles. She embraced the warm Selenia. As they are about to arrive at the pharmacy, they accidentally cross paths with Renata with her nanny. Renata was holding Nola who seemed to have no passion.

"Well, Ren? Nola why?" Adam releases his arms from Selenia.

It turns out that Adam is very familiar with his coworkers this one. To the point that he knew his son's name. Selenia slightly shuffled and looked at another corner.

"Eh, Mr. Adam..." Renata nodded respectfully. "It has been two days that Nola's fever has not dropped and today the doctor suggested that it be on the hospital for a few days."

Hearing that sentence Selenia's heart became tenuous. He was advised to refuse, and now he sees a child this small must be hospitalized, injected to be given an infusion. Selenia bergidig.

"Oh my goodness, you're so fucking Nola..." Adam stroked Nola's hair lovingly. "Yes Ren, you focus first on your child, let me talk to Mr. Anton."

"Thank you so much, sir. Then excuse me first, go to the inpatient room." said Renata.

"Okay, take care of yourself and take good care of Nola." Adam's message.

That sentence made Renata's mood slightly better. At least there's still someone who cares about him and his son. Somehow he felt that his boss cared so much about him.

Before boarding the elevator to the 3rd floor where Nola's inpatient room was located, Renata had turned around and noticed Adam walking further away. He took the woman who was with him.

That woman was Adam, right?
