NO DIGAS ADIOS (Don't Say Goodbye)

The house was quiet as Selenia descended down. Her in-laws had left the house before dawn and deliberately did not wake her up. Ms. Lisa was just saying goodbye through a voice note sent to Selenia's phone. He also advised Selenia to always take care of herself and her 'little family'.

While confirming the location of his tie, Selenia rushed into the kitchen to find Bik Iyah who was making breakfast.

"By, Bik!" selenia. He pulled up a chair and sat down. At the table there is nothing available except hot tea that is still in the clear teapot.

Bik Iyah was shocked. He twisted his body and looked in astonishment at Selenia. Then his eyes turned to look at the wall clock and looked back at Selenia who started playing her phone. Tumben really Non Selenia this hour is awake. It's tidy again. Inner Bik Iyah when looking at the clock that still shows at 06.05 am.

"Wake up Non? Well, Auntie hasn't done anything about this. In a moment, Non," said Bik Iyah as he stirred the fried rice in the frying pan in a hurry. The smell filled the room.

"Look down Bik. I was leaving as usual" Selenia smiled at Bik Iyah's nervousness.

Bik Iyah shrink the stove fire. He then approached Selenia, intending to pour the tea into a cup.

"Not Bik," hold Selenia. "Later let me pour it myself. Wait for Adam."

"Wait...." Bik Iyah frowned. "...Sir.." not usually.

"Wait for Adam. He's coming back from Papa Mama, right?"

"Eh. e..I-iya Non," Bik Iyah returned the teapot to its place. "Yes already that Bibik continued to cook the fried rice first yes."

Selenia nodded.

Non Selenia coke........ Usually he always has his own breakfast if there is no Mr. Edwin and Miss Lisa here. Inner Bik Iyah while continuing to stir the fried rice.

A few minutes later, Bik Iyah had finished his cooking along with the roar of a car engine that was heard entering the courtyard. Shortly after the engine shut down, someone emerged from the garage door that was directly connected to the kitchen. Adam with a thick navy parka and long running joggers walked over to Selenia who welcomed her arrival with a sweet smile. Of course he was surprised to get such an unusual reception. But Adam still tried to behave appropriately so as not to make Selenia disappointed. He returned the smile and sat down on the chair in front of Selenia.

"Hhffsss...it's so cold...!" he said while rubbing both his hands.

Seeing that, Selenia deftly put the phone in her hand and stood up. He then poured the hot tea in the teapot carefully from it to Adam's cup that was already available. Not to forget he also poured tea into his own cup.

"Why is Mama taking off?" ask Selenia.

Adam just nodded slowly. Not lost his astonishment to see Selenia's attitude which he thought changed. What's the matter? Or is it just my feelings? Inner Adam. He sipped the tea a little, then went back to see Selenia.

Physically, Selenia did not change. She still looks beautiful and cute with a high school uniform on her body. But Adam was absolutely convinced that there was something else about his wife's attitude. Especially when Bik Iyah began to serve breakfast at the table. Selenia deftly took over the task. He served fried rice to Adam's plate and his own plate.

"Hmm?" Selenia. "Breakfast, afternoon rush. Today you're starting to work again, right?"

Hearing the speech as well as seeing the expression, it does not feel like asking something that is feared will damage the atmosphere. The atmosphere of the morning that Adam thought was so comfortable. It's just that Adam really wanted to know, what made his wife's attitude suddenly change.

"Oh. e. yes, I started working today again" Adam finally replied. "But I'm leaving a little afternoon."

"Yes, what's important is that you have breakfast first."

Adam smiled. She caught the attention vibration from Selenia's attitude even though the child still looked indifferent.

They had breakfast together for the first time since marriage. Bik Iyah who had been watching them while some were in the kitchen, confused and happy with the scene. In his heart he did not stop thanking me for what happened in this house this morning. Hope this is a good start for both of them.

Inner Selenia was sad along the way to school that morning. Her eyes glazed over at the portrait of herself and a woman on the mobile phone screen. Photos of her when she was healthy. Photos of the two of them during a holiday in Bali.

Plus the words of Adam that he had stolen heard last night, always ringing in the ears and smashing his feelings. How bad has he been all this time?
