Chapter 4: He is Not the Enemy, Satoruu!

...Chapter 4: He is Not the Enemy, Satoruu!...

...[.He's Not the Enemy, Satoruu!]...

...•...

Previously, Satoruu and Yuka lost their consciousness due to the thick fog produced by the mysterious man. With blurred eyes in his view, Satoruu seemed to see the mysterious man he had met when a minotaur shocked residents in the city park.

On the other hand, Viona and Shelina found no other way to head to their place. Which is where they have to force open the gate.

However, it seemed that they would not be able to open that gate without a fight. A chimera appeared behind them and directly cornered Shelina. The chimera that came out of nowhere was ready to devour the little girl.

Braving herself, Viona pushes the chimera away from Shelina with her earth magic that hits the chimera until it bounces to the left side of the basement wall.

"They're not our enemies, you idiot," a man with his heavy voice came from the closed gate.

Instantly, the chimera that had attacked them became tame as if obeying someone's orders.

The closed gate slowly opened, then revealed a black-robed man, it was the same person as the mysterious man who saved Yuka.

"I told you not to attack if I didn't tell you to." He opened the head covering on his robe.

When he removed his head covering, the cotton-white-haired man and the scarlet-red eyes were seen. His wrinkled face with a wound on his left cheek was expressionless, emotionless as he looked at Viona and Shelina with a cold gaze. When he spoke, his voice was deep and hoarse, mixed with a hint of darkness that gave them goosebumps.

Every move he made was deliberate and calculated, as if he had mastered the art of dark magic. The aura of darkness surrounding him could almost be palpated, as if it was an extension of his existence.

With hesitation, Viona pulled out an axe as if she wanted to attack him.

The man stopped and sighed while closing his eyes. "Are you deaf? I told you you guys weren't our enemies."

"I'm not going to kill you!" snapped Viona. "Where are Satoruu and Yuka?!"

Walking back inside the gate, the man said that Satoruu and Yuka were in his room, unconscious. As soon as it was heard by them, Viona and Shelina followed the man.

Then in the man's room, Satoruu had regained his consciousness, making him open his eyes slowly.

"A foreign ceiling," Satoruu muttered in his weak voice.

Slowly but surely, Satoruu lifted his body so that he was in a position to sit on a mattress. Then he put his left hand to his head, thinking about what really happened.

Satoruu was surprised and looked at his left hand, then turned to the right looking at who was right beside his right. Sure enough as Satoruu imagined, Yuka lay unconscious nearby.

Lying helplessly, Yuka was unconscious with Satoruu on a mattress in a room.

As Satoruu looked at Yuka's face, he felt a strong urge to touch her hair. His long black hair stretched out on the pillow, framing his face in such a way that made him appear peaceful and vulnerable.

Satoruu feels sorry for Yuka and hopes she can do something to help him.

He slowly reached out and touched his hair with his fingertips. It was soft and delicate, and Satoruu could not help but touch it.

While doing so, he noticed that his heartbeat was pounding so fast that he could not wake him up.

Satoruu sat there, daydreaming, as he watched Yuka sleep. Her beauty, elegance, and kindness had captivated her heart.

As he reached out his hand to touch her, he heard the door open. Satoruu quickly turned his head and saw the mysterious man, Viona, and Shelina entering the room.

"What are you doing?" the man asked, surprised to see Satoruu leaning towards Yuka.

"I just checked," said Satoruu, trying to hide his embarrassment.

Viona walked to the bed and looked at Yuka. "Is he okay?"

Satoruu nodded. "He just fainted. I just wanted to touch his hands, but you guys came in."

The man raised an eyebrow. "You want to touch his hand? Why?"

Satoruu felt his face turn red. He can't explain his feelings about Yuka, even to his closest friends. He knew they wouldn't understand.

"I just want to see if he's still breathing" he said, hoping they would stop the subject.

"What do you say" said the man. "We'll just wait for him to wake up."

"By the way, it's good that you've come to your senses, Satoruu," said the man.

Yuka's eyes opened wide, groaning softly as she tried to sit down. Satoruu was immediately by his side, his hand on his shoulder, gently urging him to lie still.

"Just calm down, Yuka," said Satoruu softly. "You fainted. Just relax for a second."

"What's going on?" Yuka asked, her voice almost whispering.

Satoru sighed. "You inhale that mist, just like me. Relax, the fog just knocked you out. But don't sit up right away, let your body adapt to this room lying down."

Yuka nodded, and Satoruu sat beside her on the bed, her hands still on her shoulders. He could feel his warmth radiating through him, and he could not help but feel comforted by his presence.

As they were silent, Yuka felt a strange sensation in her hand. He looked down and saw Satoruu's hands resting on his hands, his fingers gently intertwined with his.

Yuka looked at him, and she could see the worry engraved on his face. He knew that he was just trying to help, and he let him hold his hand.

As they joined hands, Yuka felt a strange warmth coursing through her. He could not explain it, but he felt safe and protected with Satoruu by his side.

"By the way, the mysterious person ...," Yuka said.

Then the mysterious man introduced himself while sitting on a chair near a table that looked messy. "My name is Kurayami Saishira, you can call me Saishira or anything similar to that."

"Sorry about before, I just wanted to test your skills because I heard you were one of those people destined to be that savior." Saishira contrasted one of the papers glued to the wall with a red marker.

The paper reads "two other rescuers" which relates to Satoruu and Yuka who are trapped inside this world.

A little surprised, Satoruu asked, "Wait, so you're the other person?"

"Rather precisely the first in terms of time, I've been in this world for about 1 year more." Saishira approached and read the paper at the right end of the table.

In a sense, it was Saishir who was first thrown into this world before them.

"That means you're from the same world as us, right?"

"Fright." Saishira opened the cupboard under the table and took a book from inside the closet.

Then Satoruu got up from the bed and approached Saishira. "So, what exactly is your purpose and why are you taking cover behind your identity as the mysterious savior?"

Darkness, one of the elements of nature that invites the nature of mystery, crime, secrets, and cruelty. In this world, darkness is one of the supernatural forces, magic, on the strongest natural elements other than light. Not everyone can get this magic, even the chosen ones can't necessarily control it.

Darkness can cause bad things, but not infrequently also darkness can be controlled so that it can be used for good things.

"Humans always assume that darkness is always bad, but not necessarily" Saishira said. "Actually magic depends on its user."

Magic is an inexplicable supernatural force. But magic knows neither good nor evil, they are created by both.

There was indeed magic that pushed its users into both, but as long as its users did not fall into their emotions, magic would not be able to manipulate them.

"I know your voice." Yuka got up and sat up from the bed. "Who are you?"

Saishira read the book. "20 years. I've never met you guys, even I still feel alien to your faces."

Satoruu approached Saishira. "All right, so your goal is just to erase that stereotype?"

"It is precisely by removing those stereotypes that darkness will not be perceived as a bad threat." Saishira looked at Satoruu coldly.

But as they were discussing, the roar of a minotaur rang out from above, shaking the room of Saishira.

Up above and looking towards the entrance gate of the kingdom, it is true that there is a minotaur who entered and destroyed the kingdom.

The citizens panicked and hysterically saw the minotaur that messed up the kingdom. Meanwhile the knights evacuated the citizens to a much safer place to prevent any casualties.

Looking from afar, an arctic blue haired man and a sky blue haired man were fighting the minotaur with his sword.

"That's right, brother Ryan and brother Rayvin!" Shelina pointed at them, recognizing them.

As it turns out, their names are Aska Ryan, the arctic blue hair, and Geoffrey Vinnii, known by the nickname Rayvin, the sky blue hair.

They helped both of them, running to get inside the gate.

With his dexterity, Satoruu stabbed the minotaur from behind, causing the minotaur to be injured even if not how big.

"We'll help you!" sergeant Satoruu.

Yuka, Shelina, and Viona also helped them. Right from behind Satoruu, Viona awakened her earth magic and pushed the minotaur down.

Not to be outdone, Yuka and Shelina used combined magic, fire sword magic. With the heat of the blazing fire in the sword steel, the slash that cut off the minotaur's hand was successfully carried out by Yuka.

The slash was continued by Rayvin, with his sword slashing and cutting off the minotaur's left leg, rendering the minotaur immobile.

"Let me end!" attack Ryan.

With his sword, he prepared to attack the minotaur. Then in a row, Ryan managed to slash the minotaur's body into two, separating the minotaur's heart into two as well.

Then after defeating the minotaur, Ryan thanked those who had helped him beat the minotaur more easily. Continue with introductions.

The arctic blue-haired man, Aska Ryan, the Royal Knight with the title "Intermediary of the Royal Family" is very trusted by everyone. And the sky-blue haired Geoffrey Vinnii who calls Rayvin, the Elite Knight who is friendly to everyone. They are known as "Duo Blue Knights" because they are identical to their similar hair, which is arctic blue and sky blue. Viona was able to recognize them as they were the most active knights in the kingdom.

"Hmm? By the way, where is Saishira?" Viona turned her head left and right looking for Saishira's whereabouts.

In the dimly lit hallway, a figure of a man emerged from the shadows, his long black robe swaying behind him. The man walked over to a short-haired woman.

The woman stood and leaned against the wall of the passage, half covered by a pole near the wall, making the man unable to see it more clearly. Darkness enveloped them, and cold air seeped through their bones.

The man asked, "Why are you here? You could've been caught."

The man's voice was no stranger to hearing, his voice heavy and hoarse.

The man took off his hood, revealing his chiseled face and his sharp scarlet-red eyes. It was Saishira, a figure known as the mysterious savior.

"This place is my home, okay?" The woman played with her sharp nails. "The demon island barrier has been around since I wasn't born yet, so inevitably I have to stay here even though I'm a demon."

Every sound they let out, invited an aura of darkness that would make anyone goosebumps.

Then the woman came forward and appeared to her. But in vain, so dark the hallway makes his face still invisible. All Saishira could only see was the short, violet-old hair of the woman.

"But take it easy, I won't get caught. I've got permission from them." The woman stroked her short hair with her right hand.

While stroking her hair, the woman's right palm was seen revealing a demonic symbol that was scrawled and slightly shone in the darkness of the passageway. Saishira who had known about it only looked at the woman with her cold face.

...****************...

At a tavern, Satoruu and the others, including Ryan and Rayvin, were chatting.

"So what you're saying is that Saishira is the mysterious savior, huh?" Rayvin wiped his sword with a tissue.

"Yes that's how." Satoruu drank water right in front of his desk. "By the way, how do you know Lina, Ryan?"

That way, Ryan told me about his meeting with Shelina.

About less than 1 year old, Ryan was touring the city as usual to help the community. But as he passed through a small, dark alley near the city park, he saw Shelina.

Silent and head facing down, Shelina sat in the hallway hugging her knees. Her hair looks disheveled and dull. His eyes looked at nothing even though he was facing down.

That's where Ryan found her. She gives Shelina a loaf of bread, hoping she gets a more decent life.

However, Ryan can't take Shelina, nor can Rayvin. This was because they were knights, it would be dangerous for Shelina if they took care of her.

They were knights who had a guild called "Ryindiviall", with their leader being Ryan. The guild knights had a home for their own guild, which was where sharp weapons were located.

Not only that, a knight is required to train with their weapons and guard the citizens from monster attacks, which is where this will be dangerous for a little girl.

Before long, Saishira came to the tavern, meeting the others. Satoruu asks why he did not help them, but Saishira evades the reality and answers because of other matters that he has to solve.

Given that Saishira was busy, even when discussing it he still had time to write, Satoruu only agreed to the answer.

In the evening, Satoruu finds solace on his balcony, sinking into a chair as he soaks in a dazzling night. Despite the cold bite, he greeted her like an old friend.

The darkness of the night seemed to succumb to the luminous full moon, radiating its gentle light into the royal towns and villages, creating a mesmerizing tapestry.

Yuka's footsteps approached, breaking the silence.

"Can't sleep, Satoruu?" he asked, joining him on the balcony.

"Not yet. My eyes are still not sleepy," replied Satoruu, his gaze fixed on the charming moon.

Yuka sat in a nearby chair and smiled, her eyes reflecting the brilliance of the moon. "That's amazing, isn't it?"

The allure of the full moon has a special place in Satoruu's heart. It stood as a symbol of the timeless night, emitting a resplendent light complemented by the stars, enhancing the nocturnal panorama with their heavenly dances.

As Satoruu's gaze was fixated on the full moon, subtle uneasiness crawled over him, the feeling that something was amiss.

His eyes widened as he saw a strange deep red dot damaging the lunar surface. With each passing moment, the dot grew bigger, its red tendrils spreading like dangerous vines, eating the glowing orb until it turned into the dreaded blood moon.

Shivering on Satoruu's spine as the ominous spectacle unfolded before him. Unable to understand the severity of the situation, he got up from his chair and stepped out, his heart pounding in his chest. Yuka, feeling her urgency, followed her up close.

Stepping into the courtyard, their eyes were fixed on Shelina, who stood trembling, her face scratched in fear. Without hesitation, he rushed into Satoruu's embrace, seeking comfort and protection.

Satoruu's arm enveloped Shelina, offering the comfort she could amidst the chaos that ensued. His gaze remained fixed on the blood moon, his voice tinged with fear and acceptance.

"It's started, huh?"
