...Chapter 16: Sneaking in the Dark to Reveal...
...[.Sneaking in the Dark to Uncover]...
...•...
While walking back to the Voidical city, looking for a path that would bring them back to the kingdom, the voices of the two men involved in the conversation reached their ears.
Confusion arose when they wondered what the two men were doing in this abandoned city. The question lingers in their minds, urging them to investigate the whereabouts of this unexpected stranger.
Shrouded in darkness within the underground cavern, their bodies fused seamlessly with obscurity, making them almost invisible to ordinary observers.
As the two figures enter a mansion, Satoruu and his friends quietly follow behind, driven by a desire to uncover the purpose of their secret meeting.
The living room of the mansion showed a crowd of people dressed in bright purple robes, intensifying the intrigue.
Torches lit up the mansion, revealing a familiar figure standing conspicuously amidst the many people. It was Kaminou, standing near the man who used the knight's armor.
"This time, our plan will work. I'm sure they won't suspect. Even if they know us, we can get in their way." Kaminou smiled planning something.
Wanting to catch a glimpse of the enigmatic Kaminou, Satoruu was looking for a favorable spot within the mansion. However, just as he was preparing to move from behind the ornate chair, his foot accidentally landed on a fragile piece of wood, producing a cracking sound that echoed throughout the room.
The voice did not go unnoticed by the purple-robed people, drawing their attention to the intruders.
Saishira quickly communicates through sign language, signalling for everyone to remain silent. His hands pointed downwards, signaling they should remain in their current location.
Then, he turned his hand, pointed to himself and pointed towards the mansion door, implying that he would serve as a diversion. Everyone nodded in agreement silently, understanding their role.
Decorated in her black robe, Saishira appeared from behind the chair, her face hidden from view. With unanimous determination, he ventured out of the mansion, becoming a focal point that caught the attention of the purple-robed pursuers.
Like a game of chases, Saishira skillfully maneuvers, utilizing her agility to captivate their focus while minimizing whatever sound she makes. Utilizing the diversion created by Saishira, the others secretly infiltrated the place.
Shortly after, they managed to escape, regrouping at the entrance of the cave.
Meanwhile, Saishira, who is still being chased by tireless pursuers, uses all her strength to avoid capture. Making use of the crucial moment in the narrow alley, he suddenly turned left.
But as they continued to chase Saishira to the left, the pursuers seemed confused by her departure, disappearing after leaving. Unbeknownst to them, Saishira is on top of the small alley. He had used his dark magic to climb the alley wall, giving him an untraceable escape from their clutches.
Finally reuniting with the group at the entrance of the cave, Saishira joined them expressionlessly, as if nothing extraordinary had happened. However, the remaining tension hung in the air.
"That's almost. We have to hurry and get back to the kingdom before they find us" Ryan suggested, his voice tinged with urgency.
Under the cover of the night, a fast shadow gracefully crossed the roof, its movement almost invisible. Finally, it was stopped, the purpose was the queen's private room.
Revealing herself as Saishira, the enigmatic Knight of Darkness known for his incredible speed and nighttime activities. He stood still behind the queen, his presence being detected by her incredible intuition.
Although the balcony door remained closed, Saishira positioned herself outside on the balcony, pulling a small object from her pocket. "Queen, we have a lot of information. I have recorded it in this concise note."
Staying on the balcony, Saishira goes on to divulge the intelligence she obtained during her investigation of the monster attacks that hit the kingdom. Starting with the Voidical and ghoul cities, he recounts the existence of 14 formidable Lords of the Netherworld, ultimately focusing on mysterious figures wearing purple robes.
The men pose a significant threat, their intrigue potentially linked to the destiny of the Seven Rescuers, with Kaminou emerging as their main enemy.
With their conversation almost over, Saishira nodded respectfully, bowing her head before leaving. Although cold, cruel, and seemingly emotionless, he also possesses sensitivity, understanding the wisdom of his actions and choices as a human being.
Yuka sat in the shade of an olive tree, her hands clenched tightly in solemn prayer. His heart longs for a quick resolution to their current predicament, longing for the day when he, Satoruu, and Saishira can return to their own world. As he ended his silent prayer, Satoruu approached him, just finishing his stern sword practice.
"Satoruu, did you ever imagine we could complete our destiny?" Yuka's voice echoed with contemplation.
"Well, it depends on how strong and intelligent we are against the enemies" Satoruu replied.
Internally, Satoruu grapples with uncertainty, unsure whether their destiny can be changed easily. The unpredictable nature of the future weighed heavily on his mind. It was this uncertainty that fueled his unwavering commitment to honing his sword skills, even though he possessed incredible agility and strength.
"Hey, Satoruu. Do you remember the first time we met?" Yuka reminisces about that time, investigating their past together.
Satoruu replied, "Sure."
The memory brings Satoruu back to the day he met Yuka in the park, his sadness clearly visible as he sits sadly on the swing. The memory remained etched in his mind as he offered her a tissue, a small act of kindness that marked the beginning of their bond.
From then on, Yuka decides to prevent a repeat of the tragic incident that took her parents' lives at the hands of her uncle. The friends they met in this other world were extremely valuable to him, and he was determined not to lose them.
...****************...
The morning brings a thunderous shock as Satoruu learns of Yuka's inexplicable disappearance. Consumed by anxiety and panic, he frantically sets out to search for her across the city.
However, to his dismay, his presence seemed to have vanished entirely, leaving no trace. The only way left is to seek help from Claire.
Claire, as a demon, has the ability to detect the flow of Mana energy coming from other creatures. However, when Satoruu reached Claire's residence, her sharp senses failed to detect any traces of Mana Yuka. It was as if Yuka had been moved to a location beyond Claire's perception range, despite her ability to sense Mana within a range of up to 200 meters.
Undeterred, Satoruu refused to give up. He investigates her memory, retracing the path they have traveled together. Suddenly, a consciousness struck him—voidical city, the place where Kaminou and the purple-robed figures conspired.
Given Yuka's previous abduction at the hands of a hired kidnapper hired by Kaminou, Satoruu speculates that he may have arranged Yuka's abduction once again. Driven by unwavering determination, Satoruu quickly headed to the Voidical city, accompanied by Shelina.
Finally, they arrived at the mansion in the Voidical city, where the purple-robed people were plotting their evil plans. However, their arrival did not go unnoticed, and before they could fully understand their surroundings, they found themselves surrounded by evil figures.
In order to protect Shelina from danger, Satoruu instinctively summoned a shield of darkness, using her ability to protect both of them from imminent threats.
"My dear sister, leave this to me," said Satoruu, his eyes blazing with unwavering determination. "A little girl like you shouldn't bear the brunt of bloodshed."
As he unsheathed his sword, a purplish black aura enveloped his blade, a manifestation of his dark magic. His heterochromic eyes, one blue and one red, shone with a strong light, reflecting the power within.
Meanwhile, Claire's mind churned with anxiety. Yuka, a pure and innocent girl, has no fault whatsoever for the challenges they face on their journey in this world.
If indeed Kaminou is behind Yuka's second abduction, Claire wonders why and for what purpose. It was a question that gnawed at him, because no one did anything aimlessly.
Saishira, with her usual cold face fixed on Claire, walked out of her residence in a pensive manner.
Immersed in his mind, he stood before the entrance and made use of the shadow form of his darkness magic, disappearing into the narrow alley, leaving behind an aura of mystery.
