...Chapter 23: "Seven Saviors from Their Fate"...
...["Seven Saviors from Their Fate"]...
...•...
Behind the veil of darkness, Saishira sat pensively at a silent bus stop. Roads that are flooded with rain witness passing vehicles.
Suddenly, a woman appears before Saishira, making her speechless and wondering about the reason for her sudden presence.
To his surprise, he recognized the woman—nothing else was his mother.
His outstretched hand seemed to signal for Saishira to get up from her seat at the bus stop.
"Mother!!"
Saishira gasped awake, her breathing was tight, and her heart was pounding.
Clutching his suddenly dizzy head, he struggled to dispel the lingering emotions from the dream.
"I miss her ..," Saishira muttered, her voice heavy with longing and sadness.
"Thank you who?" Claire's voice broke the silence, shocking Saishira as she appeared at her bedroom door.
Saishira let out a heavy sigh, ruffling her hair in frustration. "Of course my mother."
Claire's expression became grim, fully aware of Saishira's painful past. Although it has been three years since the death of his mother, he still wrestles with accepting the harsh reality.
Clutching her head tightly, tears welled up in Saishira's eyes, revealing her raw emotions. His trembling hands tried to resist the surging tears that threatened to come out.
Moved by her grief, Claire approaches her with a gentle touch of affection.
"I can't take away your pain, but I'm sure one day, you'll find comfort" Claire said, trying to comfort her.
"You're right. I shouldn't remember it all the time." Saishira admitted, her voice trembled with determination.
Out of the room, they stepped into the other room where Shelina, Viona, and Ryan were standing, their eyes fixed on the unconscious figure of Satoruu. The battle he had fought had taken its toll, and he succumbed to exhaustion. Yuka remained by his side, her expression reflecting deep concern.
Clearly worried about their well-being, Saishira asked, "Yuka, how are you and Satoruu?"
Yuka's voice trembled as she replied, "I've recovered quite a bit, but I'm not sure of Satoruu's condition."
"Maybe it's better for the two of you to lie down instead of sitting down. You need adequate rest, or your condition will deteriorate," Saishira suggested in a very careful tone of voice, showing her deep concern for their well-being.
Claire gestured for Saishira to step out of the room for a moment, and she complied, curious about what she wanted to discuss.
In a soft tone, Claire asked a probing question, sensing there was more of Saishira's attention than it seemed. "Why do you care so much about them? Your usual attitude is a little cold."
Saishira took a moment before replying, "You know how unfortunately Yuka is towards Satoruu, right? Even though they're bloodless and just friends, I think they're more than that. You yourself also said the moment before I came, Satoruu used his maximum magic power when Yuka fainted from Kaminou's actions."
"The evidence suggests they have a bond that we may not even know about despite the fact that they are not family. I'll bet if Satoruu loses Yuka, he will exert all his abilities to get Yuka back, and vice versa, no matter what the cost." Saishira explained, her words were thought through carefully, relying on her logical thinking.
"Because of that, I won't let any of them die. If such a thing were to happen, perhaps they would not be able to be cured so quickly, just like this me." Saishira admits, revealing the empathy and emotional depth hidden behind her usual aloof appearance.
As Saishira's words permeate, Claire's thoughts drift back to her painful past. He has lost his human friend, Daniel, to the actions of his family. The search for revenge had driven him to betray his own demon race, and he understood the weight of the loss and the price of revenge.
"You're right." Claire admitted, her voice was tinged with regret.
Claire gripped her right wrist with her left hand, a symbol of the burden she was carrying.
Just then, Satoruu moved and opened his eyes. Slowly, he began to regain his strength and attempted to sit down after a long period of fainting.
Yuka's relief was evident as she immediately hugged Satoruu, tears of happiness flowing down her cheeks.
"Thank God!" he cried, his heart filled with happiness at his resurrection.
Satoruu was surprised by the intensity of Yuka's embrace, but he couldn't help but return the hug, understanding the depth of his feelings towards her.
"Please don't leave me, Satoruu." Yuka's tears wet her cheeks.
In Yuka's heart, she knew she couldn't bear to lose Satoruu. His love for the man goes beyond mere friendship, and he sees him as more than just a friend, his feelings bordering on the feelings of a girlfriend.
Watching Satoruu wake up and the emotional embrace that followed him, everyone in the room heaved a sigh of relief. The bond between Yuka and Satoruu proves to be a powerful force, bringing hope to others, even amid the challenges they face.
Gathering in the discussion room, they turned their attention to the mysterious gemstone that Saishira had brought, DemDark Artifact. His unique property allowed him to manipulate Demonical Darkness magic, even absorbing the power of others.
Their gazes were fixed on the purplish black artifact, its darkness clear and attractive.
Claire harnesses her demon abilities to sense energy, and her discovery adds a layer of artifact complexity. "This gem contains Afterlife energy, the same energy required to use magic similar to Demonical Darkness and Angelical Light. It's highly unlikely that Kaminou would get this anywhere."
Saishira admits Claire's insight. "I agree. We need to do more research on this artifact."
"Maybe we can find a way to harness its power to prevent it from controlling Satoruu's body," he suggested before carefully storing the artifact back in his sling bag.
As the discussion turns to ancient necromancy magic, Ryan raises the topic, sparking a thoughtful response from Satoruu. "I don't think we need to learn it. Even if we find something, Yuka and I still have to make sacrifices."
The burden of the upcoming ritual depends heavily on their minds, reminding them of the sacrifices they may have to make.
Meanwhile, Saishira sees Alarick standing on the balcony, looking dreamy as he gazes at the city below. Approaching him, Saishira begins a conversation, acknowledging Alarick's previous role as king of Harmodia.
"Sense of nostalgia?" Saishira asked, knowing the burden that Alarick was carrying.
Alarick's voice contained the wisdom of age as he replied, "Not completely. I'm just worried. If history repeats itself, this kingdom could be in danger once again."
Understanding the looming threat, Saishira looked at the city with a cold expression, well aware of the stakes.
"But once Kaminou and Daevin are defeated, all of you should be able to return to your home world" Alarick said, trying to offer hope.
Saishira nodded in agreement, reaffirming what they knew was right. The mastermind behind the destructive wave was Daevin, with Kaminou lurking behind him.
With both of them defeated, it will not change the fact that Satoruu, Yuka, and Saishira have fulfilled their destiny and potentially returned to their own worlds.
As they prepare to depart, Saishira requests that Alarick keep the kingdom even after his reign is over. Saishira knew of Alarick's wisdom and leadership, and Saishira felt confident entrusting the kingdom to him.
"If we return, please take care of this kingdom even if you are no longer the king" Saishira pleaded with Alarick.
As they exit the palace, a portal opens in front of them, signifying that their mission in this world has ended, and they must return to their own world.
Saishira approaches the portal, determined to return as he still has unfinished business in their world. He has achieved his goal of becoming one of the Seven Saviors, but he has responsibilities and a life waiting for him at home.
However, the situation was not that easy for Satoruu. Clutching his head, he was split between the two worlds.
"No .., ak–I can't …." Her voice shakes with grief, torn between the desire to return and the responsibility she feels for Shelina, the young girl who lost her parents and who was adopted by her and Yuka.
The conflicting emotions weighed heavily on Satoruu's heart, making the decision to leave this world all the more challenging. The bond they formed with Shelina had created a deep sense of attachment and responsibility, making it difficult for Satoruu to turn away from her.
As Shelina hugged Satoruu and Yuka, her gestures of affection showed understanding and maturity beyond her years. She admits that Saishira is right—Satoruu and Yuka have a life in their own world, and she will live with Claire and the others.
Despite her grief, Shelina was brave, not wanting Satoruu and Yuka to feel overwhelmed by her emotions. With tears in her eyes, she gave her final smile, appreciating the memories they had created together.
Satoruu hugs her tightly for the last time, followed by Yuka, both expressing love and gratitude for the time they have spent together.
"So this is his farewell. I thought we could go on together, but we didn't" Claire said, a little disappointed.
Meanwhile, as Claire approached Saishira, she expressed her disappointment that they could not stay together. A thin smile graced her face, but her heart secretly wanted to keep Saishira by her side.
Unexpectedly, Saishira pulled him into a tight embrace. Her words were sincere, conveying her reluctance to part with Claire. Tears fell from his eyes, revealing the depth of his emotions.
"Sorry, Claire. I don't want to say goodbye either. But I have to go back to my world" he said, his voice trembling with heartfelt sadness.
As the group hugs for the last time, they prepare to enter the portal and return to their respective worlds. With a bitterly stifled feeling, they stepped through the portal, each filled with the sadness of the separation.
...****************...
Upon her return, Saishira finds herself falling for granted into the kitchen of her own home. The portal had closed behind him, leaving him in the exact spot where he had first entered another world.
While enduring her back pain, Saishira took a moment to process her surroundings. He looked around at his neat and familiar kitchen, confirming that he had indeed returned to his original world.
Checking the time on his phone, he noticed that it was night. The Internet and the GPS on his phone are working as usual, increasingly asserting that he has returned to the reality he knows.
Mixed feelings filled his heart, relief from returning home and sadness for leaving the world and friends who had been attached to it. As Saishira contemplates the events of her extraordinary journey, she knows that the memories and experiences she has gained will remain with her forever, shaping her present self.
"Lia? Is that you?" saishira asked, needing to make sure that it was indeed Evyllia.
Without hesitation, Evyllia turned the chair around, revealing her familiar face. The shock in his expression quickly turned into excitement as he recognized Saishira standing in front of him.
"Mr Saishira! Is that really you, sir?" Evyllia's voice, now very human-like, contained a mixture of happiness and distrust.
Saishira's relief was evident as she replied, "Yes, it's me, Saishira, your creator."
Overwhelmed with emotion, Evyllia immediately hugged Saishira, hugging her tightly.
"Finally, you're back, Mr. Saishira. I miss you so much. You disappeared for over a year and left me alone" said Evyllia, her voice conveying a combination of happiness, surprise, and sadness.
Saishira's shock was evident as she looked at the emotional expression on Evyllia's face.
"How did you …?" he starts asking questions, but Evyllia quickly explains that she has been using the Emotional System without her knowledge.
Despite the unexpected use of the system, Saishira inevitably feels touched by Evyllia's actions. Lowering her head, Evyllia let go of her embrace, apologizing for her actions.
Saishira, however, responded with a smile, stroking Evyllia's head gently.
"It's okay, Lia. You're doing well" he said.
He realized that as he went to another world, Evyllia had made progress and completed the Emotional System he had designed.
Convincingly, he told Evyllia to rest and she returned to take care of the house. Although Evyllia did not need a human-like rest, Saishira's concern for her was obvious. He felt quite rested during his time in the other world, and now it was his turn to take care of Evyllia and her home.
As the night wore on, the automatic door of Saishira's room suddenly opened, revealing a face that made her very surprised.
"Mother?" Saishira's voice trembled as she stood there, unable to believe what she saw.
As he approached and reached out to touch her, he realized that it was indeed his mother. Her presence, her warmth, everything felt like her real mother.
"Hi, Saishira! Well, you're an adult, huh?" His mother greeted him with a happy smile.
Her mother's voice confirmed her identity, and tears welled up in Saishira's eyes. He hugged her tightly, unable to hold back his emotions as he watched his mother stand before him.
Through his tears, he asked why he was here, in a state of disbelief.
"Congratulations, my dear, for successfully completing your destiny as one of the Seven Saviors. In the afterlife, an angel gave you a gift, and that gift was myself!" His mother explained in a cheerful tone.
Saishira hugged her mother closer, her tears flowing profusely, grateful for this magical reunion. He could not believe that he had been given the chance to see his mother once again.
Her mother hugged her back, her loving embrace confirmed that she was really here.
"Aww, you must have missed me so much" she said, her voice filled with love and understanding.
In that magical moment, Saishira's heart was filled with joy and gratitude for the gift of being able to hug her mother again. Their reunion is a testament to the power of destiny and the eternal love between a mother and her child, a moment Saishira will cherish for the rest of her life.
Meanwhile, after landing back in Satoruu's room, Satoruu and Yuka get up, realizing that they are indeed returning to their own world.
"Now …. Well, we're really back," said Satoruu, feeling the impact of their return.
Yuka hurriedly walked to the balcony to ascertain their location. The futuristic cityscape landscape, illuminated by neon lights in the dark night sky, convinced him.
However, her relief was tinged with sadness, knowing they had left Shelina. Satoruu comfortably patted Yuka's shoulder.
"I believe we'll see her again someday" she convinces Yuka, hoping to ease her anxiety.
Feeling agitated, Yuka hurriedly left Satoruu's house, with her following from behind. He ran with determination, his goal was clear in his mind, Satoruu followed him from behind.
They finally reached his house. There, they see a couple who look very familiar—Yuka's parents.
Filled with emotion, Yuka's heart thumped as she stood in front of her parents, who she thought were gone forever. Tears welled up in his eyes as he realized that the reunion they had been craving had come true.
Yuka's heart was filled with excitement as she rushed towards her parents, hugging them tightly. The hug felt real, and he could not believe his parents were standing there in front of him.
Satoruu could not hide his shock and confusion.
"Wait, how are they …? Aren't your parents reportedly killed by your own uncle, Yuka?" satoruu asked, trying to understand the situation.
Yuka's father revealed, "Yes, it is true that Charles caused our deaths. But Yuka fulfilled her destiny as one of the Seven Saviors, and as her reward, we have been revived. In short, the fulfillment of his destiny managed to give us a second chance."
Witnessing the heartwarming reunion, Satoruu inevitably felt a mix of emotions. While he is truly happy for Yuka, a thought comes to his mind.If Yuka receives a gift to fulfill her destiny, then she must also receive something similar for her part in their journey together.
As Satoruu was deep in thought, his phone suddenly rang, displaying his mother's name on the screen.
"Satoruu, we'll be home soon. Are you guarding the house?" ask mother.
Relieved to hear his mother's voice, Satoruu replied, "Yes, Mom. The house is safe, though it may be a little dirty."
His mother chuckled, understanding the forgetfulness of her son. "It's okay, I'll clean it up when I get home."
With those words, Satoruu's conversation with his mother ended, making him feel calm and comforted by his familiar voice.
As the moment had passed, Yuka remembered something important and turned to her parents. "Oh yeah! Dad, Mom, I know I'm not old enough and I still don't want to get married. But can I stay with Satoruu?"
To their surprise and relief, Yuka's parents agreed to her request. After everything they've been through together, it will be difficult for Yuka and Satoruu to part ways, given the strong bond and shared experiences.
After hearing about Yuka's adventures in another world from angels in the afterlife, her parents understand her feelings for Satoruu and trust her judgment.
With the consent of her parents, Yuka will now live with Satoruu, continuing their journey side by side. The two grow inseparable during their incredible adventure, and now, back in their world, they can continue to support and lean on each other.
Meanwhile, as Saishira sits with her diary, she meticulously documents the extraordinary experiences that she, Satoruu, and Yuka experienced.
"Three Saviors from Another World. They are told as three people who came from this world to save another world. I, Satoruu, and Yuka are the Saviors."
"Many things we learned there. From the Death Wave of Blood Moon, to the history of that world."
"It is even proven that the power of the other world there can exceed this world. But the world is evolving with its technology, which means it could have technological powers equivalent to those of otherworldly magic."
"There are some things we don't know yet."
"It was the concept of the Fourteen Lords of the Afterlife that were each divided into Seven Lords of Heaven and Seven Lords of Hell."
"As for Afterlife energy, the energy that is likely to be the energy that they use to cast their magic."
"But one thing caught my attention."
"DemDark Artifact's. The thing is, this artifact will definitely not be found in just any place. Moreover, it had the same energy, the Afterlife energy, which most likely DemDark Artifact had something to do with the 14 Lords of the Afterlife."
"These mysteries are still unsolved. Depends on whether they're going down into the world or not."
"So from that, I named it …."
"… Mystery of Other World Waves."
