...Chapter 1: Two People Are Thrown to Another World?!...
...[.Two Persons Thrown into Another World?!]...
...•...
"Relight …."
For no apparent reason, a man finds himself immersed in a deep, silent void of darkness. Although he was sure his eyes were open, the vagueness around him prevented him from discerning anything before him.
However, in this enigmatic world, a strange entity materializes a round form that defies conventional substance. The man struggles to find the right name for it, as his intangible nature makes touch go to waste.
In just a few moments, the mysterious object began to expand, revealing intricate carvings that resembled the faces of mythical creatures he had seen in many mythologies.
The man's belief that he saw the dragon's face came from the appearance of two red rays that appeared as if they were the creature's eyes.
"I'm waiting for you, Dreyl Satoruu."
Resonant sounds echoed in the air, instantly provoking goosebumps all over the man's flesh. Astonishingly, even the dragon seemed to have some knowledge of the man's name—Dreyl Satoruu.
Suddenly …
"WHA!!!"
Satoruu gasps awake, panting, his mind still entangled in the grip of a haunting nightmare. The ringing of his piercing cell phone disturbed the miserable remnants of his sight, calling him from the nightstand by his bedside.
Rising from his sleep, he reached out and picked up his mobile device, his screen displaying the name "Alexander". This is a friend he met just 3 months ago, their initial connection forged through online gaming, leading to his next meeting in person.
"Yoo! Toruu!"
Conversations begin with pleasantries, similar to the introductory phase of written discourse, before delving into more substantial topics.
"By the way, I'm still confused as to why your parents decided to go abroad," he said, his tone mixed with astonishment. "Is it because of your sword skills?"
Naturally, Satoruu's parents did not start their international journey due to his skill at using the sword. They have a series of responsibilities waiting for them in that distant land. Their return, tentatively set about a year later, depends on a variety of factors. They trust Satoruu's independence, allowing them to go abroad without worrying about it.
Speaking of swords, Alexander alluded to Satoruu's proficiency in sword martial arts, a skill given to him by his uncle. He was convinced that his parents' decision to go abroad had no direct correlation with his swordsmanship.
Nevertheless, his uncle had advised him that if any situation involving swordplay appeared, he should be prepared to use it, despite its antiquity and lack of contemporary use. However, until now, no such circumstances had occurred, leaving him unaware of the true meaning behind his uncle's advice.
"Well, do you know the latest viral rumors?" ask Alexander. "Say, there's a rumor going around about two brave thugs who keep blackmailing their victims."
He has found mention of these brave thugs on social media. These men were renowned for their bravery, using weapons such as knives and firearms to extort money from their targets, exploiting threats of violence to enforce the victims' obedience to them.
The elusive nature of the two thugs has posed challenges for law enforcement, making their arrest a difficult task. Constant movement and evasive tactics kept them hidden from the police's clutches.
"I've heard it too, but why don't the victims fight back?" satoruu asked, looking for a solution to that terrible situation.
"They don't dare" Alexander replied grimly. "Those thugs have knives and guns. Anyone who dares to fight can be shot. They are dangerous people."
Satoruu glanced at the calendar while remaining engaged in conversation with Alexander.
"By the way, what date is it today? It's Sunday, right?" he asked, his eyes scanning the calendar in front of him.
As he examined the date, June 21, 2178, it became clear that the world had expanded significantly, witnessing remarkable progress and development.
"If only the criminal hunter had not disappeared" Alexander lamented.
Exactly, as Alexander said, there was once a man known as a mysterious criminal hunter. Dressed in a black robe and adorned with a skull mask, he became famous for his relentless pursuit and the arrest of many wrongdoers around two years earlier.
Satoruu remains unaware of the true motivation behind the hunter's actions, but it is clear that this individual has his own personal reasons for making such an effort. However, after his initial exploits, the mysterious hunter disappeared without a trace. Even the authorities, who had been in contact with him, found themselves unable to establish any communication.
Exasperated by the ongoing discussion, Satoruu replied in a slightly irritated tone, "I don't care if it has any effect on my life, but hang up if you don't have anything important to add. I already know all those details."
With the completion of the conversation, Satoruu disconnects the call and continues his usual routine. Still on summer vacation, he finds himself freed from his schoolwork.
After completing some chores around the house, he decided to take a leisurely walk, looking for nothing more than a breath of fresh air. As he roamed the familiar surroundings, the cityscape unfolded before his eyes, brightly lit with neon lights that adorned every prominent building.
Satoruu lives in a town called Exariniel, located in the country of Nexaris, a small town located quite close to its capital, Astrixia. Located in the western regions of the world, Nexaris boasts a population characterized by a blend of Western and Eastern influences.
Amid discussions about cultural influences, Sungaslavya emerged as the home country of Satoruu's mother. It itself embodies the fusion of two distinct cultures, the unification of the West and the East. His mother, Rui Michino, is from Sungaslavya, while his father, Aaron William, is from the country.
In this advanced world, a harmonious balance occurs between human intelligence and the preservation of nature. The lush greenery thrives, with trees and plants thriving in their natural splendor. The inhabitants of this world have an understanding of the consequences that would arise in the absence of nature, and thus they diligently nurture and cherish the environment around them.
Not long after, a familiar female voice rang out in Satoruu's ears, coming from a narrow alley. It was not a cry for help, but a voice that caught his attention. Out of curiosity, he ventured into the usually quiet alley where the sound came from.
Upon entering the alley, his eyes were fixed on Yuka Olivia, his classmate, stuck in a precarious situation, being greeted by two thugs. He realized that these people might be the same people who were the subject of discussion, including Alexander.
Yuka's safety concerns prompted Satoruu to act immediately, determined to save her from the clutches of these assailants.
With astonishing agility, he quickly closed the distance between them, deftly stripping the second thug from his knife. Utilizing his weapon, he attacked the first thug, causing him to lose the grip of his firearm.
"Run, Yuka!" satoruu's orders, urging him to escape.
Finally, Yuka escaped from the small alley while tightly gripping her bag.
Left alone with the two thugs, Satoruu confronts them with a defiant, thin smile on his lips. Despite the obstacles he faced, he welcomed the challenge.
As the first thug lunged forward, brandishing a knife from his pocket, Satoruu quickly fended off the attack, skillfully defending himself.
Each enemy had their own weapons, but Satoruu cleverly concluded that the second thug, looking at the blade he had, would most likely use the firearms he had.
After anticipating the movements of the second thug, Satoruu adeptly dodged the bullets fired towards him, leaving his assailant dumbfounded by his nimble reflexes.
Without wasting any time, Satoruu quickly sent a powerful kick into the thug's stomach, forcing a separation between him and the firearms. A cynical smile graced Satoruu's face, showing his confidence.
However, in his momentary caution, Satoruu failed to anticipate an attack from behind by the first thug. As a result, his left palm was injured. Had he been more vigilant, he might have managed to foil the attack.
However, the trials continue to increase. Taking advantage of the opportunity, the second thug quickly got up and forcefully dropped Satoruu, causing him to fall to the ground. It was in this vulnerable position that Satoruu sustained further injuries. The first thug viciously stabbed his shoulder.
Although Satoruu managed to dodge the blow in part, it was not fast enough to avoid minor injuries.
Overwhelmed by the dire circumstances, Satoruu made use of his honed technique. As the first thug launched another attack, Satoruu appeared to be running, seemingly unable to dodge the blow.
However, in reality, his movements were faster than the rabbit's jump. Quickly, relentlessly, he launched an attack right at the back of the first thug.
Shortly after, the sound of approaching police sirens echoed through the air. Satoruu took advantage of the opportunity created by their arrival, quickly turning things around.
With a well-placed kick, he targets the virility of the first thug, causing him to collapse to the ground, clutching his injured manhood in pain.
"I thought it was tough, but it was just amateurs. They only relied on weapons to intimidate, having no martial talent. Even their use of firearms was severely lacking," Satoruu muttered, his voice mixed with a mixture of disappointment and humiliation.
The arrival of the police prevented the second thug from launching a counterattack, as they swiftly surrounded the scene from both directions.
"Yo, police!" Satoruu greeted them, a tone of sarcasm sounded. "You came just in time."
"At least, right before they finish me off," he chanted, admitting that the police response was a little too late.
Satoruu extended his bloodied hand towards the policemen, indicating that he had been injured in a meeting with the two thugs. Realizing the severity of the situation, at least four policemen moved in to surround the thugs.
It seemed obvious that these thugs, despite using firearms, did not have proper martial arts skills, making them a formidable threat only to unarmed individuals.
After arresting and handcuffing the thugs, one of the policemen thanked Satoruu for stalling their precious time. They also apologized for the unfortunate incident and offered medical help, which Satoruu politely declined, as the injuries were only minor injuries. Nevertheless, he expressed his respect for the police and their efforts to maintain security within the city.
After the two thugs had been taken away by the police, Satoruu was still settling down in this small hallway, thinking about who called the policemen.
"Satoruu?" Yuka approached him.
Sure enough, he is Yuka Olivia, one of his classmates. The 16-year-old girl can be recognized by the birthmark under her right eye.
He looks very happy when Satoruu saves him from the two thugs.
"Yuka, huh?"
"Yes," he said. "By the way, your hand …."
Satoruu looked back at the wound on the left palm. He only felt a small amount of pain even though the wound was severe enough to be seen. This even invites a sense of confusion in Satoruu, the possibility that the immune system is strong.
"Well, no need to worry." Satoruu reassured him, his tone light. "In addition, it's not as bad as you think."
Yuka's eyes softened, a mixture of relief and gratitude in her expression.
"But yeah, thank you. If you don't call the police, things could be much worse" Satoruu continued.
Satoruu's smile widens, knowing that Yuka is the only person present other than him who can call. As Yuka's face flushed in embarrassment, it became clear that it was she who had informed the authorities.
The relationship between them grew stronger at that moment, forged by their shared experience and the unspoken understanding between them.
"Po– Anyway, ka–you should be treated," he snapped with a stutter, "right now!"
Despite stuttering and sudden, Yuka insists that Satoruu needs medical attention. Despite Satoruu's repeated refusal, Yuka keeps a close eye on his well-being, suggesting that he seek medical help. Maybe that's his way of navigating the awkwardness of the situation. Reluctantly, Satoruu finally relented and let Yuka take care of her wound.
They hurriedly went to the nearest pharmacy, and Satoruu inevitably noticed how Yuka's hands trembled slightly as she bought the bandage. It was clear that he still felt a mix of embarrassment and nervousness around him, even though they were classmates.

As Yuka skillfully took care of her injuries, Satoruu could not help but be captivated by her bright smile. Her nervousness had previously disappeared, and her hand was now moving with gentle precision.
At that time, Satoruu could not deny the beauty that adorned Yuka's face. His face seemed to glow with a refined quality, reminiscent of an angel descending from heaven.
Her long, silky black hair was loosely severed, without any hair-band decoration, framing her dazzling presence. The glint in his pomegranate-red eyes only added to his allure as those eyes shone with concern and concern for his well-being.

With each passing moment, Satoruu finds himself increasingly appreciating Yuka's beauty, not only on the surface but also in the kindness and compassion she radiates.
Their interaction in the small pharmacy seemed to create an indescribable relationship, stirring up emotions in Satoruu's heart that he could not express with words.
As Yuka takes care of Satoruu's wounds, she confides in him, revealing that she is currently alone due to the tragic loss of her parents. Although Satoruu is already aware of this fact, his concern for Yuka grows stronger, forcing him to find a way to help her.
"I have an idea" he suggested, his voice full of empathy. "Why don't you come and stay at my place? You don't have to be alone, and I might be able to send one of my robots to guard your house."
Yuka's eyes widened with anticipation, her hand instinctively pressed against her hand as she faced Satoruu, eagerly waiting for her answer.
Suddenly, a startled cry came out from Satoruu's lips, echoing throughout the room.
"Yuka, let go of my hand!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with shock and a hint of pain.
"Ma–maf!" Yuka quickly pulled her hand from Satoruu's wound, expressing her regret for unintentionally making her even more sick.
The pressure Yuka put on her injured hand seemed to add to the pain, exceeding the discomfort caused by the bleeding wound. The pain felt as if there was a sensitive hand sandwiched between the closing doors.
However, in an unexpected turn of events, the pain in Satoruu's hand suddenly disappeared, leaving him perplexed.
"What just happened?" inner Satoruu wondered, feeling an unusual change in his sensation.
Given the loss of her parents, it is understandable that Yuka would not be able to stay at Satoruu's house for now. He wrestled with deep sadness and grief.
Day by day, as time passes, life goes on as usual. For others, this is the normal—rhythm of their daily lives.
However, Satoruu remains fixated on unraveling the riddle that consumed his mind. For 8 days in a row, he deepened his investigation, but each time, the results remained unchanged.
In the middle of the night, Satoruu brought a kitchen knife to his study desk. Slowly and methodically, he made small cuts on each finger. Every time, the usual pain appeared, reminiscent of his injuries. However, in just 100 milliseconds, the pain will mysteriously disappear, leaving a scar that does not heal like the pain.
What made the situation even more confusing was that every time Satoruu covered the scar with a bandage, the scar seemed to disappear in an instant. It was as if it was all undergoing rapid regeneration—a phenomenon he had only encountered in the myths he had read about in his remote underground library.
Instant regeneration, a concept synonymous with rapid and miraculous self-healing, is often associated with the realms of magic, mythology, and supernatural abilities. However, throughout Satoruu's existence in this world, there was no evidence or belief in such supernatural powers.
"No, events like this have never happened before" murmured Satoruu in disbelief, wrestling with the distrust that such a phenomenon can occur within the limits of reality he knows.
His limits of understanding are being tested, challenging his perception of what is possible and urging him to seek answers beyond the limits of conventional knowledge.
As dawn breaks, Satoruu finds himself once again face to face with Yuka. They had arranged to meet at the cafe, where he collected his belongings, showing his willingness to consider staying at Satoruu's house.
Taking a seat opposite him, Satoruu asked a question, his eyes filled with sincere curiosity. "So, have you made your decision?"
"Yes!" Yuka replied with a nod of determination. "I've thought about it, and I think it's the best option for me."
Little did Satoruu anticipate the strange turn of events to be revealed. Although the cafe looked clean, a pungent smell began to seep into the air, tickling their nostrils and enveloping their surroundings with an unsettling scent.
The aroma, completely unexpected and out of place, aroused a sense of confusion within Satoruu. How could such a strong and unpleasant smell emerge from a seemingly pure cafe? It was a mystery that immediately caught his attention.
"So I'm sud—"
"Wait a moment," Satoruu interrupted Yuka's sentence, her curiosity being overshadowed by the sudden attack of that disgusting smell.
He then asked about the smell.
"You got blood?" yuka asked, her voice filled with anxiety. "Or ... stink of a corpse?!"
Confirming his suspicions, something was wrong.
Without wasting any time, Satoruu wasted no time and quickly walked towards the source of the scent. Traces of a pungent smell lead them to a remote corner behind the cafe—a place that holds an atmosphere of silence and mystery.
And there, their worst fears materialized. Lying in front of them was the lifeless body of a strange monster, its form flowing with blood that stained its lifeless form. Flocks of flies had descended upon the dreadful sight, adding to the horror and curiosity about the monster's lying.
The shocking discovery made Yuka terror, her trembling figure and terrified cry attracting the attention and attention of the surrounding customers, causing a commotion in the cafe.
A feeling of security and normalcy is shattered in an instant, leaving them grappling with the unsettling reality that their world may be far more mysterious and dangerous than they ever imagined.
A puzzled expression was engraved on Satoruu's face as he stared at the lifeless chimera before him— lion-headed, goat-bodied, snake-tailed creature. The existence of such a mythical creature seemed inconceivable in their world.
"How can a chimera exist in this world?" Satoruu voiced his confusion, his mind swirling with questions demanding answers.
Unbeknownst to them, the people inside the cafe, who were still reeling from the shock and confusion of the scene, urged Satoruu and Yuka to distance themselves from the area. The disturbance caused by their presence had alarmed and unsettled everyone, prompting pleas to leave.
However, amidst the commotion, no one could understand the fundamental reason behind the unexplained demise of the chimera or the mysterious circumstances surrounding its existence.
In a fog of uncertainty and unanswered questions, Satoruu and Yuka reluctantly heed the collective pleas, leaving behind a puzzling sight. The truth behind the chimera's appearance and subsequent death remains shrouded in enigma, captivate their minds and urge them to embark on the quest for understanding—a journey that will uncover the secrets lurking beneath the surface of their seemingly ordinary world.
At midnight, Satoruu is still not asleep. On the balcony, he kept staring at the stars in the night sky that were scattered everywhere. The cold and cool atmosphere of the night gripped his body that had become accustomed to it all.
With his right hand touching his chin and elbow touching the balcony railing, he stood thinking of that strange dream that could still be imagined through his eyes.
Satoruu let out a long breath. "Even though I thought about it, I don't know what the dream means."
Then, Satoruu heard the sound of footsteps. When seen, the voice came from the Awakened Yuka. He now lives in Satoruu's house.
"Sorry, did I wake you up?" ask Satoruu.
"No, really," Yuka replied with a small, gentle voice. "I used to wake up in the middle of the night."
Yuka, who had just woken up, approached the balcony and placed her hand on the balcony railing.
"It's normal to wake up in the middle of the night isn't that a symptom?" Satoruu moves his left hand while facing Yuka.
"Come on," Yuka complained. "Look, I first felt this symptom when I was in 10th grade High School."
While in the 10th grade of High School, it coincided with the time of his parents' death.
"Tell me frankly, Yuka," Satoruu said in a serious tone. "It's about your dead parents, right?"
Satoruu looked at the city from the balcony, but there was the sound of splashing water coming from the direction of Yuka. As Satoruu looked at Yuka, he was seen clasping his hands tightly touching her chest.
His head was bowed and covered by his long hair. Even his hands seemed to tremble violently. The sound of water splashing was actually coming from Yuka who was trying to hold back her cries, but could not.
It was obvious that he could not accept the reality of his dead parents. The figure of the parents is a big influence for their children.
Satoruu approached Yuka while calling out to her.
Then, Satoruu hugged Yuka tightly until her hand touched Satoruu's chest. Without having to look at it, Satoruu could feel it, the current Yuka was shocked by his sudden embrace.
"You don't need to hide that," Satoruu said in a low tone. "Sometimes hiding something hurts more than saying it."
With her trembling hands, Yuka returned her embrace tightly as well.
Satoruu stood up and went back into the room. "There's something strange and more important than the death of your parents right now, Yuka."
"Have you ever felt physical pain, but all of a sudden the pain disappeared in an instant?" ask Satoruu to confirm it.
Yuka answered and nodded yes. Which means, it's all true, the weirdness is not a mere fantasy.
Then Satoruu opened the left hand bandage and showed it to Yuka.
"Wound healed?!" pekik Yuka was shocked at what she saw.
Exactly, Satoruu had already suspected the oddity while moving his hand. There was no pain or anything like that hurting his hand. Even the movement of his hands was no longer stiff.
Like an active survival instinct, Satoruu feels that there will be another strange event happening.
"Yuka, no matter what happens, don't panic." Satoruu picked up the sword displayed near the calendar. "I don't think this is a common phenomenon in this world."
Then Satoruu pulled the sword from its sheath, preparing for the calamity that could have occurred.
Without warning, Satoruu was thrown through the portal, rolled through another expanse of the world until it finally landed on the soft and cool grass.
Even before being able to catch his breath, Satoruu felt the weight pressing down on him. It was Yuka, who was also pulled through the portal and landed on it.
As the two of them tried to regain their positions, the portal closed with a loud roar, leaving them alone in this strange new world.
They were silent for a moment, thinking about what had really happened.
Then they found out.
"WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS THIS?!!" Satoruu shouted along with Yuka.
That way, their journey has begun!
