...Chapter 12: The Angelical Light...

...[.Angelic Light]...

In the depths of the dark abyss, Yuka plunged into the void, her body landing on the cushion of soft foliage within the bushes, for a moment stunned by the impact.

The abyss emitted an aura of darkness and humidity, its essence intertwined with its surroundings.

After a while passed, Yuka's eyes opened wide, a feeling of despair gripped her as she stepped forward, gripping her sword. His wrist was throbbing, bearing the weight of the many injuries he had sustained.

"Why were we cast into this unknown realm?" inwardly, his mind rotates as he questions the purpose behind the bewildering chain of events they have experienced in this alien world.

His contemplation dragged on, echoing in his mind. "I once imagined living with Satoruu, free from conflict after the death of my parents. But now, reality exposes us to the current conflicts that doubt our survival in this world."

"If we persist in the face of this life-threatening ordeal, one of us will surely .. will …."

As tears welled up in her eyes, dripping down her cheeks, Yuka halted her steps, descending into deep contemplation. Unbelievable sorrow prevails over them, as a relentless cycle of conflict continues to hit them.

As one battle waned, another appeared with ferocious intensity. Unbeknownst to him, this world is even more cruel than his own, where magic reigns and conflict erupts, capable of sparking war.

As if empathizing with his grief, rain fell into the abyss, further deepening his sense of alienation.

Forced to traverse dangerous terrain, he ponders his escape strategy, knowing he cannot rely on anyone but himself. His energy reserves had been depleted, making his light magic inaccessible.

With a heavy heart, he rose once more, his face scratched with a flat melancholy. Wounds adorned his body, traces of blood stained his cheeks. His legs trembled as he punched, their strength wavering, seemingly unable to endure the arduous journey. The sword in his hand, which used to sparkle, now had traces of dirt and wear.

Hope flickered within him as he yearned for a way out, and finally, he found a cave. Despite his darkness and humidity, he decided to explore its depths, his determination putting aside any fear.

Stepping into the large room, he was greeted by a terrifying silence.

"You're pathetic, Yuka." The voice of the woman echoed within the room.

The voice stops Yuka in her tracks, provoking both irritation and confusion. Surprisingly, the cave seemed empty, without the presence of any living creatures.

The voice seeped into Yuka's soul, unsettling her. "You shouldn't have followed them to that village. See proof. Are they really going to help you this time?"

Although sad, Yuka gathered strength to get up. "Yes, maybe they won't help me. But you know what's funnier? You mock others but hide in the shadows. You're just a coward."

Deep down, courage still burns within Yuka. Satoruu's words aligned with her, reminding her that giving up in the midst of a winnable battle is useless. He was determined to prove those words were true through his own actions.

Suddenly, a quick attack shot towards him, followed by the advance of the attacker. Sensing the danger, Yuka instinctively used a magic skill that required minimal energy expenditure. To his surprise, it revealed the source of the sound—a bat had launched an attack.

However, the bat met its end in an instant when Yuka's magic skill came true. Being proof that this particular bat has the ability to incite individuals, an ability that is feared for its ability to encourage others to make mistakes. Known as the Bat of Incitement, it is physically considered weak but has the power to manipulate the mind.

Nevertheless, Yuka found herself immersed in contemplation. Will salvation come from them? In his mind, it seemed impossible. Firmly, he continued his exploration in the cave, determined to find a way out once more.

During her arduous journey, Yuka encounters a small spirit that emits a gentle bluish light, the enchanting Will-o'-the-Wisp.

Seemingly gesturing to her, her movements conveyed a hidden message. Driven by curiosity, he followed in the footsteps of the ethereal creature.

Finally, they arrived at another room within the cave, but this time, the cave exuded an incredible beauty, decorated with glittering gems. Will-o'-the-wisp, after guiding him this far, disappears as if it has achieved its desired goal.

However, Yuka could not help but question whether this was really her main goal, as no way out of it presented itself. Doubt lingered in his mind, creating uncertainty over the situation.

The answer to his question quickly reveals itself as a one-eyed colossal creature, the cyclop, emerges from underground. Shocked awake, it immediately lunges at Yuka, wielding a huge axe, forcing her to dodge the relentless attack.

This dangerous encounter elicits memories of a similar incident, when Satoruu is confronted by a minotaur holding an axe. In this terrifying moment, Yuka finds herself assigned to defeat a formidable cyclop.

However, he admits his agility paled in comparison to Satoruu, aware that he still had a lot to learn before reaching his skill level.

Caught with no means to escape, Yuka has no choice but to face a cyclop head-on. His attack successfully landed, inflicting wounds on the colossal creature.

However, his huge skeleton seemed immune to pain, making Yuka feel desperate. His ability to use magic had reached his limit, making him discouraged and helpless.

He continued to dodge the cyclop attack, but with each collision, the ground trembled, weakening his diminishing strength.

Amidst this dangerous struggle, his mind returned to the words spoken by the instigating bat. The realization that no one would help him, even when facing imminent death, swept over him.

"Do I ... do I really have to face this alone?" he muttered, his voice trembling with sadness, regret, and despair.

Still, he summoned a desire to get up, but when the fierce blow from the cyclop hit the ground, his weakened body could only dodge once more.

"Darkness Shield." A familiar voice, filled with anger and determination, echoed in the air.

Just as the cyclop prepared to attack once more, the darkness barrier, born from darkness magic, intercepted his attack. It was Satoruu, who managed to unlock the dark magic, coming to Yuka's aid.

"Darkness Sword." He let out a cold voice that he had never let out.

Eaten by overwhelming anger, Satoruu stepped forward, his face furrowed in anger. His sword emitted a threatening dark aura, ready to attack the cyclop with deadly intent.

Shelina, their younger sister who accompanied them, approached Yuka, using the healing magic she had obtained to take care of her injuries.

Although his mastery of dark magic was not as strong as Saishira's, Satoruu's relentless attack inflicted significant damage on the cyclops, forcing him to retreat to the cave walls.

With lightning-fast movements, he slashed at the creature repeatedly, so there was no chance of counterattacking.

Satoruu gave them some time while Shelina took care of Yuka's wounds. And when the right moment arrives, Yuka, having recovered her health, sticks her weapon into the heart of the cyclop, causing it to fall lifelessly to the ground. Victory is theirs.

After the battle, Satoruu approached Yuka with a grim face, admitting his mistake.

"Sorry, Yuka. I didn't think twice before taking out that explosive skill. I was late to help you too. You can hit me, I'm stupid." Satoruu's voice echoed with deep regret.

However, to everyone's surprise, Yuka did not hit him. Instead, he hugged Satoruu tightly, tears streaming down his cheeks.

Their comrades, who had just arrived in the cave room, felt a wave of relief watching the two of them find solace in each other's arms.

"Don't .. don't leave me, Satoruu. I ... I .. I don't want us to part," whispered Yuka, her grip on Satoru unshakable, as if she was afraid of losing him.

Overwhelmed by everything they had been through, Satoruu returned Yuka's embrace tightly. Their bond, forged in the crucible of tribulation, is now unbreakable, formidable even against the most powerful scissors.

To the surprise of everyone present, Yuka gathered the courage to express her feelings to Satoruu.

"I love you."

Silence befalls the group, each member is shocked by Yuka's sudden statement, except for Saishira and Claire, who seem relieved after witnessing the emotional rollercoaster they experienced.

Satoruu understands everything, understanding that under such circumstances, it is natural for Yuka to reveal her true emotions.

With a gentle smile, he replied, "I love you, too."

Saishira's attention turns to the lifeless cyclop corpse, curiosity piqued by his unexpected presence in a cave near the ravine.

Approaching the falling giant, he crouched down to observe it up close, only to be greeted by a dim, glowing light that radiated from within his body.

The melodious female voice echoed from the ethereal light, summoning Satoruu and Yuka. It is revealed that the demons have imprisoned the soul of a sylph, the Angelic Sylph, inside the body of a cyclop, trapping it for centuries.

Now freed from her captivity, the grateful sylph bestows precious gifts to Satoruu and Yuka as a token of appreciation.

Satoruu receives a gift of light magic, allowing him to ward off the evil influence of the Demonical Darkness who always controls his body. Yuka, on the other hand, is given the evolution magic of light, which is Angelical Light magic.

Angelical Light's magic was opposed to the Demonical Darkness' nature, representing the evolution of light, much like Demonical Darkness embodying the evolution of darkness.

The Sylph expresses hope that they must harness this newfound ability to their full potential, as they are integral members of the Seven Saviors group tasked with saving the world.

As the lifeless body of the cyclop crumbled into ashes, a tremendous transformation occurred within the cave room. The walls shook and shifted, revealing a hidden room adorned with intricate ancient patterns on its circular floor. A gentle ray of light seeped through the cracks, causing tiny particles of dust to dance through the air.

Slowly, the roof opened, revealing a lively stretch of the outside world under the clear daytime sky. One by one, they stepped into the room, and a gentle current lifted them easily above the ground, bringing them back to the top of the abyss.

Finally returning to the village, they were greeted by a joyful crowd of villagers. Surprisingly, the villagers did not harbor any anger towards Satoruu for being almost destroyed by the blast.

Instead, they praised him for his amazing strength, which had pushed Kaminou back. Some of the villagers had witnessed that epic clash and could not help but admire the spectacle.

At the same time, Ryan, Rayvin, and Viona also came because they heard that there was a great shock outside the kingdom that could still be felt within the kingdom. Satoruu explained everything, then the three of them felt relieved after hearing all that.

"So, the prophecy of the legend actually happened," said an old man amidst the villagers.

As the citizens parted to make way, the old man's face became visible. His white hair framed the face marked with vertical scars on his left eye, while the rest of his eyes peered through the one-eyed glasses. The wrinkles on his face could depict wisdom and experience for more than four decades. His beard looks long.

With elegant steps, the old man exuded an aura of wisdom and authority. He bestows warm smiles to the newcomers, embracing them with a sense of familiarity and anticipation.
