"Maura!"
Her beautiful face was soothing, though,
her gentle smile was sweeping away,
and his shady gaze was soothing.
It was indeed Aneshka Aura.
"Is this Aura?" Kaivan still does not believe in his own eyes, making him stare again carefully at the woman who opened the door for him and Damaresh Willyam in the house.
Her loose clothing does not form curves and along the legs, hijab that always perfects her closed look, it is true Aura.
"Why are you here, Aura?" asked Kaivan who was still staring at the girl in front of him for a long time. His gaze was still reluctant to switch from the face that every time he was seen always soothing those eyes.
"Condition your eyes, Kai!" the circus of Damaresh before Aura answered Kaivan's question.
Kaivan immediately laughed crisply. "The branch does not accept it" said Kaivan with a slight thumping of lips.
"You haven't slept?" Damaresh immediately distracts Aura from Kaivan with her question.
"yet, I was deliberately waiting for you" said Aura.
"You know what, if I'm gonna come back here tonight?" Damaresh stepped past Aura and sat himself comfortably on the sofa.
"Yes, I feel confident that tonight you will come" said Aura. The girl was now standing not far beside Damaresh.
"There's something I need to tell you," Aura said later, and the girl waited silently for Damaresh's approval.
"Do I have to go? so you can talk to both of you, or I'll stay here? and let's just say I'm an invisible figure" Kaivan chirped.
"Ckk," Damaresh clucked at his best friend.
"Arra, I'll finish my business with him first,"
damaresh said to Aura.
"All right, I'll wait." And Aura immediately passed after having a chance to throw a friendly smile at Kaivan.
"So Aura lives in this house, Resh?" ask Kaivan.
"Hmmm"
"It's been a while?"
"Pretty long,"
"Good, before I intend to take him to stay with me" said Kaivan, who made Damaresh give him a sharp look.
****
Kaivan just got home an hour later from the house.
Damaresh immediately rushed to take a bath and got ready for a break because it was already past eleven and his body was too tired, too, but before his eyes closed perfectly he remembered Aura who said she wanted to talk to him, the man immediately shuffled
he came out of the room, though he wasn't sure if Aura wasn't asleep right now.
The door of Aura's room opened slightly and the lights inside were still on, but twice Damaresh called out her name with no answer from inside.
The man immediately pushed the door and saw Aura standing upright on a stretch of prayer mats wearing a mukennah.
After completing her prayers plus dhikr and praying, Aura immediately opened her face and folded it neatly.
"A-Resh," said Aura after she turned her back
and saw an unusual sight plastered before his eyes.
Damaresh sat on the edge of the bed with his eyes closed, his body resting comfortably on several pillows arranged, his breathing in order, could this man have fallen asleep.
"Arein!" the Aura between calling and waking.
Damaresh opened her eyes and looked at the face of Aura who was not wearing her hijab this time.
"You done yet?" the man's voice sounded hoarse, though,
he must have fallen asleep just now when Aura called out to him.
"Yes. Sorry, I didn't know you were coming,"
"You said you wanted to talk to me, right?" Damaresh fixed his sitting position.
"But you must be sleepy,"
"I can still hold my eyes open, for the next ten minutes,"
Aura understood the meaning of the remark, if Damaresh gave him ten minutes to convey his importance. The girl immediately took the envelope that was on the dressing table and gave it to Damaresh.
"That's an invitation from my boarding school to L&D. Madam Fadia gave it to me a few days ago,"
without intending to open it.
"I want to ask your permission, to attend the invitation," Aura said.
"If I don't allow it?"
"I will just leave with your permission," Aura insisted.
Damaresh was silent as she stared at Aura deeply, after her affirmation just now. The girl smiled thinly
made Damaresh sigh faintly.
"As far as this is concerned, Olivia has already met me!" damaresh
later then.
"really? then will you let me go?" ask Aura expectantly.
"I haven't decided yet, so I may allow you, I may not." Damaresh put the invitation back on the nightstand. Aura sighed in disappointment, but obeying Damaresh's decision was her duty now.
"If you don't let me, I won't go" Aura broke up. "But maybe-" Aura did not continue.
"Maybe what?" ask Damaresh quickly.
"Maybe I'll persuade you to be let go,"
"How?" Damaresh felt interested to know what way the girl would persuade him.
"Perhaps in a way, I'll stop smiling at you" Aura said. Because that was all he had in mind right now.
"You sure only that way?" damaresh's question sounded disdainful.
"Actually not so sure, but that's all I thought. After all, smiling at you is also a waste," said Aura who made Damaresh slightly frown.
"You mean?"
"I never get a smile back from you. Maybe my fate will be the same as Clara, who she says has been smiling at you for years and you never get back at her. So I decided to stop smiling at you first,"
Hearing Aura's words, Damaresh pulled the corners of her lips into a thin arch. According to him,
what Aura said was very funny, where there were people who told her to smile or not, or not,
not that smile is a natural reaction of the body
as a response to what is felt or what is seen. So it can't be planned to be done or not.
"Gee!" Exclaimed Aura while closing her mouth looking at the man in front of her. "You smiling, Aresh?"
The girl couldn't believe what she was seeing right now.
"really?" Damarezh also seemed to be unaware whether he really had smiled or not.
Aura immediately picked up her phone on the nightstand and was about to point at Damaresh.
"I don't like being photographed, Arra," stop Damaresh.
"Ah no, I don't want to take your picture."
Aura shook her head firmly. "I just wanted to record this event on my agenda. Because this is a rare event, Aresh. At first I saw you smile, so I'll take note of it, what day, what date and what time, everything I'll note." And Aura was really about to type something, but Urung saw that Damaresh was pulling at both corners of her lips and forming a perfect arch over the attitude of the Aura.
"You're very handsome, Aresh," Aura praised. "You're really very handsome with that smile."
he added again that made Damaresh stop his smile and look at the girl in front of him with an illegible look.
"I don't think you know how to smile, but you can too. And your smile is really beautiful" Aura continued with her praise.
"There is no one who does not know how to smile, Arra, it's just possible, there is no thing that makes the person want to smile," said Damaresh who is believed to agree by Aura.
The girl wanted to be proud now, based on what Damaresh said just now, it could be her who could make the man who was born without a smile, now smile.
Damaresh immediately got up from his sitting position. "You managed to persuade me with your threat, Arra," he said.
"That means?"
"I let you attend the invitation. So you don't have to stop smiling at me, because your smile is beautiful, too" Damaresh said. And the man also repeated Aura's sentence just now that praised her smile.
"Thank you Aresh, you're not only so handsome, but so good." Aura again uttered a sentence of praise along with her happiness to get her husband's approval to go to the boarding school. Aura already misses the atmosphere of Darul-falah plus her friends there.
Damaresh let out a small sigh with that praise and immediately sauntered out, but arriving in the middle of the door, he turned his heels back and looked at Aura.
"Never praise another man like that, Arra!
I don't like."
Aura nodded her head ensuring while smiling happily.
