Anger, disappointment, and at once sadness were mixed within him, and were clearly emanated on his face. Making Aura unable to speak anymore, even if only to explain the truth.
"Dad was really disappointed in you." he said in a trembling voice, indicating how deeply disappointed he felt towards his only daughter. The princess who had always been his pride all along.
"Aura never did that, father," Aura said. He tried to defend himself once again with a voice that started to roar as he was about to cry.
"Don't give up, Aura. The evidence is clear" Lukman snapped in a loud voice.
Aura. One clear point of her tears fell, her whole life, only this time was Lukman snapping at her violently, Aura's heart ached. But seeing the pain of the father knowing the real action he never did, it made him much sicker. Hearts screamed. Instantly hatred towards Damaresh's superior, culminated in Aura's chest.
"I don't want to know who the father is." Lukman directed a sharp look at the man standing quietly beside his daughter. "What I know is that you have done improperly with my daughter. You two have to take responsibility for what you've done." Lukman said with great emphasis.
There was not the slightest sense of trepidation in him, even though he knew how powerful the power of Damaresh Wilyam was. Maybe just by snapping his finger, he and his daughter would have been destroyed.
But Lukman must tell the truth, especially about Aura Aneshka, his beloved daughter who has really destroyed it with illegal deeds done with the big boss.
"You must get married!" Tell Lukman firmly.
"What?"
Only Aura seemed to be very surprised, not with Damaresh. The man who always appeared with his flat face still showed the same expression.
"No father, until whenever Aura will never marry Mr. Damaresh." Aura shook her head quickly. Why forge a sacred bond with a man who never believed in a marriage. What will be the destruction of Aura's life later if with him. So thought Aura.
"You have to get married, like it or not."
Lukman is well-rounded by his decision. Although he was not sure to give up his only daughter to a man he did not know her nature at all, even though Damaresh was a very wealthy man.
"But dad ..."
"I'm going to marry Arra." Damaresh spoke quickly before Aura finished her speech.
Aura looked at that boss of hers with a pair of round eyes.
"When should we get married?" Damaresh asked casually.
"Quickly."
"Then, tonight we shall marry, too" he broke up without burden.
"So, don't joke around." Aura lodged a loud protest while staring intently.
There is no way a Damaresh who has never bowed to anyone would just follow Lukman's decision. Moreover, this is a decision to get married. One thing Damaresh never wanted to do.
"I'm not kidding Arra." Damaresh stared back at Aura with an intimidating look, as was his custom when his orders were not obeyed.
"I don't believe in the Father." Aura was undaunted by Damaresh's attitude. He stared intently at his boss's dense eyeball, and strangely his feeling rippled with it.
"Whatever. The important thing is that I'll marry you tonight as well as at your father's request." The man really decided, an indisputable decision.
"Don't mess with a wedding."
Aura tried to remind him even though he knew that this would not work.
Damarezh only smiled obliquely in response to the remark. Whether what was in his mind, Aura was unable to guess, which must have had its own purpose in the decision of the man who had little expression.
Which made Aura shudder at how bleak the life he would live if it was true that the marriage would happen tonight.
