My Life with the CEO

My Life with the CEO
An unexpected meeting

Morning at Head Office.

Briant grasped an envelope that his secretary had just given him. He opened and read the contents and was shocked. Repeatedly he read the contents remained the same, his views were not wrong.

He put the envelope in the drawer of the desk. For a moment he was silent while squeezing the small ball bending. His brain was spinning hard weighing something.

Smartphone reads.

"Yes, brother Michael." said Briant to the man who called.

"Have you received the test results?" ask Dr. Michael across the street.

"Yes. I just read it."

"Then how?"

"Are you sure the test results are correct?" asked Briant in doubt.

"You doubt the quality of my lab, heh?!" dr voice. Michael sounded annoyed.

"It's not so, but this result, it confused me." Briant replied quickly.

"Then what are you gonna do? Are you gonna tell them soon?" ask dr.Michael.

"Eitherway. I don't know if this is going to be good or bad news for them especially Andrew" Briant said hesitantly.

"Sooner or later they'll find out. You can't hide that." advises dr. Michael.

"I knew. But for now please don't tell them. Their relationship has not improved." pinta Briant.

"alright. But if Andrew asks, I can't lie."

"I understand." Briant let out a long breath.

"Brother, is that possible?" briant asked doubtfully.

"Science is impossible. But the greatness of God can defeat all the laws of science. Except.." dr. Michael held back his words.

"Continue your words, brother."

Dr. Michael let out a long breath.

"I'm not sure. But it could have been just Rachel's engineering. Like you said, a lot of things happened to Andrew because of him."

"I understand."

Telphnone connection disconnected. Briant stood staring at the glass window with both hands in his pocket.

Shortly a message came in.

Lia: "My vision is ready, this week I am leaving. Don't tell my sister. It's shock. Greetings to brother Andrew. Thanks Briant."

Briant : "Okay. Give me the details of your arrival. Someone's gonna pick you up."

Sent.

*********************

It has been more than three weeks, Diana is only doing activities at home. In addition to struggling with ornamental plants he still continues to learn various kinds of foreign languages with expert teachers brought in by Andrew.

His relationship with Andrew has not improved. He only responded to Andrew as necessary and severely limited physical touch. Andrew seemed patient. He spent more time working, distracting from Diana's erratic demeanor.

However, every night his heart was still touched, how the woman was still waiting for him to go home to work and accompany dinner, even with minimal words.

The pillow is still between the beds. Several times when the woman was asleep, Andrew ventured by slowly dipping Diana's forehead as well as stroking her hair.

Andrew didn't realize that Diana sometimes knew of his behavior, but remained silent.

This morning when Andrew had left for work and Diana was struggling with ornamental plants a servant ventured closer.

"The lady here's honey lemon water for you."

"Let's put it there."

The waiter placed the drink on the table. Then he ventured closer.

"Mrs seems you haven't been out of the house in a long time."

Diana remained silent not responding to the servant's words.

"Even we servants every ten days get a chance to refresh." The waiter was still talking.

Diana stopped her activity looking at the waiter. Sandra.

"Go away, leave me alone" Diana said to the maid.

The look on the maid's face changed and without speaking she left Diana.

Conrad came shortly.

"Mommyyy I'm home."

"Hallo baby, come here. How was school today?"

"It's fun. Today's half day Conrad hurried home, wanting to play with mommy."

"Hahhah Conrad's a big boy, and now he's getting smarter."

"Yes. Conrad is eight years old" replied Conrad while showing his eight fingers.

"Mommy let's go for a walk"

"Where are you, baby?"

"To the beach yuk mommy, which is near the house alone."

Diana weighed for a moment. Then he replied, "alright."

"Asyikkkk." the little boy cheered cheerfully and immediately knew nanny.

When they were about to leave Diana sent a farewell chat to Andrew. He did not wait for an answer from the man and immediately suppressed the silent mode.

Their departure was accompanied by five guards. Too much for Diana. But Butler Jhon forced. "This is Mr. Andrew's order" he said.

***************

"Madam, she's finally out of the house" a waiter reported by cellphone.

"Good! Where'd he go?" ask the woman across there.

"The nearest beach with the boy."

"It's so good."

***********

On the beach, Conrad plays merrily with a nanny and a bodyguard.

Diana was sitting in the Gazebo. Somehow he felt reluctant to be in the heat and play. His whole body felt weak and easily tired.

While enjoying the young coconut, someone approached him.

"Diana? How are you?" the handsome young man greeted him kindly.

"Dylan?" Diana was surprised to meet Dylan on this beach.

Two guards walked closer.

"What are you doing here?" ask Diana. Stale questions.

"Enjoy the beauty of the beach." answered Dylan.

"He uh. Of course." said Diana, she felt stupid.

"I never saw you again at the course."

"Andrew has given me a private teacher."

"Ooh of course." Dylan nodded his head. He could see the guards watching them.

"He seems to take care of you. You happy?" ask Dylan.

"Of course." said Diana flatly.

Dylan looked at. I don't know why she felt something was different about Diana. Highlight the girl's eyes were not as cheerful as usual.

"You sure? You can share your burden with me at any time."

"I'm sure. Thanks to Dylan."

In the distance a beautiful black-haired woman waved at them.

"He is the son of my boss. Boss asked me to accompany him here." explained Dylan without question.

"She's beautiful." said Diana.

"Not as pretty as you are." Dylan's voice shrieked.

"Yes? What did you say?" diana asked who could not hear Dylan's voice.

"It's okay" Dylan replied quickly.

Dylan looked at Diana sharply. Then he immediately said again before the boss' daughter approached him.

"You know, I'm still waiting for you at the intersection."

Diana flabbergasted. He looked at Dylan alternately with the girl getting closer.

"Had I been at a crossroads, I wouldn't have looked for you. Achieve your happiness now." said Diana smilingly welcoming the girl's arrival.

*************

After Dylan left with the girl, Diana was feeling very tired just now that she was about to close her eyes but was void because suddenly someone came to greet her, again?!

"Hi girl I think I know you somewhere." ( hi, I think I know you somewhere.)

Diana looked at a young man who approached her cluelessly.

"I'm sorry, I think you're wrong."

"No I'm sure. Your face is hard to forget." he said sure.

"Eh?!"

"Grand Cayman! It's true you're the girl who kept me from sleeping for so long. How's it going? I've always been curious to know how you are." the man seemed excited.

"I'm good. But, who are you?" diana did not understand.

"Ayeah, you were half drunk. I gave you a business card, remember?" ask him excitedly.

Diana shook her head. What business card? Who is this guy?

"Ah, that guy must have thrown it away. My name is Jason Madison." Jason stretched out his hand. Diana welcomes. The guard stared hard.

"Diana."

"I'm glad I finally got to meet you Diana. I looked for you in some hotels in Grand Cayman, but I couldn't find you because I was a fool not to ask your name."

Diana smiled at the man's words. His memory is only faint of what happened at the VVIP club in Grand Cayman.

"Mommyyy." Conrad ran towards them.

"Hi baby, are you tired?" Conrad approached Diana with a body full of beach sand.

"Yes mommy." enjoying a sandwich regardless of Jason.

"He's your son?" jason asked in disbelief.

"Yes." said Diana.

"Cannot be. You guys look different. How old are you?" ask Jason curiously.

"Why? He's my son."

"No. No. gabe. You're about twenty-five and this boy is about eight or nine. Not likely. Three years ago when I met you and that man, you didn't look husband and wife." Jason said.

Diana breathed an annoyed breath. This guy is nice but he wants to know too much.

"Oh, he's the boy, isn't he? Are you married?" ask her curious.

"Eh, i..." Diana confusedly answered the words of the man who had suddenly appeared as if they were familiar.

Not yet had he answered, a familiar voice shouted.

"Hey mistress! Give me back my husband!"
