In the other hemisphere.
Caroline frustratedly tried to contact Mike. Many times he dialed Mike's phone number, but there was no reply from the man. The man had been missing for some time from Caroline's reach.
Caroline felt anxious, as she had just heard the official news from Secretary Andrew, if the man refused to invest and cooperate with his winery.
It seems that Andrew had already established cooperation with Theodore's estate. Although Theodore had already offered to have Caroline become a supplier at his factory, Caroline still did not give an answer.
Caroline still wants to have more range on top. Theodore was a wealthy widower, but his wealth was still far below Andrew's. And Caroline regretted leaving Andrew for the second time.
Caroline could not control the emotions in her heart. He slammed everything on the desk and shouted in frustration. Caroline can't control her emotions. For the first time in his life, he was unable to control anything. For the first time, Caroline failed to get her wish.
Meanwhile, behind Caroline's office
A five-year-old little girl who was playing with the doll, curled up in fear and immediately walked into her wardrobe. The safest hiding place, when the woman went berserk.
Not the first time she saw her mother, Caroline was angry uncontrollably. And the woman often vented her anger by beating up a little girl named Francesca. It was still recorded vividly in her memory when Caroline grabbed her hair and hit her small shoulder.
"Franceblackoo!!!!!! Where's kauuuuu!!!! Get out you son of #lannnn!!!" Shouted Caroline as she searched every corner of the house.
"Say! Where's Francesca?!" Caroline asked fiercely to the housekeeper.
The servant shook his head in fear. The thing he learned when dealing with Caroline was, not speaking or answering0 anything when the woman was angry.
"What am I paying you for, if you're not a dick!" Shouted Caroline scorn.
With a step back and a glass of red wine in hand, Caroline looked for her son. He opened each door violently, squatting looking under the table and under the bed.
"Francesca sayangggg, yuhuuuu..."
Caroline's voice suddenly became gentle calling out to her son.
"Come out, mommy won't bite you. Yuhuuuu."
Caroline suddenly laughed out loud, after which she finished the wine in her hand and threw the glass on the floor with a thick carpet
Caroline laid her body on the bed on her back.
"You know Francesca. You turned out to be a kid who didn't bring me luck. That fucking Manuel at the end of his life suddenly can't believe you're his son. And look what he bequeathed to you, just this little vineyard. Allll!!!!!!" Caroline cursed with rage.
"I want to throw you away, but this plantation is on your behalf. Arggghhhhhh!!!! Because I gave birth to you, I don't have my freedom anymore!" Said Caroline with a concoction.
"The child I gave birth to and brought good luck to me is only one. Heh! Yes the boy. Not you Francesca, you're the kid who brought bad luck into my life. Your brother used to give me luck." Caroline said with a fuss, not realizing that her son was cowering in fear in the closet while hugging a teddy bear.
"I'll meet the boy, I'll make him side with me. And I'm gonna live a life of luxury again" said Caroline weakly before falling asleep.
The female servant who had been holding herself back, not to enter the room, peeked silently. She saw Caroline had closed her eyes. For a moment he waited, making sure that the woman was completely asleep.
After about fifteen minutes had passed, the waiter slipped inside and tapped on the small cupboard with a certain code.
The little girl curled up in the closet. Start to unlock from the inside. It turns out that the closet has been designed so that it can be locked also from inside. The maid, who learned of Francesca's hiding habits when Caroline was drunk, put a key inside, so that Caroline could not open it.
Francesca opened the lock in the closet and opened it slowly. He convinced himself that knocking wasn't Caroline. The servant appeared on the sidelines of the opened door and placed his fingers on his lips.
Francesca slowly came down from the closet and entered in the maid's sling. The beautiful but skinny little girl, clutching her nanny's shoulders tightly, sought refuge.
Slowly the servant took Francesca out. Their breath was held for a moment when Caroline turned her body and was delirious in sleep.
When convinced that Caroline was falling asleep again, the maid immediately took Francesca out and headed to the back of the house. Passing through the small garden, the nanny takes Francesca to the small, dull cottage where the nanny lives in this house.
"I'll get you some milk. Shut up here. You're safe here." Said the maid who was Francesca's nanny. After putting the little girl on the bed, she returned to the main house and took the milk.
Nanny named Lena, is the only waiter in this house. All the other servants have stopped, since the death of Caroline's husband.
The servants couldn't stand Caroline's temperamental attitude. When her husband Manuel was alive, Caroline was still able to keep her attitude. And when Manuel discovers that Caroline is having an affair, he plans to divorce Caroline.
But alas, the wet lung pain he suffered worsened. In his dying state, Manuel still had time to certify documents for inheritance rights to his legitimate children. While what was left behind was this small plantation for Francesca.
Actually Manuel was not sure if Francesca was his son. But the affection that flowed when the little girl was born in her old age, made Manuel take the decision to give up the final inheritance for Francesca.
Manuel refused to let his son and daughter take him to the city. He chose to punish Caroline by letting the woman take care of her with the thought that Manuel's legacy would fall into her hands.
When the fact he received at the time of Manuel's death, Caroline became angry and vented her anger by punishing Francesca. He grabbed Francesca and dragged the little girl and tied her to a pole.
Caroline's eyes were blind. At that moment he paid no heed to Francesca's heartbreaking cry. No one cares and saves little Francesca from Caroline's anger.
Even when her stepbrothers found out that Francesca was being treated badly, they did not care. They left him and returned to Milan without Francesca.
Only Lena remained by Francesca's side. The middle-aged woman was like a mother to Francesca. He always accompanied the little girl and kept her from Caroline's rampage.
Lena returned from the main house and brought a glass of milk for Francesca. The girl smiled and thanked me. Ever since Mr. Manuel died, Francesca became quiet and rarely spoke.
"Tonight, Francesca slept with auntie huh. Tomorrow morning, Frances had to get up early and go to school. Don't think about Mommy's words. Tomorrow mommy must be better too," said Lena calming.
Francesca nodded.
"Auntie, is Francesca a child who does not bring good luck and always makes mommy sad?" ask the girl plain.
"Why are you asking like that?" asked Lena in surprise.
"I heard mommy say that. Also said mommy I have a sister who brings good luck to mommy." Francesca said wryly.
Lena stroked Francesca's head gently. Her tears dripped slowly and she was soon wiped out. He did not want to add any sadness to the little girl's heart, by looking at her dripping tears.
"Frances sleep yes. It was all a nightmare. Tomorrow when I wake up, I promise everything will be better." said Lena by hugging Francesca and patting the boy's shoulder to sleep.
