CHAPTER 28

Bastian continued to ponder back and forth in front of the operating room. The water will not stop flowing. Delia contacted him could not immediately reach Pertamina hospital because she had to take care of Kania's mother who fainted. Bastian grew increasingly upset because of Kania's mother's condition.

News of Kania's lover Bastian Widjaja is revealed. Not only the news of the accident that made a scene but the truth about their relationship was revealed.

Bastian's hand was bandaged by the hospital, although he initially refused. He doesn't care at all about his condition. He continues to blame himself for the accident that hit Kania.

I won't be able to forgive myself if something bad happens to Kania. I was so stupid not to call her for 3 days, I even let another woman hug me. Kania wake up, forgive me for being this stupid, murmured Bastian.

An hour later, Rafael and Delia brought one of Kania's younger siblings, Tobi. Bastian hugged Delia.

"Calm down, son, I'm sure Kania is a strong woman" Delia said.

"How was Kania's sister, how did she get into Tian's accident?" ask Tobi.

"I'm sorry you can't take care of Kania's sister. Brother will be responsible for whatever happens, we just wait for the results of the operation." Bastian replied.

"Why is your hand Tian?" ask Delia.

"Just scratched mi." replied Bastian weakly.

"You're a Tian man, don't show your weakness. Kania must be fine, rest assured." said Rafael.

Bastian just looked down sad. "It's all Tian mi's fault, Tian's that made Kania an accident." he said sadly. "But this is also because of papi." snapped Bastian

"What do you mean, baby?" ask Delia.

"But did you tell the Sahara, I went to Pontianak and came home today? Sahara, that damn woman hugged me at the airport. And at the same time Kania saw us hugging and of course Kania was angry. And this is the result" Bastian said.

"But never met the Sahara, how could papi tell him." replied Rafael began to get emotional from being blamed.

"Bapi didn't tell Sahara, but Papi told Mr. Baskoro when you were golfing. Of course, the man told his son. Papi stop bringing me closer to the Sahara. Tian won't be able to like it." snapped Bastian.

"Quite Tian, you dare yell at your papi. Papi never forced this match. Papi just wants to be on good terms with Mr. Baskoro." snapped Rafael.

"Enough everything." snapped Delia. "What the hell, this is a hospital and you're confusing Tobi. We're waiting for news of Kania inside. You guys are arguing. Tian stopped and you Raf are waiting for my calculation." said Delia.

Rafael and Bastian fell silent. Rafael was very afraid of Delia's anger. He did not want his wife to punish him. Rafael could not stand it if Delia kept him quiet for days.

The situation in the hospital is very difficult. It has been 3 hours of surgery, the doctor has not come out at all. Bastian kept pacing back and forth incessantly, many times Delia told him to sit down and calm down but Bastian did not listen to him.

Tobi called the Geisha. He wanted to know his mother's news, but Tobi was surprised when Geisha said they were on their way to Pertamina hospital.

"Mommy's not healed yet, why are you here?" ask Tobi.

"Mother forced and ran away from the hospital, now we are in a taxi" Geisha said.

"Oh my God, this is going to get worse" Tobi replied.

"What's up, son?" ask Delia.

"Mother and Geisha are here. I ran away from the hospital" Tobi said.

"What???" Delia was surprised so were Rafael and Bastian. "We do not know the state of Kania, if what happens how? My God, I'm so confused right now." said Delia.

"Calm down Tian, we have to calm down Kania's mother, if we panic then she must panic" Delia said.

"Auntie's right, brother, don't panic. Tobi will calm me down if I get here." Tobi said.

Bastian sighed and nodded. He tries to control his emotions. He does not want Kania's mother to be shocked and make it more collapsed.

A few minutes later the operating light went off and the doctor came out of the room. They all approached the doctor.

"How's Kania Doc doing?" ask Bastian.

"We managed to have a head operation, but there's bad news. The patient's leg was broken and we had to have an amputation. So we need the consent of the family." said the doctor.

Everyone gasped at the doctor's explanation. Bastian collapsed to the floor. He could not hold back his tears. So did Delia and Tobi, they were all crying nonstop. Bastian couldn't have let Kania lose her leg.

"We need X-rays" Rafael said.

"Alright sir we'll do it soon" said the doctor.

"Relax me I'll call George's doctor in America. He's a chiropractor. If indeed he can cure it then we will send Kania to America." said Rafael.

There was a glimmer of hope when Rafael said that. However Rafael does have a lot of connections around the world.

Rosa and Geisha arrive at the hospital. Rosa was endlessly crying as she reached the front of the operating room.

Bastian. "I'm sorry Tian aunty, Tian can't take care of Kania" he said.

Rosa shakes. "No son, this is a disaster not your fault. Aunty believes you're a good boy." answered Rosa.

"The wrong "tian taught Kania how to drive, so Kania shouldn't have to bring her own car. Tian was very sorry. Tian will be in charge of everything. Tian promised whatever would happen, Tian would not leave Kania" Bastian said.

Rosa cries while hugging Bastian. "Tante hopes Kania can come back like before son, aunt loves him very much. Kania is the most powerful aunt" he said.

Bastian calms Rosa down, he doesn't want the middle-aged woman to be shocked again.

Delia approached them. "Whatever happens, we won't leave Kania bu." said Delia.

"Thank you, Miss Delia. You are a distinguished family, but you still care about poor families like us." answered Rosa.

Delia shook her head. "There is no distinction between poor and rich for man. In the eyes of God, faith alone distinguishes. Our treasure is the Lord's care." replied Delia.

"You guys are so good" Rosa said while crying.

Everyone is waiting for Kania's foot X-ray and hoping Rafael can contact George's doctor.
