Asya could not find Zidan at the dining table as soon as she left the room this morning. He could only eat breakfast with Ana and her father-in-law because Zidan had definitely left early in the morning, given the streets of the Capital that were never absent from traffic.
After finishing a breakfast interspersed with a short chat with Ana and Rendi, Asya re-entered the room to take a vitamin tablet given by her obstetrician, for later consumption.
Asya thought for a moment, she would not feel at home considering Ana had definitely left for work, she said, and it was Rendi who said - while at the dinner table - that she would meet her old friend and probably be home in the afternoon.
As a result, after thinking further and mature, Asya decided to go to her apartment again, where Rina was.
He can't drive his car like yesterday. Zidan had clearly prohibited it and said firmly that from this moment Asya could not touch the car. Even Zidan had already taken Asya's car keys and hid them.
Asya sighed. There is no other option but to use the driver. Finally, after Asya prepared, the woman departed to be escorted by the driver to her old apartment after previously having bought some groceries to give to Rina later.
"Thank you, sir," Asya said as soon as she reached the floor of her apartment. "Mother can go home now, I'll call Dad if I want to go home later."
The driver placed the groceries on the floor before answering nervously, "I can't, Non. Mr. Zidan could be angry later."
"No, sir."
"But, Non ...."
Asya shook her head, making the middle-aged man only able to fall silent with a mouth that was about to refute. "Mr don't worry. I told my husband, so you don't have to be afraid of being scolded."
The driver would not want to nod. After saying a few words, the driver finally left Asya who had put on a happy face because he could not wait to see Rina.
...
Zidan. His face reddened with anger and worry that plagued him simultaneously. He closed his eyes to find that the taste was not disappearing, it was increasing.
The worry cannot be removed, especially when Zidan gets news from Anita about the whereabouts of Rina unknown. Rina leaves, her Mama leaves even before Zidan gets to meet her again.
"Mom ...."
Zidan felt tight. The disappointments he nurtured in such a way seemed to have no value when the people - who he honestly still held dear - went nowhere.
He even intends to come to the hotel where the mother stayed to get more information if the work that burdened him did not accumulate.
Trying to calm her mind, Zidan calls Anita through the intercom and orders her to come to her room. A few seconds later, his secretary came in after he gave instructions.
"Anita, read my schedule today" Zidan said without taking his eyes off the laptop screen.
Anita who was already nervous from the beginning can only bite her lips while turning on the tablet screen which displays Zidan's schedule that has been stretched.
Then, the woman in the neat suit began to read the schedule of the boss. Tucked the choked tone there. Anita blinked, when she was done, a breath of relief she involuntarily exhaled. However, it didn't last long. Because afterwards, when he looked up, Zidan's blasphemous gaze was filled with signs of astonishment scaring him to death.
"Why are you, Anita?"
"Sa-I'm fine, sir."
"You're not hiding anything, are you?"
Anita nodded quickly. "No, Sir. Where could I hide something from you."
Zidan's forehead creased deeply. The man was like looking at Anita with a full glance. Actually, he felt disappointed in Anita's work, not the thing that concerns the company's work indeed. Because basically Anita is the right substitute Asya.
Zidan is disappointed with Anita for her negligence in watching over Rina. Though previously Zidan had warned to take care of Rina and give the trust to meet any needs that his mother needs.
Zidan sighed. Feeling that the thing that was stirring his mind had to be resolved immediately, the man got up from the seat of power to then grab the suit that was draped on the right side of the table.
"Cancel the remaining schedule today. There's something I need to finish."
The ultimatum given by Zidan made Anita stunned. And out of nowhere, Anita's voice suddenly interrupts and makes Zidan's steps that almost reach the door stop just like that.
"Sir, you better not cancel today's schedule?"
"Why?" Zidan replied when his body had already turned around. "Is there anything else important?"
"dm ... Actually no, sir," Anita answered honestly. "But it would be better if you don't buy time. It will actually make your work pile up later."
In his heart, Zidan confirmed the statement. It is not impossible if he postpones several meetings, it will impact on working hours and busyness later. Moreover, the delivery process of Asya can be calculated to stay a few weeks.
And at the time of the birth of his first child Asya, Zidan did not want to be stuck in the work that piled up and the responsibilities that must be resolved as soon as possible.
Zidan sighed. Unfortunately, he had no other choice. Until finally, when he looked at Anita back, Zidan finally replied straightforwardly. "Work can be done later. Just invite some meetings, and let me know if there are any other documents or files that need to be signed. You can go home when all the work is done."
Now, maybe all he can do is contact the wife of his boss, and tell her that he can't hold Zidan back, as well as the possibility that Zidan is looking for Rina's whereabouts right now.
...
As soon as Rina opened the apartment door and found the presence of her daughter-in-law, Rina could not describe the happiness she felt.
Asya, who even though she had only known yesterday could take her heart in such a way. After hugging Asya and being stunned when the pregnant woman turned out to be carrying a grocery bag next to her hand, Rina could not help but advise Asya how dangerous it was to do so.
"Mummy funny." Instead of being intimidated, Asya felt grateful for what Lina did. He misses this. Advice and attention that had previously been lost, as if redeemed and returned one by one.
Lina's worries suddenly faded. His vulnerable hand again grabbed Asya before inviting his daughter-in-law into the apartment.
"Who are you here with, Shay?"
"Just like the driver, Mah."
Rina nodded. The middle-aged woman picked up the parcel that Asya had thrust out and approached the storage shelf once she knew what the contents of the pouch were.
"Have you eaten, huh?" ask Rina.
Asya nodded in response.
"Yes ... Though Mamah thought, Mamah would masakin you food loh ...."
Asya laughed a little. She moved closer to Rina to sit on the side of the kitchen counter and then clasped her wrinkled hands. "You can make me feel better next time."
"Would you like to come see Mamah again?"
"Sure dong, Mah ... Asya will routinely look at Mamah even though it cannot be every day."
Lina's eyes glazed over. A form of hope grew in his chest. Perhaps the presence of Asya is indeed a gift sent by God as a way so that he can be reunited with his children later.
"Thank you, Shay."
"You always say thank you." Asya's tone made a grumble made Rina chuckle softly.
Asya then pulls Rina into an embrace and is reciprocated by the woman with the same thing. They shared stories that day. Rina even did not hesitate to tell Asya that she had remarried after divorcing Rendi.
But just like her previous marriage, Rina could not maintain the housewife because she gave up early. Asya of course asked what the reason was, and Rina did not cover up at all that she was experiencing domestic violence which eventually made Asya cry bitterly.
"Why are you crying, Shay?" Rina spoke slowly while stroking Asya's slightly quivering back.
Asya gritted her nose, she looked at Rina with a misty look. "You must have been alone that time."
Rina shook her head. I do not know how many times he thanked God for sending Asya to accompany him. "You're not alone."
Asya of course frowned at hearing the answer. Initially Asya thought that Rina had other relatives as the place to complain at that time.
It turned out that it was wrong when Rina actually brought some photo albums and gave them to Asya. There are photos of Zidan and Ana ranging from babies until they grow up in there. Even in some parts, there are still photos of Randi in the form of portraits of their families at that time.
Asya is getting glazed. The wiping out of the photos and the feeling that he had to unite this family into a whole family again flared up strongly.
Asya was just about to say back when the ringing of the cell phone interrupted their silence. Asya reached into the small bag she was carrying and found Anita's number listed there.
"Hello, Anita."
"Asya." Rina greeted Asya with an agitated-sounding greeting.
"What's wrong?"
"Sir Zidan ... He's probably now looking for Rina's mother."
Asya knew this was what was going to happen. So before acting away by taking Rina to her apartment, of course Asya had already overcome this first.
"You calm down, Anita. I asked someone to help us with this. So, you don't have to be afraid if Zidan knows you're helping me."
