Zidan gritted his nose as soon as his car was parked right in front of the fence of a house. A home that looks simple, with a series and rows of flowers that complement - feels very cool when viewed.
Taking out the phone and turning it on, the man occasionally noticed the address plate and text message on the screen of his hand-held phone alternately.
Last night, after the strong determination that he had nurtured in such a way, Zidan finally ventured to meet the Asya family that was still left.
From the short story that this blind morning Ana delivered -- after extracting information from Asya, Zidan can conclude that his idol still has an Om - the younger brother of his father - who lives with his wife, one child, and son-in-law and also a grandson.
Zidan smiled briefly, reminding himself to thank Ana and her best friend Andi, because without them, maybe he would not have acted so far.
"Come on Zidan, it's time you fight!" the sentence seemed to be an encouragement when Zidan walked over the spacious courtyard of the house, after opening the fence.
Normalizing the heartbeat, the trembling man's hand was raised to squeeze the bell on the side of the door. Shortly after the door opened, featuring a middle-aged woman looking confusedly at him.
"This, who is it?"
"I'm Zidan, Aunt."
The woman looked frowned, evident from her wrinkled forehead that shriveled as if trying to examine the face of Zidan that he might have encountered -- but forgot because of his senile disease that sometimes relapsed.
"We've never met, Auntie. I'm only here for the first time" Zidan said as if understanding the woman's behavior while looking at her face.
The woman smiled sweetly, and reached for Zidan's hand to wipe. "Pantesan, Aunt never saw you. Oh yeah, who's Zidan looking for?"
Zidan's grim countenance suddenly turned grim, he lowered his head for a moment before looking back at the middle-aged woman. "I'd like to see Aunt's husband, if I could."
"What business does Zidan want to see Aunt's husband?"
"I want to ask for your blessing, Auntie. I'm Asya's boyfriend-his niece Aunty's husband."
...
Blows, scolding, angry and disappointed looks he no longer cared about. His face was already numb, with some points turning blue - some even bleeding, as if no more pain for a Zidan.
For Zidan, this is a struggle. If he had to be hurt to get Asya's heart and the girl's family's blessing, he didn't matter at all.
Zidan lowered his head, with both knees and soles clinging to the cold ceramic. His head felt dizzy, when Justin did not stop gnawing his face strongly.
"Go lo!! You don't want to ask for our blessing after what you did to Asya!!" jolt Justin with a hunting breath.
At first the exit was very happy about the presence of Zidan in their home. Moreover, the man's intention to propose to Asya made Anton-Om Asya-and the family feel happy.
Asya is their pride. The woman is strong and independent. After the departure of her parents, as well as the incident that made her expelled from the school located in the Capital, Asya was brought by Anton to live with their family. Before long, it was only limited to graduating High School and Asya resumed his education in the Capital City.
Justin grimaced as he recalled his cousin. What is her fate now, is she still a cheerful woman?
Sighing Justin sighed faintly towards Zidan who was still lowered his head. Disappointment and anger are so intense from his point of view.
This man was the man who stained his sister, the man who made his sister pregnant with no clear bond. Then he came to their house to ask for blessing? Is that true?
"Go lo!!"
"Justin..," the hoarse and feeble voice called out, Justin turned his head - looking at his father who was trying to get up from the sofa to approach the two of them.
"Sit down, Pah. Justin's gonna take care of this baj*ngan."
"Well, you want to see him, Justin."
Hearing the father's word, Justin took a few steps back, equalizing the position with Tina-the wife, Justin saw from a distance that is not how far, how the father helped Zidan to just straighten the body.
"What's your name, son?" Anton asked in a gentle tone, should the point of anger still be imprinted on his wrinkled face.
"My name is Zidan."
"Why are you doing this? Why did you do all that shit to your niece, Om?"
That question, Zidan couldn't answer.
Anton sighed, not expecting to be confronted by the depraved man who ruined the life of his beloved nephew.
"You can go" he said again, making Zidan shake his head quickly and hold Anton's hand.
"I want to marry Om's nephew, I mean it. I really love him.."
Zidan fell silent again, until finally his grasp was released. Her face that was painful was now numb. Is the move to get Asya just to get here?
"And for Asya, our family is still able to finance his life and his son later. So, son Zidan don't have to worry," said Anton again, throwing an ultimatum that makes Zidan bow silent a thousand languages.
Lo lost to Zidan!! You can't fight someone you love!!
Zidan repeatedly threw slurs at himself, until a warm swipe, felt at the top of his head. Zidan looked up, looking at Hana-Anton's wife who looked in the shade at him.
"Son Zidan really loves Asya?"
"I really love him, Auntie. I never really meant it."
"Then, Auntie bless your relationship."
Not yet had Zidan responded, Justin had reproached and approached them. "Well, what's Mama trying to do to him?! He's a baj*ngan, Mah! You didn't forget, did you?"
Hana smiled, switching to rubbing the shoots of the child's head. "You don't forget, baby. But, don't you see Zidan's sincerity for your sister?"
Justin fell silent, looking towards Zidan before turning to throw away his gaze. Hana smiled again at her son's behavior.
At first, he was angry. Moreover, hearing the fact that Asya got harassment from a man who is now in front of him.
But, seeing Zidan who told the story without covering up a single incident, and also did not fight when Justin hit his face repeatedly made the middle-aged woman's heart melt.
Still wiping the top of Zidan's head, Hana looked at her husband who was looking at her and Zidan with a flat look. "How, Mas. What is the blessing of Asya and Zidan's relationship?"
Anton crosses paths, Hana's look at him making him melt away instantly. Anyway, it's for Asya. For his beloved nephew. "Alright, I approve of your relationship, but on condition that you should be able to win Asya's heart again."
The words lead to one sentence, in which Zidan tells that Asya is away from him - from the length of the story earlier.
"I'll win Asya's heart, Om. I promise."
Anton smiles. "I'll wait for him." Then his gaze turned to the son-in-law who had noticed earlier, not letting out a single word. "Tina," he called.
The son-in-law looked over, and approached. "What's up, Pah?"
"Bring the P3K box, and treat your sister-in-law's candidate."
...
Asya repeatedly looked towards the outside of the villa, from the large window that connected the two. It was evening, but Zidan did not appear from morning until now.
It would be a lie if Asya did not worry about the man. However, Zidan is the one he loves and the father of his son - despite all the anger Asya still has.
Sighing, Asya stepped back towards the kitchen. Maybe Zidan has come back and given up.
And as soon as they reached the kitchen, it seemed Ana, Fany and Yuda were preparing some kind of food for them to eat later.
"Well, where's abis from?" Ana asked, stirring the contents of teflon on the stove.
"Yes, where did you go from back and forth?" add Fany which makes Asya nervous when answering.
"No, I'm just going around."
Fany responded by saying the word 'Oh'. While without Asya knowing, actually Ana already knows what is in her mind.
Zidan's.
Ana is also worried about her sister's condition. Moreover, Zidan's goal to ask for the blessing of the Asya family, and want to tell all the depraved deeds that he did, making Ana more wrapped in eternal.
Long they remained silent. Asya with her thoughts, Ana was busy with the contents of her teflon, Fany prepared a place of dishes, while Yuda with a knife to shake other ingredients.
Until the creaking sound of the door opened obscured their inertia. Asya looked over and then stepped quickly. His feelings of worry could no longer be contained, especially when his manic was berirobok with the body of Zidan who limped -- carried Andi -- with a battered face, looked painful.
"Zi-Zidan, what's wrong with you?" asya said, unconsciously approaching and touching the soft bruise on Zidan's face.
