Mother To Aina

BUA 12

After a week in the hospital, Aina was finally allowed to go home. During her treatment, Haifa often went back and forth to the hospital. It's not what Haifa as a woman her maternal instincts instantly appear when Alvin tells her if Aina is looking or asking him. Moreover, Haifa now knows that Aina was far from her mother since childhood.

Getting closer to Aina doesn't mean Haifa is getting closer to Alvin either. Make no mistake if it's not important Haifa never communicates with Alvin. When they are in one room, they just shut up.

If Aina again asks Alvin to make her beautiful aunt as a mother, it seems like Alvin has to work hard. Even harder.

"Papa work first. Aina at home with grandma."

Aina nodded.

"Can't be tired. Keep having to pinter take the medicine okay."

Aina nodded again.

"Yaudah papa is leaving, son." said Alvin and kissed Aina.

"Mom, Alvin is Aina. If there's anything, tell Alvin."

"Yes, it's calm. Aina is safe with mom. You heart the heart on the road."

"Yes mom. Assalamualaikum."

"Papa." call Aina who's in mom's arms.

"Yes dear." replied Alvin while coming back closer to Aina.

"Bone na tama aty tantik ya" said Aina slowly.

"Let's ask first aunty is busy or not yes baby."

"Kemalin auntyna did not come to this did not cementin Aina right." replied Aina again.

Mom and Alvin just exchanged a look.

"Yes, I'll ask her aunty first." said Alvin while rubbing Aina's hair.

Aina returned just nodding.

Leaving the office and campus for more than a week, makes Alvin's activities today quite crowded. But as much as possible Alvin took the time to call home to ask Aina's situation. Finished calling Aina, Alvin was again reminded by Aina to bring her beautiful aunty home.

But this time it was not as usual, Alvin felt bad to contact Haifa. Because he knows that Haifa has started to be busy with the process of preparing the thesis. Yes Alvin knows because he is also a lecturer.

It's for Aina's sake, Alvin's trying to contact Haifa. On the third call finally Alvin's call was picked up by Haifa.

On the phone...

Haifa: Assalamualaikum ma'am.

Alvin : Wa'alaikumsalam. I'm Alvin not your mama.

Haifa: Yes Haifa tau ma. Haifa again same friend ma. Mama what is necessary?

Alvin was silent for a moment. He tried to understand Haifa's intentions.

Alvin: I'll call you via chat. Assalamualaikum says.

Haifa : Wa'alaikumsalam.

Alvin cut off his phone. Then switch to typing something on the chat app.

"Assynolajet. Do you have free time today? Aina asked me to take you home because she hasn't seen you in two days" Alvin wrote and sent it to Haifa.

Haifa who was already on standby with his cellphone did not take long to reply to Alvin's message.

"Wa'alaikumsalam's chat. If this afternoon I can not sir there is guidance with Mr. Andi. Oh, how's Aina doing?" I guess Haifa's reply.

"Aina is getting better. Only the weak have not recovered 100%. Completed guidance at what time? Let me pick you up to campus." reply Alvin again.

"Alhamdulillah if it gets better. No need sir, I also do not know the guidance at what time. Let it be later when I'm done I try to meet Aina." Haifa replied.

"All right then. Sorry I'm troubling you." reply Alvin.

"It's okay. I'm happy to meet Aina." Haifa replied.

"When you meet me?" reply Alvin. And only read without reply by Haifa.

Haifa had no intention of responding to Alvin's last chat. Haifa put the phone back in the bag.

"Haifa why has he been playing mobile phones since?" ask Ina.

"Eh yes sorry yes. Mama called this afternoon Haifa was told to go home." Haifa lied.

Haifa is still hiding her closeness with Aina who happens to be Aina's son, Mr. Alvin. Only Dinda knows about Aina. Dinda also does not know if Aina is Alvin's son.

The news of Alvin's status is now widely known to students because Alvin a few days back did not enter because his son was sick. Many of the students who said they retreated slowly included Inara.

"So Haifa finished direct guidance home?" ask Aulia.

"Yes Haifa went home. Maybe a little new night to the hostel again."

"Why don't you sleep at home? It's so tired" said Dinda.

"Yes it means that you are not tired of Haifa night straight to the boarding if you are tired of sleeping at home" Haifa replied reasoned.

At 15:20 Haifa just finished the guidance. He immediately went to the mosque to perform the Ashar prayer.

Finish praying Ashar Haifa nervas to go see Aina. It is undeniable that he also sometimes feels awkward in cute little children who worry about it.

It's only about 100 meters out of the campus gate.

Tin... Tinn.

"Assalamualaikum" said Alvin while opening half the glass of the car.

"Wa'alaikumsalam" Haifa replied.

"Just in. If this can be caught by other students" said Alvin. 

"Have you finished?" ask Alvin who hasn't run his car.

"Yes sir." Haifa replied.

"Can I take you to meet Aina now? Or are you still having other business?" ask Alvin.

"Yes could sir. But you shouldn't have to come here. It's troublesome." said Haifa.

Alvin chuckled softly.

"So you think I'm here to pick you up?" ask Alvin.

Haifa was silent.

"Not wrong anyway. But I'm actually here on a job. But because I see you being all of you."

Haifa's face immediately flushed red and instantly turned her face towards the window. Haifa was embarrassed how she thought Alvin was picking her up when in reality. Ah Haifa suddenly got upset at herself.

Alvin who saw Haifa from the glass in front of him also smiled to see some of Haifa's face that still looked red.

"Well, if we walk that way."

"I.. Yes." replied Haifa.

Alvin again smiled at the nervous Haifa.

The streets of Bandung in the afternoon are quite crowded. But in Alvin's car it felt really cold. Cold sourced from AC is also cold because they are the same silent.

Now Alvin and Haifa have arrived at Alvin's house. This is the first time Haifa has come to Alvin's house.

"This is my house" Alvin told Haifa as they were just getting out of the car.

Haifa just nodded.

"Maybe someday it will be your home too" said Alvin slowly.

"What did you say?" haifa asked who did not hear clearly what Alvin was saying.

"Ah don't forget it. Let's go in."

Haifa tailed behind Alvin.

"Assalamualaikum" said Alvin as he entered his house.

"Wa'alaikumsalam." answered the mother from the kitchen.

Alvin immediately greeted his mother and was followed by Haifa.

"Eh there's Haifa too. Aina in our room yuk to Aina's room mother also just happened to take pudding for Aina" said the mother.

Haifa slightly glanced at Alvin as if asking for permission since Haifa was here as a guest.

Alvin nodded as if giving permission through a nod of his head.

How did Alvin and Haifa play code?

Alvin chose to stay in the living room. He knew he was there

Haifa will be stiff.

Not long after Alvin saw mom coming down from Aina's room.

"Vin, can I talk?"

"Speak a ma'am."

"Aina seems like a really good thing about Haifa?"

"Yes. Alvin told me the same mother. That Aina was so close to Haifa."

"What are your own people?"

"I mean mother?"

"Well, is his son still stuck if his father how?" ask mother.

"Alvin?"

"Who do you think Aina's father is?"

Alvin did not answer.

"Vin. Why don't you try to apply for Haifa."

Alvin did not respond.

"Aina told me the same story, she said you once said you wanted to make Aina Aina the mother. Do you really have any intention of going there? If there's why isn't it synchronized?"
