Chapter 28

Elena is bad luck. The smell of burnt bread. Elena rubbed her eyes and exited the room where the door was half open. He saw that Adam was having breakfast and was already wearing his office clothes.

"I'm sorry I had a bad time" Elena said.

"It's easy, I'm used to it myself" Adam said with a smile. Elena stared silently at Adam, Adam realizing his words were wrong. The smile missing from his face changed with misbehavior.

"I get it, you started at the office today?" elena asked who was trying to relax while drinking water which was actually not thirsty either.

"Yes, I'm sorry but my job..."

"Don't be awkward, isn't our marriage the goal?" elena asked with a smile.

"Yes... Oh yeah, you're free to want anything and do anything just so you don't party in this house or tarnish the family name,"

"I understand! I will enjoy my day. So enjoy your day," Elena said with a smile. Adam became relieved and he rushed to the office not to forget he left the card for shopping. Elena took the card without any intention of making a fiddle. It was for the needs of both of them and the rest he would use for his college preparation. There is still time to pursue a new school year. He will take the bimbel to prepare for the entrance test. Today his agenda is looking for a bimbel place.

Elena took a shower and looked through advertisements offering to learn how to prepare for college. There were two to three courses Elena wanted. He'll go over there and ask. Elena changed clothes and rushed out, she booked a taxi online and went to the three places.

Elena considered her abilities and began to think about her choices. Later that night he'll ask Adam for permission to take the course. For to work was not permitted by Adam and his family. He will feel bored if there is no activity before the acquisition begins.

Elena came back after lunch and spent her time making donuts and cooking dinner. In the afternoon, he relaxes on the balcony while enjoying his donut waiting for Adam to come home. He would persuade Adam to allow himself to take the course. But until the magrib came Adam did not come home. Elena saw his phone, there wasn't a single message from Adam.

Elena went inside and watched the television broadcast with increasingly high levels of boredom. He then looked at his email and it felt like for a very long time he had not reported anything to Hans even though it was a waste but he would always try to communicate with Hans. He told me a lot and told me all the good things and it was like his life was happy. What happened was really bored.

After sending the message, please get the phone ringing. Hana calls him and they tell him so many things until time passes so quickly. After closing the conversation with Hana, Elena went to the kitchen and saw the whole food waiting for Adam, as well as a row of colorful doughnuts that were no longer beautiful to look at. Elena took a breath and passed into the room. At 21:00 it is certain that Adam will come home late or even not come home. Elena pulled out the blanket and slept in the bed. He rolled up some bedcovers for Hans's bed.

Elena woke up feeling thirsty. He glanced under his bed. The bedcover roll is no longer there. The sign was that Adam had come home, no matter what time Adam arrived until Elena did not realize Adam had come home. Elena came out of the room and saw Adam asleep in front of the television. The television was alive while Adam slept with gaping lips and there was a purple glaze stain there. Elena smiled and immediately grabbed the empty doughnut spot, putting it into the kitchen. Drink water and go back to the room. A moment he stopped and rubbed Adam's lips with a tissue made the man wake up.

"Eeeh sorry! Awaken you. There's a stain and it's best to drink some water" Elena said.

"Oh... Thanks. Next time wake up" said Adam. Then he went to the bathroom and Elena went to his room. Elena leaned against the door and felt her chest pounding. He pressed his chest and lay down even though his eyes could not be closed. What's up with him? Does he still have red lips with purple stains on his edges? Does that make him flutter? Nah! Elena shook her head.

He grabbed a pillow and covered his face. Trying to sleep even if it doesn't work. Elena got up and sat leaning on her headboard and looked at her phone. There was only a message from her sister asking her news, also from Hana. Elena just read it and will reply to it tomorrow morning. It is not good to reply to their messages after midnight.

Geck... Geck... The door was knocked open and Adam was seen there.

"What's wrong?" ask Elena.

"I'm still hungry, can you make me something?" her door. Elena put down her phone and immediately got off the bed and walked to the kitchen followed by Adam behind her.

"That was and now still wants a snack,"

"Donate..."

"Oooh, I only got two donuts. The rest Lee ate. He drove me because my car was on service and it's over tomorrow,"

"Ooh.., uh...,"

"And Lee ate here, too" said Adam. Elena looked at him from across the table.

"Why not wake me up?" ask Elena.

"I can't wake a man who's snoring!" said Adam. As Elena's face flushed red, she turned around and immediately busied herself looking for groceries in the refrigerator. Actually he was lazy to cook nights. Fortunately, there was a packet of french fries. Elena fried it and served it to Adam as she talked about the course.

Elena sat down restlessly in front of Adam. Initially Adam was cuek but over time he became disturbed. Adam immediately finished his meal and looked at Elena.

"Is there something you want to say?" ask Adam.

"Uhm... That way. About my college..."

"Not next year? Or is there a change of campus?" tanyakanya.

"No... No. gabe... That's not. I'd like to inquire about the bimbel course in preparation for the college entrance test. You know for yourself I haven't studied or read a book in a long time, so before college I want to take a course and repeat the lesson" says Elena. Adam nodded his head. He grabbed his glass and drank it to the end.

"I understand. You can take the course. But my mom's offer still stands,"

"No! It's not that I don't respect my mom but I want to go to college to my ability,"

"Okay, no problem. Just do it as long as it's useful" Adam said.

"Thanks Dam,"

"Any relax, you've decided where the course is?" ask Adam. Elena nodded and immediately ran to unpack her bag and handed her the three brochures she got.

"Here?" asked Adam to glance at the brochure. Elena nodded excitedly and smiled widely.

"Can it be one of them? I went to those three places and I liked this one, "pointed Elena at the brochure in the middle.

"I don't agree with the three of them," Adam said staring at Elena. The smile on his face disappeared.
