Chapter 27

They had breakfast in silence. Elena felt a little distance and chat with Adam. And Adam did not try to open a long conversation. They were really two strangers who were forced to eat at the same table.

After breakfast, Adam immediately took her back to the apartment with a lot of Elena's clothes and belongings.

Arriving at the apartment, Elena immediately cleaned her clothes and Elena felt grateful that Adam wanted to help her clean the closet. Until now their clothes are neatly arranged in the same closet. Then Adam pointed at the pile of wedding gifts in the corner of the living room. Elena simply sighed and instead lay down on the bed. Followed Adam.

"I'm sorry, I'm dragging you into this situation" Adam said.

"I feel like I'm using you, especially for my college," Elena said.

"No, we both benefit from the ambitions of both our parents. I hope you can survive in our household" said Adam. Elena sat down and remembered Adam and his girlfriend. Elena felt herself as a destroyer of people's relationships.

"I understand and I will strive to be a good wife as long as we reach our goals" Elena said.

"Good!" adam smiled while nodding.

"Uhmmm but another one can I ask?" ask Elena.

"What?" ask Adam.

"Don't yell at me or scold me for something I don't understand" Elena said.

"Well, I'll try to stay calm" said Adam.

"Thanks" said Elena sincerely. Adam smiled.

"Uhm... Can we cook something for lunch?" ask Adam.

"Haha.. Okay, let's see what's going on in your kitchen" Elena said.

They walked to the kitchen and found the contents of the refrigerator filled with instant food and fruit, as well as various canned drinks. Elena took a breath.

"Why?" ask Adam who saw the contents of the refrigerator.

"You're a really big laper?" ask Elena.

"Not really,"

"Yes, I made something and then we went shopping" said Elena pulling a packet of instant noodles.

"No, we'll just go shopping. Buy a snack" said Adam. Elena nodded. Instantly he saw a normal household life during their conversation. But Elena realized, this was just the circle of their simple interdependent lives. No change the style of dating people today who live at home. They are without bond but full of love. As for who Elena lived, the bond is legitimate but without love in it. I don't know which is more interesting. The important thing is to just walk. Life must go on.

They shop for various needs for food stocks. Elena smiled to see Adam accompanying her to the market aisle to buy their various needs. When you think about it, Adam is not an annoying and cold figure. It may be true said mama Renata that in fact her son is a good figure.

After shopping, Elena immediately cooked and prepared everything on the dining table. Meanwhile Adam is engrossed in front of his laptop, probably doing his job. Elena called for lunch. They eat in silence. The atmosphere that made Elena awkward but also immediately felt happy because Adam ate voraciously and asked for more. Means Elena can indeed cook according to Adam's taste. She had no idea what her husband's favorite was.

In the afternoon, Renata and Kim's mom come to see Elena and Adam. They were happy because Elena and Adam showed romance despite looking still awkward and timid.

"What is this night?" elena asked as she went to bed and Adam's parents returned home.

"Ooh, you sleep there. I sleep in front. There is a little work to be done!" adam said, Elena nodded and went to sleep.

Actually Adam's body ached having to sleep on the sofa. But he was afraid that sleeping in the same bed as Elena would have bad consequences. They have no future children planned. Only until the wishes of the two of them are achieved will the story of their marriage be finished.

At midnight Adam woke up to the smell of chocolate. He sat down and saw Elena carrying the cup to the balcony. Adam walked towards the door but stopped approaching Elena because she was wiping her tears while looking up at the sky. I don't know what he's thinking.

Before long the girl took a sip of her chocolate drink and sat in silence between the depths of the night. Adam felt like peeing, so he went to the toilet and this time he went out to meet Elena who was still staring at the sky.

"You're not sleeping?" ask Adam.

"I woke up to the call of nature. Why do you make warm milk, can you make me too?" adam's Pinta. The girl nodded and went inside to make a drink. Before long he came out with setoples of bread and hot chocolate.

"Drink!" said Elena.

"Thank you!"

They sit in silence. Nobody wants to start a conversation. This whole thing feels awkward.

"Len!"

"Brake!"

"You first!"

"No, lady first!"

"No," Elena said with a smile.

"Oohs... Uhm I just want to sleep in the room" said Adam.

"Haaa?"

"I feel like my body hurts for days sleeping on the couch" Adam said, scratching his head.

"It's not a mode, is it?" elena asked suspiciously.

"What other mode? You are filled with negative thoughts!"

"It's natural, right? I'm afraid of you..."

"Nggaaac! Sorry yes, you're not my type,"

"I have to be careful, though,"

"Come on, I can't sleep on the couch anymore,"

"We're looking for the middle ground!" said Elena.

Finally they went to the room and Elena looked for some badcover and put it together. Re-coated with a soft blanket. It is soft even though it is not as thick as a mattress in bed.

"Wanna try?" ask Elena.

"Why aren't you?" ask Adam. Elena took a breath while clenching her body. Then suddenly Adam jumped on the bed and rolled on his blanket.

"I've long missed this mattress and blanket, over and over. Watch out don't fuck with me,"

"Who wants to fuck! How disgusting! Oddly enough, every where is a guy!"

"Yeee has mostly given up! Already replace. Sleep on!" Said Adam.

Inevitably Elena immediately grabbed the blanket and pulled the pillow from Adam's bed and lay down. Strange feeling. Better than on the couch. Elena fell asleep immediately because she was a little tired. And after hearing Elena's fine snoring. Adam woke up and looked at Elena who was sleeping beside under his bed.

"I'm sorry, tomorrow we're looking for an extra bed. I want to sleep well" whispered Adam. Then he went back to sleep.

That night they slept close together, though not in the same bed. One thing Elena finally understood, that Adam was not what she had imagined. And Adam also understands that Elena is a sweet girl and very patient. Somehow their relationship will eventually. We can only hope that everything will be fine and have a happy ending. But we don't know how destiny leads us.
