Mentari for Dawn

Mentari for Dawn
CHAPTER 92 - Gerald's Confession

Tristan's words made Gerald inflamed. Why is it that the longer luck favors Dawn? Even Tristan, who she thought disliked Dawn and would help her separate Dance from her half-sister, now easily said she would bless them!

While he was convicted he would not be able to have offspring. Though he already has offspring, and now in the content of Dance. He is the father of the baby! Not Dawn!

What should he do now to get both? How did he get rid of Dawn from their lives?

🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁

Dawn was struggling with her work when the door of her practice room was knocked from the outside.

"Lake in!" Excited Dawn who was still focusing on the files containing medicinal ingredients in his hands, and without looking at the door.

The door is open. Vera, his assistant came in and approached Dawn.

"Sorry Doc, there's Mr. Gerald outside. He said he wanted to meet you"

Hearing Gerald's name made dawn immediately turned his gaze to his assistant. "Gerald? What's he doing here?" He asked with a frowning forehead.

"I don't know Doc either. So now how is it? The doctor wants to see him, or am I telling him to leave?"

"No need. Just tell him to come in" replied Dawn flatly.

"Okay Doc" Vera nodded then turned around and walked out of her superior's room.

The dawn breathed a long breath. He thinks hard. What would Gerald want to see him? Even to his hospital. All this time, her brother never wanted to go to her. I don't know what Gerald's aim is right now.

But he couldn't possibly reject it either. Even though he was very busy and reluctant if he returned to confront his stepbrother.

A few minutes after Vera came out, the door opened again.

"Good day, my dear brother. How are you doing? You seem very happy, don't you? The aura of happiness was clearly emanating from your face. Is this because of your wife's influence...?" Gerald greeted with a friendly smile as he opened the door and walked over to his half-sister's desk.

"Not to talk about it let alone bring my wife. To the point, what do you mean come here? Because you can't possibly meet me without a purpose, right? Quickly tell me what you want, and after that you can leave this place, because I'm busy" replied Fajar coldly as he moved and walked closer to the sofa, then stunned sitting on the sofa.

"Hey calm down sister. Why is your attitude so bad? Have you forgotten, you said it yourself? We are both brothers. Is this how you welcome your brother?" Gerald walked over to the sofa where Dawn was.

"And I know, whatever I say, it will never make you think of me as a brother. And all this time, you also never, welcome me well? So never mind, we don't have to act naive. Just tell me, what's your purpose in meeting me?"

"alright. I will gladly say what I want. I just want to, you leave Dance" said Gerald who suddenly made Fajar stunned and looked at his stepbrother with a look of wonder and strange.

Not understanding what Gerald meant to come and ask him to leave his own wife. Either he's playing a joke or what? And since when has Gerald interfered in his personal life? Even in his household.

"Is my speech still unclear? I want to, you leave Dance. In other words, divorce her" Gerald emphasized sharply.

"Are you crazy, or drunk? How many bottles of drink did you spend, until you could suddenly come here, and ask me to leave my wife alone? Who are you? And what right do you have over my home life?"

Dawn looked at Gerald with a strange look and a wry smile. It was as if what Gerald was saying right now was the words of someone who was drunk or ignorant.

"You want to know who I am?" Gerald asked casually. The dawn did not answer. It felt like he was getting tired of serving his brother's obscure jokes.

"I am the father of your wife's baby" Gerald stared intently at Dawn and said with great emphasis.

"Haha!! You talkin' good? What kind of joke is this?" Dawn laughed out loud at Gerald's words, which he thought were absurd.

"This is not a joke. But this is a fact. The baby that Dance has conceived is not your daughter. But she's my daughter. My flesh blood" Gerald said firmly and seriously.

"What do you want Gerald? You came here just to tell me this kind of nonsense?" Dawn asked with a little annoyance. He thinks everything Gerald says is ngawur.

"You think I have time to talk nonsense? I speak based on reality. That night, you did nothing. I'm the guy. I harassed Tari, until she got pregnant like she is now. So the baby she's carrying isn't your son. But it's my son"

Dawn fell silent and looked at her brother with a judging look, trying to find out if the man's speech was serious or just a mere joke. But he still could not believe Gerald's confession. Because he thinks everything he says is highly unlikely.

"What did you say Gerald? Don't ngaco. Obviously that night I did the harassment. If you did, then where were you?" Dawn looked at Gerald sharply. His tone also began to rise because he was upset and felt being played with.

Gerald took out a flash from his pants pocket, and handed it to Dawn.

"Please see for yourself what happened that night. And then make the right decision for you and Dance. Because I just want to, you give back what should be mine. Good day" said Gerald, who got up and walked out of the room.

Leaving Dawn with turbulent feelings, between believing and not with the man's confession. It felt very unlikely that it wasn't him who did the harassment to Dance. Obviously that night when she came to her senses, she saw that Dance was next to her, and in a state of *********. And he didn't see Gerald there either.

Then how could Gerald do such a depraved deed? N-no! That guy must be playing him! She knew Gerald hated her so much that he would do anything to destroy her life. Including the integrity of the household.

All this must have been done by Gerald to make him doubt Dari and his own daughter! Yes, that must be the goal! But, was it possible that the man could be as brave as it was to admit to a deed he did not do?

The dawn thinks very hard. Trying to gather his memory pieces that night. At that time he dreamed Gerald was playing with a woman. And the man hit him too.

Dawns gasp. His body was also tense. What did he think was a dream, actually a reality that occurred in his subconscious, because he was under the influence of alcohol?

Even until now she did not remember how she harassed Dari. Even the woman's body felt very foreign to him, as he touched her in a conscious state.
