Mentari for Dawn

Mentari for Dawn
CHAPTER 61 - Refusing to Apologize

After all, this arrogant man was still his superior who should be respected.

"Santi, you can come out now" Gerald glanced at his secretary.

"Okay sir, I'm sorry" Secretary Santi turned his body around and left the room. Now only Dance alone with the man.

Dance so nervous and awkward. He was confused as to what to behave. I don't know what this brother-in-law will say or do. But he has to stay calm. Dance caresses her distended stomach. As if trying to ask for strength from the baby in the womb.

"Okay, what was your name? A mentor?" Gerald scrunched his forehead and pointed at Tari with his index finger.

"Yes sir" Dari nodded respectfully.

"I didn't expect that I would meet my sister-in-law again. You must still remind me, I once came to the wedding event you and my stepbrother with my mom and Oma?" Gerald walked in slow steps, then he stood behind Dari and stared at the woman's back cynically.

"Yes sir, of course I still remember" Dari nodded and replied flatly.

"Then, did you forget, with our first meeting in the hotel incident that night? What was your attitude towards me and my family at the time? Or the.... You're acting like you forgot?" Gerald walked two steps and stood beside Tari. He still said and looked at the woman cynically.

"No sir, I still remember it. I'm not senile"

"Then, do you have no intention of apologizing to me, for what you've done, to me in front of thousands of people?" Ask Gerald who tried to bring up the incident of their dispute while at the hotel first.

"I'm sorry before, sir, but apologizing is an action done by the person who made a mistake and regretted it. And here, I never felt I had done anything wrong at the time. Because of what I do, just defend and protect my best friend from abusive treatment, which is not supposed to be done by a respectable and highly educated person like you.

If I now apologize for my actions that night, it means that I condone your abusive actions against my friend. And I regret what I did to defend him. I apologize profusely Sir, until whenever I can not accept let alone justify your arrogant and arrogant actions against Ranty" said Tari firmly and without looking at the man.

"How dare you talk to me like that. You forgot what your status is here, and who am I? If I wanted to, now I can get you out of this company. And make you get a bad GPA...." Gerald smiled cynically and said in a low voice, but tucked a threatening tone inside.

"If it is your decision, and it is also your way of suppressing me, please just do it, sir. And I will take it with a chest. Than I have to justify things that are wrong and not in accordance with my conscience. If our conversation is over, I'm sorry. Good afternoon"

Dance responded to the men's threat casually and without feeling the slightest trepidation. He bent his body as a form of respect, before turning around and stepping out of the room.

Leaving Gerald with a thunderous chest held back the rising anger. How dare that woman talk to him like that!! Apparently he still hasn't been caught looking for things with her?! The woman was still unconscious as well, what could she do to the person who dared to challenge her?!!

PRAANG!!!

Gerald vent his anger by throwing things on his desk, until it fell scattered on the floor.

🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁

Trying to calm his emotions so as not to affect the baby he contains. Gently Dance stroked her distended stomach. Her pregnancy has reached the fifth month. So that his stomach already looks rounded and more prominent than before.

Suddenly the Dance's phone rang. A smile on her beautiful face, seeing a video call from her husband. Enthusiastically he raised the call.

"Hi"

"Hi, how are you? How's internship? You happy? You're putting an apprentice in that place?" The dawn smiled warmly.

Her handsome face dominates the screen of the Dance mobile phone. Makes her dirty mind to want to kiss her phone screen. In other words, kissing the handsome face of her husband who was always able to make her days become full of vigor.

But the question asked by the man made Dari become nervous and tense. He was confused as to what to answer. Should she tell her husband, that the company that became his apprentice belonged to his half-brother, who had never gotten along with him? Or was he silent, and there was no need to discuss the matter?

"Dance? How silent? What was? How come your face suddenly looks tense? You're doing okay, right? Or is there a problem there? Tell me" Dawn asked in surprise at his wife's suddenly tense attitude, and never answered her question. Even the woman looked dreamy. It made Dawn a little anxious.

"If you ask that slowly. How can I answer, if you keep snoring" Dance tried to joke around to cover up her real feelings of being tense and indecisive.

Dawn smiled faintly as her head shook to hear his wife's curse. "You can do it. His name is also worried. Yes, I will ask you constantly. It's your own fault, being asked and putting on a tense face. I'm not assuming anything. What the hell is going on? You're okay, right?"

While they were late in a pleasant conversation, suddenly Gerald passed by and listened to the conversation of the two of them filled with jokes and laughter. Instantly his steps stopped seeing the sight.

"Y-yes, I'm fine. I'm just exhausted. Probably baby-baby" Kilah Tari while stroking her round belly.

"Oh yeah, how's little doing? It's fine, right? He's not naughty and makes you vomit?" Dawn asked gently and attentively when hearing the baby's name being mentioned.

"No, he's a very good boy. He knew that his mother was studying now. So he did not do anything that made his mother troubled" Tari said with her cherry while again stroking her stomach.

"Thank God, then...." Dawn smiled with relief.

"Look!" Pekik Tari who made Dawn surprised.

"Dance? What was? You why?" Dawn cried with worry.

"It's okay. I just feel like, the baby is kicking" Tari said, instantly relieving Dawn anxiety. Even he laughed so happily.

"Hehe really? That means he's getting more active and agile. Too bad I wasn't there. I really want to feel his kick"
