Mentari for Dawn

Mentari for Dawn
CHAPTER 53 - Surprise Birthday Dance

On the way to the hospital, Fajar stopped by the cake shop first. He intends to buy his favorite cake, as a snack at work later.

"Doctor Dawn" The gentle voice of a girl who sounded familiar in his ears greeted, as Dawn was standing in front of the window waiting for his order. Dawn immediately turned her head and turned to look at the girl who was reprimanding him.

"Rancy. You here?" Dawn returned the girl's greeting with a friendly smile.

"How are you doing Doc? Long time no see" Ranty smiled widely.

"Thank God my good news. You yourself how are you? And.... What are you doing here? Buy cake?" Ask Fajar who then saw the box containing the cake in the girl's hand.

"yes Doc. This is me buying a cake for Dance"

"Cake for Dance? Is he eating cake? How come he didn't say anything to me?" Dawn frowned in confusion.

"Didn't the doctor know today's birthday dance?"

"Year date?"

"Yes. The doctor doesn't know? Now the doctor is her husband. Cook the birthday of the wife herself do not know?" Ranty asked in surprise.

"Yes, I don't know" Fajar replied shyly and nervously.

"You haven't opened your hearts yet? But I thought, after marriage, the feeling of love will grow by itself. Turns out... No sign yet, Doc?" Ranty complained with a bit of disappointment.

Dawn fell silent in response to the girl's chattering. Until now, his relationship with his wife still feels awkward and stiff. Although now the attitude of the woman had already changed towards him, it was no longer as fierce as it used to be.

But he still can not be sure, whether the woman has forgiven and accepted it or not. Especially after yesterday's incident, which until now he still has not apologized for his rude behavior.

"mmm... Now then, what are your plans, to buy that cake? You guys, want to have a birthday party?" Dawn asked nervously and curiously.

"mmm... I'm planning on having a dinner at my boarding school, Doc, tonight. So I want permission, invite Tari kekosan later tonight. How's Doc?" Ranty smiled persuadingly.

"Yes up to you. Why do I have to give permission?" Answer Rigid Dawn.

"Yes because right, now Tari is already the wife of Doctor. So I have to give permission to her husband first, if you want to take someone's wife" replied Ranty with a little flirting.

"And you know, if I can't possibly forbid Tari to meet anyone she wants? Because I don't feel I have a right to it"

"Kok the doctor spoke like that? You have become husband and wife. So yes obviously the doctor has full right to prohibit, or allow Dance. But.... Thank you Doc, for allowing it. Then I go first"

"Yes"

Ranty passed too. Leaving the dumbstruck Dawn after hearing her chatter. So today is the birthday dance? What kind of husband is he, who doesn't know his wife's birthday?

Although they are still not a real couple, but he is not possible, continue to behave like a stranger to his own wife.

After all, they were both married. What should he give her on her birthday?

Actually in his heart, Fajar wants him to drive himself to Dance. He also wanted to take part in the celebration of his wife's birthday.

But he tried to restrain himself, because he was afraid to make the woman feel uncomfortable and uncomfortable, if he continued to be intended by her. Especially when you get together with your best friend. Dance until home when nine o'clock more nights.

"Eh, is the madam home?" Miss Olives smiled to welcome Dance home and open her door.

"Yes Ma'am" Tari replied to the woman's reprimand with a big smile. It seems that she is very happy to have gathered, and is celebrating her birthday with her best friend.

"Mrs Dance what do you want to eat? Let me make it?" Olive Ma'am offered in a soft voice.

"Don't bother Mom. I'm full already. Had eaten a lot at Ranty's house" replied Tari with her sumring. He who never knew, that it turned out that Ranty had prepared a surprise birthday for him in his room. He himself forgot that today was his birthday.

"Oh, yes if that's what Madam wants. Better now Madam just rest ya"

"Yes Mom. I went to the room first"

"Yes"

Dance passed from before the middle-aged woman with a carefree and cheerful heart.

Dawn that had stood behind the wall, to see and listen to the conversation of two different generations of women secretly, was also happy to see the smile that emanated on his wife's face on his birthday. A smile that inexplicably made his heart feel light and peaceful.

During knowing Dari even to marry her, it felt like she rarely saw the woman smile. It seemed like he also had to give the birthday present and surprise to his wife. Yep.... Think of it as a gift of friendship.

The night changed with the morning. Dance awoke as she felt her eyes faintly glare, by the reflection of the light that was slipping through the cracks. He opened his eyes and looked at the wall clock, which had already shown the number eight past 15 minutes.

He believes Fajar must have gone to work. Dance breathed a disappointed breath. On her birthday, she also wanted to celebrate with her husband.

But how can it be? The man doesn't even know when his birthday is. This was her first birthday as a wife. But she was not the wife loved by her husband. Remembering the fact always made him feel disappointed.

In the middle of his mind that was bouncing with disappointment, suddenly he was stunned to see a paper bag that was on the mattress, beside his position that was sitting with a part of his body that was still wrapped in a blanket.

Dance knitted her brows in confusion. Why is there a paper bag on the bed? Whose is this? But if this belongs to someone else, there can't be in his room right?

Dari noticed a yellow sheet of paper on top of the paper bag. Curiously he grabbed the paper, and read the writing made using pen ink.

Good mornin. Have a good night's sleep. Earlier I apologized for what happened the other day. I'm sorry that I've been so angry with you. I have a reason to behave like that. I hope you can understand my attitude. Oh yeah, happy birthday. May you live long. And hopefully, whatever you want, can happen. Hope you like my gift. Because tonight I'd like to take you to dinner to celebrate your birthday. If you are willing, please wear that dress.
