"What do you want to talk to?" ask Ella. Ella's body was trembling. His right hand clasped tightly, the flower stalk he was holding. His heart was beating irregularly, but he could not run anymore.
"Can you really marry Albert?" ghina asked with tears in her eyes.
Ella exhaled. The teenage girl could not hide her sadness and disappointment in Ghina. But he also could not forbid his mother to make that decision.
"Mama's jealous because Albert keeps bringing women into his house?" guess Ella, cold sweat is pouring down Ghina's body.
"Eh, it's not like that. Mama was only hesitant to make a decision, thinking about you" Ghina said.
"Huh! What does Mama know about me? For fear of digosipin the kayak neighbor I told you first? Or out of fear that Al and I could not get along, because our age gap was not too far away," Ella's mind was a little upset.
"Can't you really?" whisky Ghina. He was very curious about his daughter's answer. Didn't Ella give him permission at the time?
"If Mama asks me one more time, then I will change my answer yesterday" Ella said, staring intently at her mother.
"Thank you, son," said Ghina. A smile was etched on his face. In her heart she promised to be a better mother to her only daughter.
"I hope you won't regret it and always be happy with your decision" Ella said as she placed a bouquet of flowers on her father's grave. "Papa must also be sad, seeing Mama who continues to fight alone since her departure," he continued.
"Oh, just give up. How long should I avoid this problem? Albert wouldn't look at me as a girl either" Ella thought. The wounds in his heart had already piled up too much, until he could not feel anything more.
...🥀🥀🥀...
After chatting with Ghina at the funeral, Ella and her mother continue their vacation without any difference. The two spent lunch together at his late father's favorite restaurant. They then went to the salon together, to pamper their bodies. By the time the sun went down, the two went home.
Although everything seemed smooth, Ella was still unable to withstand the turmoil in her heart. Time and time again he strengthened himself, in order to be able to get through all this turmoil.
"Papa must be happy to see mom happy. I have to, too," Ella told herself. "There was no longer a gap in Albert's heart for me, even though he didn't marry my mother. I have to be stronger. Didn't I promise to be a grown-up?" say Ella again.
The teenager took his phone, and deleted all his photos with the man, who had become his best friend. Ella also gathered all the items Albert had given her, to be destroyed. He was determined to erase all memories with the man.
A beaded bracelet, a pair of cute socks, a couple of coins from Japan, two pieces of postcards from Italy, a box of cute ribbons, a pink wallet and a few other things. Ella collected all of that into her old backpack.
"Ah, I just remembered! Those novel books were also from him, right?" Ella turned her gaze towards the shelf of her book. A series of translated novels by famous authors filled the shelves of old books left by his father.
"This is all Albert's gift?" peekik Ella looked at the pile of items on the floor. His backpack was no longer able to load the objects he collected. "Huh, I didn't expect. Apparently I'm so dependent on that guy that it gets this bad."
Ella sat on the floor staring at her room which was like a garbage dump. Almost all the closet had moved on the floor.
"Ck, does all this have to be thrown away? What a shame," muttered Ella. "Everything is good. Did I sell it, huh? That's a lot of money." Ella's mind began to drift.
