"Darling, are you awake?" Ghina knocked on her daughter's room door many times, but she did not hear an answer from inside.
"Son? Let's wake. It's dawn" call Ghina again.
Ella's room was still quiet and dark. Ghina turned the doorknob and tried to open it. Apparently Ella's bedroom door wasn't locked.
"Son, let's get up. It's dawn now" Ghina said softly. His hand opened the blanket that covered Bitna's body, to wake the seventeen-year-old. Ella squirmed and tried to open her sticky eyelids.
"Eh? You sleep in a school uniform? Is your body hot?" ghina was surprised.
"Ugh, Mama," muttered Ella. He narrowed his eyes, as Ghina turned on the room lights.
"You're a permit today. Mama will call your homeroom teacher" Ghina said to her baby.
"No, I have to go to school. Today there is a repetition of chemistry and Bahasa Indonesia. It's not good that tomorrow's follow-up in the teacher's room alone" Ella said.
"You have a fever, La. How do you want to go back?" ask Ghina.
"Later if you take the medicine will be better, really." Ella insisted on going to school.
"really? You didn't forget to take your medicine last night, did you?" Ghina circulated her gaze around the corner of her daughter's room. Suddenly Ghina's eyes bulged, looking at the plastic package on the desk of her daughter's study.
"Ella, didn't you eat last night? You don't take medication either?" ghina asked a little angrily.
"Well, I fell asleep, Ma," said Ella.
"Egypt? You should eat dinner right away and take your medicine before going to bed. You don't know? Mama was worried yesterday when Al said you fainted. The doctor says you're sick from being late for a meal, right?" Ghina nagged at her daughter. Ella just smiled at him.
"Ella, scolded why even a smile?" ghina Protest.
"I love to see Mama nagging again like this. I miss Mama" said Ella with a plain face.
"What, anyway? Strange, scolded I even like it. Mama's serious, La. You think nagging isn't energy?" ghina said while grunting in annoyance.
Ella hugged her mother's waist tightly. "I'm sorry, Ma. Always make Mama angry and worried" whispered Ella.
Ghina rubbed her daughter's fine hair. "Sorry Mama too, yeah. Mama is kind of like this because she loves you" Ghina said. "Now you change your clothes and pray at dawn first. We reheat the fried rice again, "Ghina asked.
"I don't want fried rice, Ma. Last night it was Al who forced me to buy it" Ella said. "I want to eat boiled noodles with eggs and lots of cayenne pepper" he added.
"Yes, let Mama masakin. Abis promised you'd take the medicine, yes" Ghina said. Ella nodded.
...🥀🥀🥀...
In the morning at school. Ella and her classmates are busy learning impromptu chemistry for a repeat later. They sat under a tree next to their class.
"What?" answer Ella.
"Well, look to the front page" Maira said again.
Ella turned her neck and looked at the schoolyard. The students who had just come back and forth parked their vehicles. A second later Ella's eyelids widened.
"God. Why is he here?" ella was upset.
"Cie... Cie... Cie... Ella... Who, tuh? Really," the girl's classmates cheered.
Ella half ran to the front yard of the school, to meet Albert. He felt ashamed being told that way. Especially if his friends know, the handsome guy is his future stepfather.
"Hi." Albert showed Ella his smile. The long-sleeved white shirt he used, made him even more charming.
"Ngapain, did he come here?" ella said with a ketus.
"Aren't you talking to her dad?" reprimand Albert.
"Dad? What dad? Not legal either." Ella put on a jutek face.
"Not legitimate? So it's approved and legal, huh?" Albert chuckled at Ella's sour face.
Jeder!!! "Yes God. My heart can explode when it looks at me like this" he murmured inwardly. Ella did not have time to dismiss Albert's words, because he was busy calming his heart.
The man before Ella grew even more handsome as he laughed. His sleeves were folded up to the elbows, making him look casual but also fasionable.
"Now, your book is left in the car." Albert passed a package book to Ella.
"Can you take it with your mom?" reply Ella.
"Fear you're wearing it. That's why I brought her here. Here, I bring the same polished resin getuk fry. If you don't want to, share it with your friends" Albert said.
"Tumben buy fried food is the same? Usually expensive cakes?" chirps Ella.
"I'm curious about your taste. Maybe you are bored with expensive cakes, so it is never eaten" said Albert.
"Thanks, yeah. Ella received the smelling plastic bag. Tomorrow don't come here again" Ella said.
"No promise. Hehe ... " Albert said with a wicked smile. "Udah, yes. I'm going first. The spirit is learning," continued the man. He then moved in front of Ella.
"Ghin, I'm from Ella's school. I think he's safe." Albert called Ghina after he got to his car. Ella doesn't know if Ghina asked Albert to check on him at school.
