Me Vs Flocking Mommy
Chapters 27. Wicked Mama!

"August, Papa. How's Papa doing today?"

A little boy clasped the hands of the man who was lying weakly on the hospital bed. The man simply closed his eyes, without responding to the greetings from his baby.

"Ella, you have to go to school right away, now. Otherwise, you'll be late" Ghina told her daughter.

"I don't want to go to school, Ma. I'd like to accompany papa here all day." The boy in a red and white uniform refused to go to school.

"Papa will be fine here. He must be sad if you're lazy to study" Ghina said.

"But I can study here, beside Papa. All my textbooks today I brought. I've always been first in class, too, haven't I?" The young girl was firm on her stance.

"Son, don't make Mama angry. After school, you can play here again. Now let's go down, Om Ganendra will take you to school" Ghina snapped.

Ella sulks with her mother's attitude. He put up his shoes, and went to the hospital lobby alone. Om Ganendra was already waiting there, to take him to school.

People say, the inner bond between the child and the parent is very close. Maybe that's what happened between Ella and her father. Having just started the first lesson in his class, the boy had already been picked up back by Om Ganendra.

"Bad mom! Why did Mom tell me to go to school? I can't see Papa one last time." Ella screamed hysterically. His father had been gone forever, without waiting for his presence.

"I'm sorry Mama, son. Mama didn't know that your father was leaving so soon" Ghina said, sobbing her sobs.

"Papa don't go. Papa don't leave me. I'll be lonely and miss Papa." The boy continued to cry hysterically, in front of his father's body which was stiffened.

"Son, here's Auntie's hug. Pray for your father, so he can leave quietly. Don't cry, son," Aunt Sri hugged little Ella tightly.

The little girl's eyeballs looked sharply at Ghina. But all his anger was gone, seeing his mother suffer more than him.

The woman's eyes dimmed. Empty views. Ghina's tears were no longer able to come out, though she whimpered bitterly. His body was trembling strongly. No husband will accompany her until old age. Now he must fight alone, raising their only child.

Srak! "Huh ... Huh ..." Ella sat on her bed. His body was moistened by sweat. His breath felt heavy and tight. "Why did I dream of Papa's departure? Is it because I've been thinking too much lately?"

...🥀🥀🥀...

"Hey... You guys have breakfast yet?" Ella put a box of cookies on her desk.

"Tumben bring the cake, La. What celebration, huh? Just paid, huh?" ask Naya with sparkling eyes.

"It's like an expensive cake? You got a job at a good place, huh?" timpal Maira and Imelda.

"No, kok. I still work at Daniel's cafe" Ella said. "Come dong, eat the cake," urged the girl.

"Don't tell me it's a cake from that handsome guy, huh?" chirps Maira.

"Sttt, Naya!" reprimand Naya by poking her friend's elbow.

"Hm... This is from him. That's why I brought it for you. I don't have an appetite" Ella said.

"What then? Cicipin a bit, here. Later nyesel, you know," persuaded Imelda.

"No. Thanks though. Mending I eat fried rice from the canteen mother" Ella said as she left. He actually went to the canteen to fill his still-empty stomach.

Meanwhile at home, Ghina gawks at the dining table. There is a tempting side dish of anchovy tempeh, vegetable pumpkin leaves and fried tofu. Inside the jar is a shrimp cracker that emits a seductive aroma. But it's not just that. Ella sets aside a box of cookies for herself.

"It's all for Mama. The cake was spent, yes," Ella wrote on a piece of paper.

"When did he prepare all this? He went to school early in the morning. Is this a protest, so I can stay away from Albert?" ghina's murmur was confused. He could not guess the contents of his own daughter's heart.
