Reasons That Are Painful, But They Stay Happy In The End

It was late when the double date ended. Yes ... Tony's assistant with Amanda, and let's just say Ranu is dating Riko. They look like happy families.

"The most enjoyable day and holiday I've ever had, ma'am." Riko could not bear to smile. It was nice to bother the old man today. Ranu has been sleeping in Riko's arms since.

Amanda smiled towards Riko, her eyes clearly glancing at Tony. "It's all been a pleasure for me, son. But maybe, yeah, we'll have a vacation back together."

Assistant Tony moved disapprovingly among the anger his face showed. He doesn't need a vacation together, let alone with Riko. He wants to vacation together. Who knows, at the end of his age, he could be a husband.

"Oh, if I'm willing, ma'am. I don't know about those guys, he doesn't seem to like it. Maybe the Maldives isn't the destination for a family vacation." Riko glancing jokes.

"But I can help prepare for marriage for free if you want to get married when you arrive in Indonesia." Riko added, her smile that is so sweet adorns the hard face of a Riko.

He's not usually so friendly, but maybe today was special for him. Meet his foster mother.

"But if she doesn't want to, I'd like to marry you too, ma'am. You're still—astaga!"

Tony's assistant hit Riko's head hard. The look of dislike instantly adorned his face.

Amanda laughs. "Easy."

"Riko's words you can consider." Tony's assistant finally made a sound after successfully mastering himself and made Riko grimace until her face reddened.

"If it's too late, but .. I don't think there's any harm." The old man looked down as he said. His face feels very hot.

"I mean, considering my same marriage?" Riko interrupted. He looks plain.

Tony's assistant twisted the body while raising his hand. A slap landed back on Riko's head, making the man grimace and complain.

Tony's assistant's lips instantly let out a silent mockery. "Daddy!"

Amanda gave a small laugh, which was immediately covered with the back of her left hand. "At my age, getting married is not an urgent matter, Tony. I have kids and everything I want. So if getting married just makes our relationship bad, what do we do?"

Tony's assistant was still mocking Riko as Amanda said. The man's face pias. However, he turned around to look at Amanda. Is this the story that he was rejected?

"I got married because I wanted to, not because of people's accusations or even the insistence of one of the parties." Amanda calmly continued. The look on the woman's face showed absolutely no lies or even arrogance. It's just a strong principle that makes it look special.

Riko curious. What basic and backing model makes a beautiful and seemingly most wanted woman reject an established male proposal and well, pretty good looking too? Is it enough? Got another guy—but apparently not?

Riko glanced at Assistant Tony. Waiting for the man's reaction diligently and patiently, even though it feels like his shoulders and chest have felt like breaking because of Ranu.

"Whatever your decision, I accept." Tony's assistant unhesitatingly grabbed Amanda's hand and held it. "If we don't, we won't stand here and joke."

Riko's eyebrows shot up while her head was broken to the side. Her lips said 'wew' because she was so shocked that she was also fascinated.

"I have to go home, maybe we can meet on summer vacation." Amanda was so hopeful with her eyes.

"If there's an age, I'll go there. I miss our Claudia." Tony smiled then reached out behind Amanda's back without touching her. In plain sight, Tony just led Amanda to the car.

"I'm sorry that Claudia was so cold to you. I've been trying to get him to accept you." Amanda was sorry for one thing. All this time, he always said that Tony was his biological father, they just didn't get married because of some things that were very difficult to work on. But that doesn't mean the two of them didn't devote their full affection to Claudia.

"You've done your best, Manda .. don't think too much." Tony is trying to understand. Here he is the most guilty as a man. Supposedly, the events of that night never happened. Riko went back to the bathroom and took a shower. As he exited the bathroom, the man he called 'Sir' sat down and pensively looked at the window. The burden of the man's mind looked heavy.

Riko felt guilty interrupting the man's date.

"Amanda is an SQ analyst at a diamond company." Tony's assistant suddenly spoke up which brought Riko closer to Tony's Assistant. He was intent on making amends for his mistake last afternoon.

"Amanda is very capable and has strong instincts. Thorough and observant. The company was so reliant on Amanda that it would raise the salary many times over for Amanda to survive." Tony remembered.

"At first I was ready to leave to take care of Claudia. But Amanda forbid. Claudia will be safe with him. He doesn't want me to lose my future just because of a baby."

Riko was still listening.

"As a child, Claudia and I were very close. He called me dad. But over time, Claudia made some distance. But not rejecting me either."

Riko understood the reason Claudia behaved like that. He can't blame anyone.

"Amanda cried every time she told Claudia. He regretted refusing my offer to marry me. But over time, Amanda began to accept Claudia's attitude. He accepted it as a punishment and a reminder of how stupid he was back then. But I understand the pressure and the weight on his shoulders. He just doesn't want me to be the object of his family's extortion."

Riko sighed. They sacrifice each other for the sake of the other. Actually, this was sad but Riko felt they had strong bound feelings. It's so sweet. So he started imagining Claudia and her son. One of the superior seeds. Strong characters are usually attached to posterity.

"I'm sorry I interrupted your date, sir." Riko lowered her head to hide regret, but her voice could not lie at all.

"Don't be stupid!" Tony's assistant turned his head and laughed without a sound. "If there's no one, I can't even talk at all. And your presence makes the atmosphere liquid. Honestly, we rarely meet in person. Last time was Claudia's wedding day. The rest we just exchanged messages. I'm too embarrassed to face Amanda."

Riko turned her head quickly, as she was unsure of the man's words. Does he really not get angry? Oh, thank goodness. Though he thought all the ignorance that happened, it was outrageous.

"I'd like to see my granddaughter in person, if until next summer I'm still given age." Tony crept up with a wry smile.

"Your wishes will be fulfilled. I'm sure Claudia will be there too, Father." Riko somehow felt very sad and wanted to cry. This short story made him determined to realize the dreams of the adoptive father.
