Marrying My Ex-Husband's Boss

Marrying My Ex-Husband's Boss
First Jealousy

The car Harris was driving drove across the still congested road. Warm sunlight that refracts, unable to penetrate the glass. Inside, it felt cold, moreover the two people were only slightly conversing.

"Are you tired?" Harris asked, after being silent for some time. He did not remove his hand from his wife's fingers.

"Slightly," answered Kira lazily and indistinctly.

"What did you say too? Are you tired after walking too long?" Harris looked at his grim wife. He himself did not know what caused his wife's mood to change that quickly.

"Do you want anything?" Harris asked again when Kira did not look at him at all let alone follow his words. Harris thought, Kira was either eating something or wanting something. Honestly, Harris was looking forward to it. He said, there is a challenge when conquering the strange will of pregnant women who are cravings.

Some things Harris had already prepared, if his wife asked for midnight food. Starting from contacting his friend who has a restaurant, the owner of the donut who some time ago liked Kira, and Johan now lives in the Dirgantara residence. Anticipation is made so that his wife's wishes are fulfilled. However, for a month, Kira wanted nothing.

"Darling, what's wrong with you?" Harris pulled the car over when Kira didn't answer her question. Even he turned further and further away.

He gently rubbed his wife's head. Harris forced his wife's shoulder, but still remained soft. After all, he was afraid of getting his wife hurt.

Harris was confused, how could a moment ago Kira still carve her sweet smile and now she was silent as if there was glue on her lips.

Harris sighed, he had to ask Vivian about this very sudden change of emotions.

"Say-,"

"Road Bang! You want to make me hot?" Kira throws her head like a race car at Harris. Lightning-fast. Followed by the gaze that was able to make Harris pull the gear lever of his car. Release the clutch and step on the gas pedal without cue a second time.

"Yes greetings" murmured Harris who was still holding onto his chest. His heart was still pounding as he remembered the deathly gaze of his wife he had just seen for the first time.

Along the way, Harris glanced at his wife who was still enjoying the street view. He saw, Kira occasionally smiled when he saw the ranks of street vendors, or fruit neatly beaten by the seller. Until when stopped at a red light, Kira like wiping his lips when he saw a mango in the yard of the house not far from his current position.

Without thinking, Harris sent a message to ART at home to prepare mangoes that are already available. What if a pregnant woman likes, she is prepared.

"Darling, what don't you want to eat?" Harris asked broke the silence. He was very uncomfortable when Kira ignored him.

"How about we go to Ivy's cafe?" Connect Harris. Although he was very upset, but Harris still tried to soften he said. The sweet ones will usually make the mood better, Harris thought.

Without asking much more, Harris turned his car to the Ivy cafe that was already visible from the distance earlier.

The cafe is new to open, but there are already some visitors who meet almost half of the available seats.

"My dear," Shouted someone with his trademark tone from the direction of the pantry. Honestly, Kira misses this place. Tearful.

"Hey, are you so skinny? Just getting kicked every day?" Ivy was still 3 to 4 steps away from Kira when saying that. Not only one or two people turned their heads, but almost all of the residents of the cafe heard Ivy's words clearly.

Harris was as usual, indifferent, without even greeting Ivy, he sat down in front of the bar table. Snatch the menu book and start reading it.

"Don't talk anymore!" Kira smothers Ivy's triumphant grin as Harris fortifies herself with her attitude.

"You want your ears to still function as they should, right?" Kira reminded Ivy, it could be the last sentence Ivy could hear. Ivy only chuckled as Kira let go.

"Your husband is tame as I am! There's no way he'd dare to snap at me!" Ivy stamped his best friend's nose with anxiety. She led her friend to the high chair next to her husband. Harris had just put down the phone after texting Vivian, as Kira sat by her side.

"Gelato felt bubble gum," Kira brandished her two fingers. I don't know, it's just that smell that feels thick in his sense of smell.

"Same on!" Harris said as Ivy looked at him. Ivy passed after hinting "okay" with his fingers.

Kira glanced at the cynical her husband who was propping up her head. Both eyes were ceaselessly looking at him.

Harris repeatedly sighed heavily. A smile never leaves his lips. He immediately asked what made him moody. However, he held him back, waiting until the gelato had a happy effect on his wife.

Ivy placed two servings of blue and pink gelato in front of the two people. "Your tumbens eat food like this in the morning?"

Of course, that question was reserved for Harris, even though Ivy was looking at Kira.

"Oh, my mood is suddenly bad! Maybe one or two gelato scoops, will make me feel better," Harris nonchalantly stuffed the gelato into his mouth.

Ivy sneered, she understood what Harris meant, "Good fun then, I'll stay a while!"

Harris put down a spoon and grabbed a tissue to clean up the remaining gelato splattered on the corner of his wife's lips.

"Darling, don't tease me like that, here are a lot of people!" His whisper after wiping Kira's lips. He meant to flirt but once again, a deathly gaze swept over Harris as it seemed to leave a crossed scar on his chest.

"Gelato is useless," Harris growled inwardly as he pressed the cold, soft food with his spoon. To make a clink that almost split the bowl in two.

Kira enjoyed the meal in a relaxed manner. Wanting to feel he added one more serving, but considering how the baby reacted, he chose to stand and leave the cafe without saying goodbye first to his best friend.

Harris soon followed Kira after saying goodbye to Ivy. The heat of the sun that hit his wife's face, making her forehead sparkling. However, Harris's steps came to a halt as his phone rang. Harris hurriedly looked at the phone that was still within his grasp. Apparently Vivian. After answering the phone, Harris immediately opened the door for his wife who was increasingly bending her face.

Harris was only able to catch her breath, when once again she was as if she was talking to a living statue. Moreover, when he got home, Kira slammed the car door hard.

"Gosh," Harris scooped up his rough face over and over again. "It's a good thing she's pregnant with my son, if not, I've made breathing difficult."

Harris clenched his teeth while looking at his wife until she was swallowed by the door.

Harris today works from home, apart from being very late in the day there is also nothing so urgent to finish. But even so, he remained inside the study until dinner arrived.

"Bi, how is the mango still intact? Hasn't Kira had lunch since lunch?" Harris found the peeled mango still intact in a closed box.

"Miss doesn't like mangoes, sir. The lady had brought other fruits besides mangoes, "Aibi Mai stopped her activities for a moment. He looked at Harris softly.

Harris sighed, before pulling out a chair and sitting on it. "Bi, are pregnant women irritable?"

Aunt Mai smiled, her hands holding the back of the chair, "Pregnancy hormone that causes the mood to change faster, Sir. You have to be patient!"

Harris stared at the empty glass, "I mean, did it all just happen for no reason?"

"Even a grain of sand can make a pregnant woman's emotions unstable, sir. Maybe you unknowingly offended Miss." Aunt Mai was still loyal with her soft voice.

Harris was confused. Whahuh? When's? Harris is dead-end. He felt frustrated, not only did he not like being ignored by his wife, but he also felt lonely when the usually talkative woman suddenly went silent. She missed his embrace, she missed the little kiss on his face, at least, that was her solace and fatigue relief.

Harris rubbed his forehead into his two eyes that were tired after doing a video meeting with employees and colleagues.

"Mom, Miss is going to have dinner in the room" said one of the ART's who seemed to have just come from the room where Kira was.

"Prepare immediately and deliver to Miss's room" Aunt Mai's orders to the Art.

Harris raised his face, perhaps he could have melted his wife by delivering her dinner.

"Prepare the food, Bi. Let me just take him to the room!" Aunt Mai nodded in understanding, she quickly arranged some light and refreshing food menu. Not to forget the small bowl of rice he included, maybe Nonanya want to eat rice that is still steaming.

"Let me take it to the front door, sir!" Pinta one of the Art's very polite.

"No need, Bi! Let me be alone!" Harris got up and lifted a tray that gave off an appetizing scent. Harris had to hold her saliva, smell this scent, make her drool.

Since Kira was pregnant, Harris also gained weight, although she always exercised every day, but she ate twice as much, also she was very fond of rice. I don't know, don't eat rice, like there's less. It is similar to his wife's habits.

Harris opened the door slowly, when he saw his wife sitting with her legs stretched out on the bed, she was leaning against her cell phone.

Kira who was initially smiling, slowly faded after seeing Harris coming in.

"Darling, eat yuk!" Harris placed the tray on the table, before approaching his grimly whining wife.

"Why did you bring the food?" Kira looked at her husband full of hostility. Dislike was once on his face.

"Darling," Harris sat sideways next to his wife, facing Kira who was throwing her face away.

Harris pulled his wife's face on her chin, forcing the two pairs of eyes to look at each other.

"Honey, why are you silencing Brother? Is there something wrong with you?" Harris asked with gentleness. Remove the hair that fell on his wife's face. Harris thought, beautiful, but fierce. Unknowingly Harris smiled.

Kira ventured to look at her husband, a soft fragrance emanating from her husband's body, making him feel a sense of peace. Kira weighed for a moment, for some reason, she was so annoyed to see her husband so attentive to Vivian. Even to the point of ignoring her, who was already overheated, only to answer the phone from Vivian.
