Ice Without Rubber

Aruna looked at her husband who was busy with his laptop. Lais is currently working inside their room. Since Aruna became pregnant, Lais asked Mr. Munir to put a desk and chair in his room.

Lais's eyebrows repeatedly wrinkled the sign she was thinking out loud. His long breath was repeatedly heard.

What makes it feel like carrying a heavy burden?

" Dear! Do you have a name for your child?" Aruna approached Lais and massaged her shoulders. "I'm really, really, a lot of thoughts, huh?" the whisper was close to Lais' ear.

Lais smiled.He held Aruna's hand."Rest up! I'm not papa."

"No papa, how many times do you take a deep breath?"

Lais turned her chair. He then pulled Aruna's body and placed it in his lap.

'It's heavy." God.

"Yes it's heavy. There's two of your children in here." Aruna pursed her lips making Lais chuckle.

But it was only for a moment. A moment later his face returned grim.

"That's it!" Aruna straightened Lais's furrowed brows. "Don't think too hard. I'm sure you're able to get through this because my husband is an amazing man." comforted Aruna.

Aruna did not force Lais to tell a story because it was useless. Lais will definitely tell you if you feel the need. .

"Darling, I have a funny story. Wanna hear?"

Lais nodded while stroking Aruna's stomach.

"This is my story when I haven't met you. So the story goes that I was asked by my stepmother to buy young coconut ice. Then my stepmother asked her to buy one complete young coconut ice, then just two packs of black water. Well what's funny is the seller said this, neng the complete green rubber yes, the red rubber that water only. Haha. Funny right? Even though without being distinguished by rubber, I know which is complete which is water. The plastic is clear. Haha." Aruna laughed.

Lais just silently watched Aruna.

"Cock you're not laughing? Not funny, is it?"  Aruna looked at Lais while scratching her head. His face looked foolish because his joke was considered crisp by Lais.

"Maha." Lais chuckled at Aruna's look.

Seeing Lais laughing, Aruna also laughed. He did not realize that Lais laughed at him, not because of his story. That made Lais laugh more.

Aruna who was wondering why her husband was laughing so hard stopped her laughter. Lais looked at him with a confused face.

Lais painstakingly tried to stop her laughter.

"You go down first.My stomach hurts." said Lais still with the rest of his laughter.

Aruna came down from Lais' lap.

"Squeaky. But not very funny. Didn't you laugh at first? Why is it so hard to stop now?" muttered Aruna while staring fixedly at Lais who was still trying to control himself so as not to laugh anymore.

Lais did not dare to look at Aruna because every time he saw Aruna he would remember Aruna's look.

"Funny kok hahah funny haha so funny hahaha."

Aruna pouted because Lais did not also stop her laughter.

"Bodo ah's. Just keep laughing. I'm going to sleep." he left Lais and stepped into his bed.

Lais turned her chair back to face her laptop. Sometimes he laughs while doing his job.

"Darling! What the hell are you doing?!!" shouted Aruna who was irritated by Lais' attitude.

Lais waved her hand. "Nothing. Just imagining the stupid face of the ice seller." Lais replied then again heard his laughter softly.

Aruna scratched her head. He remembered his story.

I didn't tell him about the ice vendor's face, how he could imagine his stupid face. Bodo ah's. Mending sleeping. At least he can laugh. May the pressure in his mind be lessened. 

Aruna laid down her body and prepared to sleep.

At midnight, Aruna felt her sleep was disturbed. She slowly opened her eyes and was shocked to see her husband open his sleeping pajamas.

"Darling, what do you want?' ask her with a distinctive hoarse voice of waking up.

"I work till midnight and get thirsty. Now I want to drink his young coconut ice plus milk without rubber and plastic." he whispered followed by drowning his face in Aruna's chest. Apparently not only was Lais thirsty, she was also hungry. After drinking young coconut ice plus milk, he continued by eating their bikang cake.
