The Lost Burden

"Ma!" Lais repeated her call. Step by step he approached his mother.

Madam Robert could no longer hold back her tears. Granules of clear granules began to fall on both of his cheeks.

"Ma, I'm sorry Lais." Lais hit Madam Robert. She hugged him. "I'm sorry Lais didn't realize how much of a sacrifice mommy made for Lais. Forgive the selfish Lais and feel the most pain. I'm sorry..." Lais continued.please while tightly hugging her mother's body.

Madam Robert's body was trembling. His hand held the arm of Lais that was coiled around his body.

"You're not wrong. Ma'am who should apologize.Lais, if time can be repeated, mama will not act stupid like that." said Mrs Robert on the sidelines.

"No. Mama did everything for Lais. Lais knows that. My mom suffered too, right? Seeing Lais' condition and also papa's unfaithfulness. It was my mother who suffered the most. You have to hide the crying behind the smile. Pretending happy. I'm sorry Lais didn't know it all, Ma."

Madam Robert let go of Lais' embrace. He then turned his body to face Lais. On Lais's face. "Mama is willing to do anything for you. For your happiness."

They then embraced back.

"Go home M!" Take Lais and hug Madam Robert.

Madam Robert pulled her body. He again stroked the face of his only son.

"Mama is here. Mama will pray for you from here" said Mrs Robert. "Where do you want to take your mom home anyway? Aren't you still in Revan's apartment?" Madam Robert smiled.

"Lais plans to rent an apartment, Ma. Mama can go with Lais" said Lais persuading Mrs Robert. "Aruna must be so happy that mommy can live with us."

"Where will Munir and Bu Ira live? As you know the mama apartment in Revan's place isn't there only two rooms?" back Madam Robert smiled.

"It's about easy ma. What matters is that mommy comes along first." Lais dropped her face on Madam Robert's lap.

"Darling, my mom is here. You try. Mama will pray for you. Remember, mama's here waiting for you to pick up when you succeed. Make this your spirit, son!" said Mrs Robert. He said so because he knew Lais' condition and did not want to burden Lais.

"But, Ma?" said Lais. Madam Robert nodded.

"After all here mama is needed by Mak Nah. She helped mom so mom had to return the favor by helping with her effort."

"Now is Mr Munir's friend?" Lais.

"Yes. It used to be that this store almost went bankrupt and mom helped Mak Nah build it. It's like finding a new world here. Mama's happy."

"Papa?"

Madam Robert sighed. "Let him think. Which one he will choose. That woman or us."

Lais nodded, "Mama's right. I will always support your decision."

"Come on! Revan and the others must be waiting for you in front right?"

Lais nodded back. He stood up and helped Mrs Robert get up from her seat.

He also cleaned the flour that soiled his hair and face as well as his mother's clothes.

"Thank you" said Mrs Robert happily received the attentive and affectionate treatment from Lais who had been missing from her life long enough since she ran away from home.

While being guided by Lais, Mrs Robert came out of the kitchen.

"Mrs!" Revan greeted him and kissed the back of Mrs Robert's hand.

"Thank you, Van for always being by Lais' side" Mrs Robert said.

"He's my brother's mistress, so wherever and wherever I'll always be with him." replied Revan. Lais punched her shoulder with a smile.

"Just.." Revan's words hung.

"Why Van?" Madam Robert furrowed her brows.

"Mrs. Tell him not to always prank me." He complained to Mrs Robert.

Everyone who heard Revan's words laughed except Lais. He turned towards Revan.

"Whose son is it? Why are you complaining?" spray Lais.

"No, madam. After he recovered he became even more fierce." Revan complained again.

Lais raised her fist.

Everybody laugh.

"It has. You guys are like kids. Van, Mr. Munir, I'm nitip Lais on you."

"Mrs didn't come home with us?" ask Revan

Revan looked at Lais. Lais moved her head slightly.

"Okay, ma'am." replied Revan.

"It's noon. You guys are leaving!" said Mrs Robert.

"Yes, Ma. I'm saying yes. Take good care of yourself." Lais hugged and kissed her mother's hand.

"Come up, say hello to Aruna, When you get there, call me. Mama misses him." Mrs Robert's message.

After saying goodbye, Lais and Revan came out. Mr. Munir approached Mrs Robert. "Miss, for the money?"

"Stay on Mr. Munir's original plan. He wouldn't wear it if he knew it was from me. I know my son." replied Mrs Robert.

"Alright, Mistress. I'm saying goodbye." Mr. Munir bowed respectfully. He also nodded as a sign of goodbye to Mak Nah, "Titip Madam." said Mr. Munir.

Mak Nah smiled.

Finally Lais, Revan and Mr. Munir continue their journey. Lais looked happier as if a heavy burden had been lifted from her.

"Master! Wake up!  we're having lunch!"  Mr. Munir wakes up Lais and Revan who are asleep during the trip.

Lais squirmed and opened her eyes. He looked out and saw the restaurant where they had lunch when they left first.

"That?" he said while pointing at someone who entered the restaurant.

"Rendy? Why is he here?" Revan also wakes up and sees Rendy talking. Revan quickly opened the car door and exited. Lais did the same.

"THE REN!!!" call Revan while waving his hand.

Rendy. He waved his hand as he looked at Revan. Reavan ran over to Rendy.

"How are you, bro?" Revan hugged Rendy.

"Well." answered Rendy.

"Where then? After dropping off Megar there's no news?" Revan punched Rendy

Rendy blushed while looking down.

"How are you doing Ren?" Lais extended her hand inviting Rendy to shake hands.

Rendy doesn't believe in Lais' friendly attitude. He welcomed Lais's hand. "Okay sir" he said stuttering.

"Call Lais" said Lais. "You're Revan's best friend means my friend too" Lais smiled.

Rendy looked at Revan. He saw Revan smiling while raising his eyebrows.

"Let's eat together." Take Lais. It precedes them to enter the restaurant.

"She turned out well too." whispered Rendy to Revan.

"Hmmm you don't know yet, besides well he's also nosy like to do people." Revan replies.

"HEM!" Lais cleared her throat loudly while sitting down.

Revan and Rendy were silent and sat at the same table.

"Sir Munir?" ask Lais.

"Oh, let me call him." Rendy stood up. He knows, Mr. Munir deliberately did not come with them because surely he wanted to see him.

"Why aren't you waiting in line?" ask Lais.

"Wait you. Afraid of a wrong message." Revan answered honestly. Lais tetawa lirih.

"I'm scared too. Just wait for Munir. He knows the food better here." replied Lais

The two of them laughed and realized their stupidity. It turns out that for certain things they lost to Mr. Munir.
