The door to the room is open. Master Robert instantly closed his eyes and lay quietly.
"Still sleeping." Aruna took Lais' hand.
"No papa. I just want to make sure she's okay." Lais takes Aruna closer to her papa.
Once close, Lais checked her papa's intravenous fluids and oxygen hose. He fixed the location of the slightly shifted oxygen hose.
"Mr Robert looks older than ever." Aruna looked at Mr. Robert's face.
God fucking. This village girl is calling me old.
"Maybe it's the disease that's lodged in her body." Lais replied while observing the face of her papa.
"You know, baby, when you were young, I was most afraid to look into his eyes."
"Why?"
"His eyes were very sharp and cold. If I look at him, I feel like I'm in a really scary place. A dark and quiet place. That's why I rarely look papa in the eye, and it often makes papa angry especially if he invites me to talk but I don't look him in the eye." Lais sighed remembering her childhood.
So that's why.
"The more angry I get the more scared. Plus, it made me build my own world. As a kid, only Revan and Risa were my friends."
"Not to be remembered. You are not like that." Aruna stroked Lais' arm.
"You've turned into a caring and warm person. Especially for our child. Aw. uh they kicked. They justify my words apparently."
Lais stroked Aruna's stomach.
"Calm down, son! Don't let your mommy's stomach."
"It seems they also want to meet his grandfather. Unfortunately his grandfather did not want to accept them." muttered Aruna sadly.
"Not be sad."
"I wish Mr. Robert would accept them. Even if I do not accept me, as long as I receive this blood of your flesh, I am sincere." whispered Aruna.
This lady.
"Lais, Aruna, Mama to the hotel for a minute! Take a shower and change clothes."
Madam Robert came in with Mak Nah.
"Yes ma."
"Mama for a minute. Soon come back here again."
"Ma! Mama rest first! Let Aruna take care of Mr. Robert." Aruna touched Madam Robert's shoulder.
"Yes, Ma. I'm the same Aruna will be here. Mama rest first! Some days mama's not resting well."
"All right then. Mama's afternoon back. Mama go first." Madam Robert hugged Aruna and Lais alternately. He then came out of the room accompanied by Mak Nah.
"Darling! We sit down yuk! You must be tired of standing still." Lais guided Aruna to a seat.
Why don't they come out. If so, how long should I pretend to sleep. If I wake up, what should I tell Lais and the village girl?
"Darling, what about that lady?" asked Aruna while leaning her head on Lais' chest.
Mr. Robert re-attached his ears to listen to the chatter of Lais and Aruna.
"Who?" Lais stroked Aruna's head.
"That's. Lady Angela."
Why is this woman asking Angela?
"I'll give her the right to her son."
The kid?
"What if he's not your father's son?"
My kid? Is Angela pregnant? But how can it be? I haven't touched it in a long time.
"If that happens, I will only give what was originally his. But won't give papa a dime of assets."
What does Lais mean? I need to talk to him.
Mr. Robert decided to end his sleep acting. He squirms.
"Darling, your father woke up." Aruna pointed with her eyes.
"Master! You're awake?'" Lais didn't call papa. He remembers when his father kicked him out.
"Is that how you talk to your father?" said Mr. Robert coldly. His eyes stared at Lais sharply.
"Aren't you the one who broke off with me?"
Sir Robert snorted.
Tok tok tok tok
"Sorry Mister. It's time for lunch." a nurse came in while carrying a meal ration for Mr. Robert.
"Please enjoy and after eating you should take your medicine! Excuse me."
"Thank you, Sus." Aruna thanked him as the nurse came out of the room.
"Master eat first!" Lais put the food in Robert's lap and left it. He sat down next to Aruna.
Mr. Robert looked annoyed at his son.
"Darling, your father can eat by himself. His right hand has an infusion tube." Aruna spoke slowly.
"could. He can live alone can certainly do everything himself." - Lais.
"Darling, don't be. There! Bribe your papa!" Aruna ruled with a movement of her head.
Lais stared in disbelief as Aruna told her to feed Mr. Robert. While Mr. Robert tried to eat by himself using his right hand. Seems like it's very complicated. Many times the food he took fell back because his right hand attached to the hose was not free to move.
"Darling, look at him! Poor thing."
"Ck." Lais finally woke up. However hardened he was, he still could not see the person who carved his body in trouble.
Without speaking, Lais took the place of food from Mr. Robert's lap. He then raised his hand to ask for a spoon held by Mr. Robert.
"You will, not me who asks" said Mr. Robert haughty as he put a spoon in Lais' palm.
" If it wasn't for the sake of pleasing my wife, I wouldn't do this either." Lais replied no less coldly.
Aruna shook her head.
Father and son are the same.
Lais shoved a spoon full of food to Mr. Robert. The middle-aged man just stared at the spoon in front of his mouth and then turned to look at Lais.
Lais moved her hand to ask Mr. Robert to open his mouth. Mr. Robert even melengos.
She thinks I'm what. That much food.
Aruna who was impatient to see the interaction of the two got up and approached them.
"If that's how much will your papa eat? Does your papa have to open his mouth wide like a hippo?" said Aruna gave understanding Lais and subconsciously he even put Mr. Robert like a hippo.
What?!?This village lady even likens me to a hippo.
Lais laughed in her heart. He knew Aruna was doing it unconsciously.
Aruna took the spoon from Lais' hand. He reduced the contents of the spoon and gave it to Lais. Lais received it and held out a spoon.iti into Mr. Robert's mouth. This time Master Robert opened his mouth and accepted Lais' bribe.
Aruna again filled the spoon and gave it to Lais to feed to Mr. Robert. The two men repeatedly fed Mr. Robert.
"Even, enough!" Sir Robert raised his hand.
Aruna took water and medicine. He gave it to Lais. Without a word, Lais thrust the two objects at Mr. Robert. Mr. Robert took a glass filled with water and medicine. With one gulp he took the medicine.
This woman!"
"Darling, let's sit down. From earlier you stood must have been achy feet." Lais guides Aruna back to her couch.
"Lais!" Mr. Robert's voice stopped Lais's steps. Lais.
"Speak to your papa! I'll wait outside." whispered Aruna. But just as he was about to step out, Mr. Robert stopped him.
"No need to get out."
Lais and Aruna looked at Mr. Robert who turned his face away. They don't believe Mr. Robert would let Aruna hear him talk to Lais.
