The Part 90

"You sent my wife where!“ Azri almost snapped.

Mahendra calmly closed his book, he had predicted this would happen once his only son knew his wife was not home.

"Where is your manners toward your own father?"

"I'm sick of being stale with you. Now answer my question, where did you send my wife? You're the one who told him to, under that fucking deal?!"

Azri's words made her father blink in shock. The man immediately stood up with a calm expression. "You already know that."

Azri hated to see his father's calm demeanor. The man was always cold-hearted. He never likes his strong-mannered reaction when faced with anything. Even at his mother's funeral, his father did not cry. Even if the back knows the reason, he still doesn't like it.

"You must know where Widya is going" Azri accused of being cold and sharp.

"Even though I know I won't tell you," Dad replied no less coldly.

"Why?!"

"Because he should have left. In accordance with that agreement.“

Azri widened his eyes. His hands clenched tightly until his knuckles turned white. He was urged to destroy whatever was around him.He was furious at how easily his happiness was destroyed by his own father.

"Why did you do that to Widya! why did you ask her to marry me if you finally kicked her out with that deal?!"

Azri's voice echoed in the room illuminated by the yellowish light. However, the shout did not change his father's expression in the slightest. The man remained ice cold.

"You want to know the real story? The reason why I did all this to you?"

Real reason? Azri squinted. "If it's about your business and your debts to GN Group I won't accept it as an excuse!"

Mahendra was again made wild. "Do you know about that debt?"

"So that's why you're doing all this? Told me to marry Widya so that I would be willing to be the CEO of Pradipta Group. I also suspect Lia's appearance was also part of your rotten plan. Do you want to sell me to them? All of those things you did to pay off the company's debts to the GN Group?"

The man could not accept the cynical words of his only son anymore. “Do you think I'm a parent who would exchange his child for money? Blame your nature for always being against your own father!"

Azri was surprised because for the first time he heard his father yell that angry.

"I do want to pay off those debts, but not by selling you to Lia, daughter of President Gn who has a face similar to your former lover!" those words left Azri speechless. He choked.

"What does Lia have to do with all this?“

"You don't know? Has Widya not said that Lia should be your wife?"

"What?" Azri was shocked. What other facts did he hear?

"Before I told you to marry Widya, Lia came to ask me to pay off the company debt immediately. I was surprised when I first saw her, she looked a lot like Yuna. But then he said that he knew something about Yuna. He came to avenge Yuna by using those debts and threatening me. If he doesn't pay off the debt immediately, he'll take the company and report me to prison on murder charges."

"Murder?" Azri widened his eyes.

His father seemed to massage his temple, he then told me in detail about what he had done first to Yuna so that the girl decided to die on the voyage. Azri was completely at a loss for words to hear him. Whether he should be angry or not, he was already confused as to what kind of reaction he had again.

"You've threatened Yuna, making Yuna let go of my hand that day. He must have been very tormented" muttered Azri grievously. "Then what is the relationship of Yuna and Lia, they are just similar. After all she's the daughter of a wealthy billionaire while Yuna-“

Azri widens eyes. It seemed like he could see a match between Lia and Yuna.

The father looked sadly at his son as if he could read the implied meaning of his astonished expression. "What if it turns out they are separate twin brothers? The president of GN never said he had two daughters. He was divorced from his wife for a long time. Yuna could have grown up with her mother."

"But Yuna has been living in an orphanage since she was four years old."

"Maybe something happened to her mother that made Yuna stay in the orphanage. I'm sure Lia knew about her twin sister and was looking for information about her whereabouts and when she was found, Yuna was dead. With a little bit of investigation he can figure out my connection to Yuna's death. I can understand why he's so vengeful of me and he's using the company's debt to threaten me."

"And what does he get if you want to avoid that debt?"

The atmosphere became stiff for a while. Mahendra could not bear to tell Azri what he was going to say but Azri had to know.

"You."

With a heavy heart she continued, “Lia wants to marry you if I want those debts paid off."

Azri was like he had just dropped from the sky when he heard it. The blood all over his body instantly boiled. “So you really intend to sell me for money?!" angry roar.

"Of course not!" Mahendra yelled back, "Didn't I have you married Widya as a rejection of the girl's proposal?"

"And you made a pact in my marriage to Widya! What's your reason for that?"

"To protect the girl."

Azri silent. His father continued, "Lia had threatened to harm any girl who would marry you and I calmed her down with the agreement. Once you become CEO, according to the agreement your wife must leave. However, after that happened Widya did not go too. Lia also turned to threatening to harm my father and sister."

Azri must hold the edge of the table so that he does not fall after hearing all the explanations. Lia, how could there be someone so terrifying as him and he almost fell in the girl's game?

"Therefore Widya must go. To save the company, my family, and my grandchildren."

The shock was felt again Azri. "Grandson?"

Mahendra. "Widya hasn't told you that she's pregnant at the moment."

That night Azri returned to his apartment in a limp state. All his energy was drained. Luckily he was able to arrive in bed without tripping over anything. He dropped down there. Shock makes him unable to think clearly. His mind floated back to the shocking information his father had told him in the reading room earlier.

"Widya pregnant my son?“ Azri asked gamang.

His father could only show a concerned face.

"I don't know why he didn't tell you. But I think it's for your good as well."

Azri looked at him asking for an explanation. "For my own good? Isn't it just the opposite? That's not fair to me! I-i-"

"Forget your wife. You have to marry Lia after Widya leaves" Mahendra jolted Azri back.

"Have you gone mad, telling me to forget my wife and children who are now out of nowhere and only God knows what their fate is? I can't. I wouldn't do it!" bentak Azri's. "My wife is forever only Widya Lovarza!"

"You have to do it if you want the company to survive!"

"I don't care about that damn company! Stop selling me for business!" Azri could not hold back his emotions anymore. "I'm not something you can sell. If you really want the debt paid off why not find another solution? Why would you do such a senseless thing as get me married, take the CEO's seat and kick my wife out? Why?!"

"You want to hear another reason?" Mahendra started to gasp. "The only reason you're in the CEO's seat is to fight GN Group. I no longer have the power to go against the board of directors. However, I'm sure you can do it. Lia wouldn't have tried to take down this company if you had led it. She wants to marry you - whether for revenge or not. But you're not against them you're getting the company stepped on by them. You don't know?"

Mahendra began issuing a series of files showing the fact that Pradipta Group was slowly beginning to be taken over by GN Group.

"They do it so subtly that you don't realize it at all. I've given you a chance to realize it but you're too lazy to move.“

Azri stared at the files in disbelief. Pradipta Group is already on the verge of a takeover by GN Group. Since when did it become this severe? What is the lack of maximum effort to make everything worse? He was not so serious about working all this time because he did not want the results of his work to benefit his father.

he felt ashamed and bad to the point of not being able to reply to his father's words. It was true, he was not too serious about his duties in the office as he felt no complaints whatsoever were going on. He thought everything was going well. Mahendra nodded. He walked to the window, looking up at the night sky. "I'm worried about the fate of the people who work for our company. Thousands of people will lose their livelihoods if we let the company be taken by 6n Group. They're the ones I'm worried about. I worked to build a company with them. Is it fair if they get disappointed after they devote themselves to working for the Pradipta Group?"

Azri gritted his teeth, unable to answer.

"Therefore, if you want things to go normally, do as I ask. Married to Lia, do something to free Pradipta Group from debt-repeat. After that you're free to do whatever you want."

"I'm not getting divorced with Widya."

"Widya already knew and she let it go. That's why he's gone." Mahendra began to worry. la looked at his son's riled up.

"Widya is unlikely to do it.“

"You're not conscious either? Widya's trying to get you closer to Lia."

"No way! Did you also mention Lia's resemblance to Yuna until Widya was willing to do it? We love each other!"

"No. I thought if I told him from the beginning he wouldn't leave. He'll stay by your side to save you."

Mahendra did not tell Widya everything. He misses the part of Lia who threatens to harm Widya if she stays beside Azri. Lia had said that, if Mahendra remained adamant about marrying Azri to Widya, he would not let anyone who became Azri's wife live a quiet life. That's the real reason the deal was made. If he told her everything, he was sure Widya would not leave.

Azri's eyes closed tightly ending her daydream. After the conversation ended, he immediately went home with a more chaotic feeling. He did not want to cry, but unwittingly as long as his cheeks were wet with tears. He also did not sob, but his throat was sore.

The fact that unfolded behind her marriage and the agreement that made Widya leave made her heart ache. Especially when he knew Widya went to be pregnant with her child. Widya left without telling anything about her son. Until the end his father did not say where Widya went.
