"What do you want to talk about?"

Mahendra looked out the window as he said in a calm tone, turning his back to the two who were staring at him on the sofa of the room.

Widya could not sit quietly, occasionally she stared riled at Azri who was looking fiercely at her father's back.

"When my mother was dying, why didn't you come to see her?"

Azri doesn't have to mince words anymore. Therefore, he asked the path in his heart straightforwardly and without any hesitation.

"Is business more important than my mother's life? Is the family not more valuable than the Pradipta Group?"

Mahendra's shoulders seemed to stiffen for a while. Attacked with such a question who is not shaken? After a long silence, he slowly turned his body. Still with a calm look he said, "So that's why you hated your father all this time? Just because I didn't come in your mother's last moments?"

Azri blinked his eyes, his jaws were grinding. "just?"

Mahendra sighed seeing Azri's reaction while Widya looked at her worried husband.

"You've been doing things in vain all this time.“ Mahendra spoke plainly.

"What?" Azri's tone of voice began to rise.

Mahendra's face turned serious. "Do you know your mother well? You wouldn't believe me if I told you your mother betrayed me before she died."

This time Azri was stunned. He looked at his father with wide eyes. Not only Azri, even Widya was surprised not to play.

"You mean, you're screwing around?" his word does not believe. Azri does not want to believe that the mother he loved for his entire life did such an evil thing.

"That's impossible!" Azri kalap. la threw a hateful look at his father for trying to lie to him. "Mother is not someone who will betray her family." He was silent to see the injured expression of the father who had never seen him.

"I know you won't believe." Mahendra sighed, Azri trusted her mother too much.

Then Mahendra took a deep breath and sat down in his chair. Azri looked at him.

"You lied, right?" Azri made sure, he could not believe Mahendra's words just like that.

"Azri." Widya touched Azri's hand, could not bear to see her so hit. He was equally surprised to hear Dad's words, but he knew that the man was not lying. That's the real fact.

Mahendra's gaze glazed over, trying to muster back up courage before telling his painful story in the past. "I caught him with a man in a hotel room."

Azri's mind suddenly blanked. Never imagined at all in the mind of a woman who is so meek, kind, and very loving to do such a thing. No, he's sure his dad's just joking now. That must be a story.

"Mom can't do it!" yelled Azri not accept.

"He did!" Mahendra bluffs back. Azri was immediately silent and silent with all the disappointed feelings raging.

No, her mother didn't do that.

"You lied! It's just your story, isn't it? If I'm a bitch why don't you ever divorce her?!" Azri got up, yelling accusingly with her hands pointing at her Father.

"It's all because of you!" Mahendra said firmly, again making Azri pursed his lips with a dumbfounded face.

Widya soon embraces Azri because Mahendra's story manages to provoke her emotions.

"Calm down, listen to it until it's done" she whispered.

Azri sat back down. Her father managed to make her feelings turbulent. Azri continues to hypnotize himself that his mother is a good woman and precisely his father is the antagonist.

Mahendra knew this would happen, sooner or later. He looked at his son's pity. Azri will surely fall if he tells this bitter reality when his mother died first, but the sense of not having the heart to make him undo that intention. The end after being kept in a meeting long enough this fact was revealed as well.

"I'd love to divorce her, but your mother loves you so much. I can't separate a mother from her child. You love your mother so much. I just wish you happiness despite the fact that the woman you love has betrayed her husband." Mahendra paused for a moment, "Your mother even took some money from the company's account to give it to the man."

"I didn't expect it to turn out that the woman I trusted the most was just using me. I can't hate her, but since then all the flavor for your mother has gone." Mahendra looked at his son with sad eyes.

"Therefore you didn't come when Mom was dying?"

"Why isn't it answered?!" yelled Azri, he was getting frustrated. Even though he had shouted until his throat hurt, but his father still silenced his mouth.

"Tell me the real reason why you didn't come? Are you sorry you did that in my mother's last moments?!"

Widya looked at Azri nanar who looked so tormented because she was caught between the feeling of hatred for her father and her affection for her mother. His views were on Mahendra. Now the beak man exhaled heavily, then let out an answer that stunned Azri.

"The meeting at that time was very important for the Pradipta Group, I couldn't leave it even though the consequence I received was that I couldn't see my wife's face anymore." Mahendra fell silent before continuing, "But at the end of it, I was sorry myself. Even though your mother betrayed you, she's still the only woman I love."

Azri froze in his place. The words spoken flatly made his heart break. His head was so dizzy with all feelings mixed into one. he immediately left the room before he was forced to shout and destroy everything around him.

"Acad!" Widya yells. He almost died in the room to catch up with Azri when Mahendra spoke again.

"Widya Lovarza."

Widya stopped and looked. The man was still sitting on his chair, looking down with a suffering face.

"Sometimes you will make Azri disappointed again. If that happens, make excuses that don't hurt the kid."

I don't need to be reminded of that, Widya's mind is poignant. He realized Mahendra did not intend to make it stay with Azri.

"Well," he said in a heavy tone. Widya immediately left the room with the same broken feeling as Azri.

Azri sat weakly under a tree in the forest near the golf club where he was. Staring blankly at the expanse of dried leaves that became his pedestal was sitting at this moment.

The mother he loved was a traitor. That was the reason why his father did not want to come to see his mother and all this time he had hated someone who was hurt by the people he loved? Azri felt very embarrassed, confused, guilty, sorry, unbelief, and other kinds of feelings. He squeezed his own head in frustration.

Widya just got there. Seeing Azri sitting with a sad face makes her feelings fall. Slowly he sat himself down beside Azri, only able to look at the man's face from the side. If he had a magic spell that could turn sad feelings into joy, he would use it now.

Azri felt a hand wipe away the tears on her cheeks. He had not even realized since his tears had flowed out. He stopped drowning in his own world, blinked his eyes and turned to the woman beside him. That sympathetic face, managed to make the strike on his heart slightly subside.

"Widya." He found his mouth sounding, so soft and far in his own ears.

"I'm here." Widya looked directly into her eyes.

"You wouldn't betray me because of another man, would you? You're not leaving me for money, are you?" her shrewd.

Widya widened her eyes, freezing herself to hear Azri's words that so hit her heart. The sentence made his fear of the contract between himself and Mahendra fluttered back. With a heavy feeling he hugged Azri. Their views met in all sorts of emotions. Widya brought her face closer, then put her lips on Azri's lips.

"No, I won't leave you because of that" he whispered hoarsely. Widya was sorry in her heart. He had to lie to Azri.

Someday he will exchange his own happiness for some money and he is sure Azri will definitely be disappointed in him. He will not let that happen.he will have to find a way to divorce without making Azri hurt.

Does he have to follow in his mother-in-law's footsteps, leave this world?
