PART 24 - WHERE'S ZAKI?

"Zaki!" My screams then shut my mouth tight.

My breath is hunting, I'm getting scared. I crouched down and lowered my head, may the giant not realize where I am.

But unfortunately, the gorilla was already in front of me now, I could see his big, long legs.

I slowly looked up with a feeling of fear. Unknowingly I sobbed, my chest tightened hard to breathe.

"God!"

Yes, Zaki also realized that it was me. Really, what's really going on? Why is Zaki also in this place?

There is only one word I can describe. Fearful.

I was so scared. What am I supposed to do? I desperately wanted to save Zaki, take Zaki out of the gorilla's hands, but how could I do that while I myself felt it was impossible to save myself.

"AYRI, GO! RUN AYRI, RUN!" Zaki's shout was very loud, making me wake up from the daydream. I didn't even realize how I could daydream in an emergency like this.

The gorilla smashed Zaki's body into the stone wall.

I ventured to scream "Stop it! Don't hurt him!"

"Zaki!! Zaki please hold on I beg you, I'll find a way out of here!"

Like reverberating a paper, the gorilla reverberated Zaki's body, making Zaki cough and the muscles on his face clearly visible as he endured the pain. Fresh blood just came out of Zaki's mouth.

I shook my head strongly, shutting my mouth tightly, the tears continued to tear incessantly.

It hurts! Just looking at Zaki like that I can feel this sick, what about Zaki experiencing it himself? How bad is the pain he is suffering?

I gasped as the gorilla got closer to me and almost grabbed my body. I dodged, stood up and then ran as far away as I could.

The gorilla continued to chase after me, of course I lost because one step was comparable to dozens of my footsteps.

I don't know this place. I don't know where I'm going to run now. All I could do was run and try to stay away from him.

Of course I'm worried about Zaki, I don't dare to imagine how Zaki's fate would be if he continued to be in the hands of the giant.

I ran in a brighter direction, so I thought there I could see the road clearly. But I was wrong. I went the wrong way and I got to the edge of the cliff.

I moved erratically, agitated, anxious, frightened, all I felt. I really don't know what steps I should take. As if my brain couldn't function, I can't think of anything right now. There is only fear. A very great fear.

The gorilla kept coming closer to me, and I couldn't go anywhere anymore. One more step I will fall into a ravine that looks very steep and gloomy.

The gorilla crouched down and looked down, maybe he wanted to level me up, but still I looked up to see his face.

What do gorillas want now?

His eyes were bright red, then he raised Zaki's body, facing him to me. I can see clearly how the drowning Zaki is.

"Zaki's." Lirihku. I wanted to pull her and hug her. Really, even though I'm dead here I want to hug her before I really die.

"Don't mind me, A uhuk Ayri."

"No, Zak. I should care about you. Whatever happens you have to promise to survive." My voice was raucous because I kept crying all the time.

Zaki smiled.

Is he crazy? Why is he smiling? Does he think this is a joke?

"Even if I die, I'll keep looking for you in my next life, Zak."

"And you uhuk must have found me, Ayri." Reply Zaki with a smile.

What say? Did he really think it would end here? Like these? Couldn't he say words that could keep him afloat?

I'm crying more and more. What else can I do? Zaki also sounded resigned or even gave up. Was Zaki ever lost in this place and now he's exhausted and can't hold on anymore?

I dared to look into those fire-red eyes.

"Please, let her go. You can take me hostage instead. Please let her go." I'm trying to negotiate with that giant that even I'm not sure he can understand what I'm saying. I'm not sure he understands the language I speak.

"Ayri, don't be crazy! I told you not to care about me. Whatever happens you have to save yourself, that's the most important." Said Zaki quickly.

Instantly I remembered the exact same Zaki saying that morning when we had breakfast under the stairs. Whatisthis? Did he actually have a bad feeling before? If he had that feeling and didn't tell me, then I wouldn't have forgiven him easily.

"No, Zak. You have to treat your wounds, you have to go home, don't let Zian worry."

Before Zaki replied to me, the giant stood up first and raised Zaki's body higher.

"What do you want to do? Don't hurt Zaki anymore." I shouted at the giant who was swinging Zaki's body.

The next second he had already thrown Zaki into the abyss tragically.

I sat down for a moment. And I was in a cage in a white room.

"Ayri is awake."

"Ayri siuman."

"Come to the doctor immediately."

I looked around, there was Fara and Sasi in this room with me. Hearing them say Doctor, am I in the hospital now?

I'm observing myself. I was wearing patient clothes. Don't forget the sweat wetting my whole body.

I looked at Sasi and Fara alternately before asking them. "Sasi, Fara, what happened? Where's me?"

"Ayri, you suddenly fainted and you've been here for three days." Fara Clear.

"Hospital. For three days you were in a coma, we were so worried." Sasi suddenly cried and did not let go of her embrace.

I got off the cage, I gotta get to Zaki's. I have to make sure Zaki's safety.

Sasi and fara prevented my movement.

"I have to go to Zaki's house, Zaki is in danger." I said riled. I kept the blanket down and got out of bed.

"How do you know? You're just human, Ay."

"Miss Ayri, please go back to the place. I'll do the check."

"What check, Doc? I'm healthy. I have to get out now."

"Miss Ayri, you're a patient. You have to follow the rules here. You want to get out of here fast? Let me check for a minute to see if you can go out or not." Said the doctor. Strict tone. I can't refuse.

I lay in bed, the doctor immediately did the examination as he said.

The doctor frowned. "It's a miracle. Miss Ayri is fully healed, everything is normal."

"Thank God."

Sasi and Fara immediately showed a look of relief. I feel guilty for making them worry about me all the time.

"I can get out, right, Doc? I have to go somewhere."

"Can, but you still have to finish_"

"My friends will take care of it for me. Sas, Fa, please sort things out here. I can't wait any longer."

"Fara, please."

"OKAY. But you sure you want to go alone?"

After changing the patient's clothes with my clothes given by Fara, I rushed outside the hospital.

I hauled a taxi and asked him to take me to Zaki's house. Although it's two in the morning, but in this hospital area is quite crowded, it is not difficult to get a taxi.

During the trip I couldn't calm down, I kept thinking about Zaki's situation. I kept praying for Zaki's safety. No matter how I ask the driver to run the car faster, no matter if I say chatty. I really can't calm down.

I finally got to Zaki's house. I went down and reached into my pocket looking for the existence of paper with pictures of the heroes, but nothing at all. I'm stupid to not bring money.

"Sorry sir, I forgot to bring money. Please wait a minute, I'll take the money inside."

I walked up to the door and knocked it hard. Shortly after, someone opened the door. I really wish that one was Zaki, but in reality it was Zian.

"Ayri?" I was surprised by Zian coming.

"Zi, please lend me the money to pay for a taxi. I forgot to bring money." I said without further ado.

"Huh?" Zian looks confused.

"The cab driver's waiting, Zi."

"Ah i-iya this I lend. Need how many?" Zian took out a few pieces of money from his pocket, impatiently I immediately returned the money and took it to the taxi driver.

"This is the fare, thank you very much."

"Yes, same thing."

The next second I went back to the door and immediately gawked in ignoring Zian who was looking at me in wonder.

"So long hours here alone and from cheering into a guy's house, not afraid you're in anything?" Zian joked at the wrong time.

"Where's Zaki?" I asked, I kept walking around Zaki's house. And Zian continued to follow from behind without making another sound. He became quiet, not chatty as usual.

I got to Zaki's room, I just opened the door and Zaki wasn't in the room.

"Where's Zaki, Zi?" Ask again. Zian remained silent not answering.

"Where's Zaki, Zian?" I asked again half-creaming.

"He's..." Zian bit his lip. His voice turned pitiful. The black environment was clearly imprinted around Zian's eyes. Is he sleep deprived? Did something really happen to Zaki?

"Say Zi, where's Zaki?"

"He's not there, Ay."
