Magic Key

Magic Key
PART 11 - AWKWARDNESS

"I changed my mind." I said to Zaki.

We were near the security guard post like I usually wait for my friends to come out. It just so happened that my place of work was in the very front of the building, so I always went out first.

"What about?" Ask Zaki.

"Weekend tomorrow I want to go with you."

"Really?" Zaki said watching me seriously.

"Yes. I can ask Fara and Sasi to take care of my things. Not too much either." I said clarify.

"Your roommate?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"okay." Zaki said smiling.

"When do you want us to go?" Ask Zaki.

"Weekends. Saturday-Sunday."

"Two days? I'm not wrong, am I?"

I'm shaking. "i'm serious. There are a lot of things I want to talk about with you. I found something. So please don't disappoint me, yes, Zak."

Zaki looked at me long and wordless. I don't know what Zaki is thinking.

"Six o'clock in the morning can you leave?"

I nodded in response.

"OK I'll pick you up tomorrow before six."

"Don't!" Reject me quickly.

"I don't want them to misunderstand our relationship. I don't want them to think anything."

"Is there something wrong with our relationship? Do you want me to be known as your friend by them?" Zaki said more firmly than usual. Heart melos.

"That's not what I meant." I don't know since when my pein got wet. I wept.

I heard Zaki breathing out violently while pulling his hair back.

"Tomorrow I'll pick you up here." After saying that sentence, Zaki immediately left without saying goodbye, making my heart feel empty.

Indeed Zaki always left just like that, leaving me first at previous meetings. But now it feels different. Feels hollow.

Maybe it was my fault. Maybe I hurt feelings. Although I don't know for sure what exactly made Zaki angry, but I will still apologize to him tomorrow.

If only I had Zaki's phone number, I would send him an apology message right now. But in fact, Zaki prefers to write messages on paper rather than sending messages through electronic media.

Never mind. I can still meet him tomorrow.

"Sas, Fa, tomorrow I need to be with one of my friends. I'm asking you guys to take care of my stuff if this room is being finished. I can't help but leave because this matter is urgent. I'm asking for a big favor." I cupped my palms together, begging the two roommates.

"What the hell use to weld everything. Yeah-yes. We'll help take care of that. Don't be that dramatic." Fara said.

"Yes. At least one bag, we will not be hassles. Our things aren't much either." Sasi.

"Thank you. You guys are the best." I hugged them both at the same time.

"Yes-yes. Hope your business is done." Said Sasi again.

"Yes, aamiin."

Fortunately they didn't ask me about my business. So I don't have to bother looking for the right reasons.

"What is the business this time related to the business of the morning and early in the morning you have left for the factory?" Tanya Fara is nailing.

"Yes." Yeah." Answer's short.

They don't comment anymore. They also have privacy that they don't want to prick, so they also free my privacy.

Fortunately I was in a room with Fara and Sasi who were always understanding and not deflated. Mercifully.

Tonight the black giant came again. But I managed to open my eyes before he pounced on me first.

I got off the bed and slowly headed for the bathroom, not wanting to wake my friends.

I imagined when the black guy came down out of nowhere, his movements were very fast. His black fur was thick like a gorilla. The body resembles a gorilla. But he's so big. And a red eye is like a devil's eye in the horror movies I've seen.

I hope this is just my hallucination because I often watch horror movies. Yes I hope so, just my hallucinations.

I lay back down but I forced my eyes to stay awake. I was too scared to sleep.

Until one in the morning I was still awake. Instead of doing nothing, I picked up the novel I had brought from home. I bought it when I was in my hometown, but I haven't read it yet, so I brought it here.

Until it does not feel the time has shown at three o'clock. I spent two hours to finish reading one thick novel entitled RAIN written by TERE LIYE. My eyes are so sore. I can't hold it much longer.

Then let me sleep for a while.

*****

I've been in front of the company gate for almost ten minutes, but Zaki hasn't shown up yet. The streets are very quiet because this is an industrial area.

My feet ached from standing up, so I borrowed an unused chair from the security guard.

"Yes, you can sit down." Said one of the guards in the post.

"Thank you, sir." I said politely. The guard nodded.

"This ring used to stand here too when it came home from work, right?" Ask one of the other guards who just got out of the post.

I smiled shyly. "Yes, you're right. Mr. good observer." My praise.

The guard laughed for a moment. "This ring is praising or testing?" The guard said and continued his laughter. I laughed too little.

"Sir what's his name?"

"My name is Ayri, sir."

"If I were Mr. Pur." The security guard said without asking. I nodded and smiled.

"If you look around, neng is very familiar with Mr. Zaki."

"What time, sir? I think it's normal."

Mr. Pur laughed again. "I know I'm here waiting for Mr. Zaki, right?"

On target. I was silenced by Mr. Pur's question. Mr. Pur seems to know a lot.

"Well, there he is Zaki sir coming." Mr. Pur said after a Lamborghini stopped in front of the gate.

Was that? Zaki's appearance in everyday looks simple. Or is he just down?

I wonder if it really is Zaki? I kept focusing on watching him. Even unknowingly Zaki was already in front of me now.

"Hey." Zaki's greeting surprised me a little.

"This waduh neng Ayri seems to be very fascinated by Mr. Zaki." Mr. Pur exclaimed seductively.

Zaki smiled at the words of Mr. Pur, but opposite to me. I was busy regulating my breathing and was busy healing the red hue on my cheek.

My heart turned warm.

"You leaving now?" Ask Zaki again. And I could only nod without making a sound.

Zaki walked over to his car.

"Sir, thank you very much." I thank Mr. Pur, and another security guard whom I do not yet know his name. They nodded.

I walked up to Zaki and Zaki opened the door for me.

"Thank you." I said and then got in the car.

"Pak Pur, Mr. Aan, thank you for taking care of Ayri." Zaki said sounding respectful.

"Together Mr. Zaki, be careful."

The next second the car was already splitting the deserted morning streets. Zaki was sitting quietly behind the wheel, and I didn't know where to start my apology.

*****

"Sorry." I said in the end, after a while of quiet travel.

Zaki glanced at me, fusing his eyebrows.

"I thought you were angry yesterday." My next.

"What right do I have to be angry?" Zaki said remain calm.

Heart melos. Haaahhhh.I exhaled in silence. So he has no rights? Then why did he look so unfriendly yesterday? What exactly does he think I am?

"I'm sorry, I look up to myself too much." After that I laughed wryly.

Zaki did not respond.

I feel bored and awkward. I've never been this quiet before when I was with Zaki, but now?

Never mind. I better find my own life.

I grabbed my phone from the small bag I was carrying. Take it out and I choose to play the candy crush game on my phone.

I intentionally act the sound in the game to reduce awkwardness.

In no more than five minutes, Zaki had already let out a sound.

"What is the courtesy of playing alone with others?" Said Zaki.

Kontan, I put my phone back in and persuaded my heart to calm down, and persuaded myself not to punch Zaki in the face.

"Sorry." I said relented. And after that I prefer to look out the window without a word coming out of my mouth again.

Suddenly. Zaki grabbed my hand and squeezed it gently.

"Sorry." He said it was pain.

I cried without a sound. I kept staring out the window and also let Zaki continue to hold my hand.
