Magic Key

Magic Key
PART 21 - OVERTIME

I stepped slowly. Today I feel more tired than usual, because today my part production team is required to overtime. So now I'm home alone tonight.

After a few days of work, my friends and I finally knew there was a shortcut for us to pass so that we wouldn't go too far to get to the factory, or from the factory to the hostel. And yes now I'm going through this shortcut alone.

As I passed through the final landfill, the lighting suddenly dimmed, then died, then the flame returned, dimmed again, and so on. I rolled my eyes around. Near there are also boarding houses but look shabby and unkempt. I'm trying to think positively, maybe a prankster pranks, or maybe the lamp is almost disconnected so flame-dead that way.

Not wanting to linger there I stepped a little faster than before. But I felt that someone else might be stepping behind me, so I looked back, who knows we could walk together to reduce the fear. But no, no one was there. But I'm pretty sure someone's been following me from behind. Or am I being too paranoid?

Until I passed a field commonly used to play football by teenagers around in the afternoon. The field was very dark without any illumination. Also the field was wide enough so I needed courage many times to pass through the vast field alone, with the fear of being trailed by no one.

From the field I saw there was a pecel catfish stall, a stall that was only open in the afternoon until evening. I feel a little relieved because soon I will arrive at the stall, at least there must be people even if it's just the sale.

I took a quick step, and thank God I came and almost passed the stall.

I nodded to greet my mother and father who I thought they were sellers of catfish pecel there.

After the place where the stall stands, after it is a crowded street full of illuminated houses. I can breathe a sigh of relief now, because even though there aren't many people on the street I'm on, the lights are normal.

I observed a house that looked striking compared to the house around it. The house was bigger than the others, also it looked the most majestic. In front of him were two luxury cars. I think he's the richest man around here.

But strangely enough, as soon as I passed the house, a fragrant smell instantly entered my sense of smell. It does smell nice, but I feel there is something strange about it. As I continued walking I kept thinking hard what made him strange.

And yes, I just realized that the fragrant smell I just smelled was the smell of jasmine flowers and... Although I'm not sure myself but I can confirm that it is the smell of frankincense.

My mind suddenly floated, thinking of nonsensical things. As much as possible I removed those strange thoughts from my brain, so as not to disturb me. I've been complicated enough with my problems, not wanting to get dizzy with things I couldn't believe.

But whatever my day, I can't just forget it, plus the feeling of fear is still attacking me because I think I'm still being followed. But now I dare not look back. I kept walking filled with fear and feeling threatened.

Crossing over a small bridge, and there some motorcycle taxi drivers are still awake while playing chess to dispel drowsiness.

I gave a small nod as I passed them, showing my respect for the taxi drivers and one meatball vendor who went near the base of the motorcycle.

I passed the house of the Hajj, then turned right, then walked about ten meters and I reached my residence.

Sitting on the porch, I took off the shoes I was wearing and placed them on the available shoe rack.

I reached into my little bag to find the key to my room. Each room is given two keys to make it easier if one room is working different shifts, or one of them is overtime, like I am now.

Still terrified, I scratched the contents of my bag and unfortunately I never found the thing I needed.

For more than two minutes I stood at the door looking for the key in front of me. Although only two minutes certainly feels very long when you are in a feeling of fear. But soon enough, I finally found it.

I put the key in the keyhole and then turned it around. My movements are fast. My feeling of saying something that followed me earlier is getting closer to me now. Even I feel like I'm almost reached by him.

Quickly I opened the door, entered and locked it from the inside. I leaned against the door while stroking my chest, breathing a little relieved. A little late maybe I will be doomed, that's what comes to my mind now.

Suddenly my feathers stood up. Now I feel like I'm being watched. And I'm sure there's something in the back corner of the door that's on my right. I glanced to the right side, aware of the existence of the figure, but I felt numb. I can't move my limbs.

My breath began to pant, I slowly turned my head to look at the right side and, slowly, I turned my head,

Klang's!

I slipped. I jumped quite far from the door when I dropped the key of the room which managed to make a loud noise on this silent night.

My chest's up and down. Mind fucked. My feelings are mixed. All I could do was retreat away from the female figure in a shirt full of bloodstains and a smashed face. The figure that freaked me out, that was in the corner of the door.

I grabbed the bedroom door handle located in the middle room, pulled it down and I managed to open the door.

As fast as lightning I turned around to immediately enter the room, but I was again startled by a figure that suddenly appeared before me.

"Yetoooo." I cried hysterically while closing my eyes, I did not dare to open my eyes.

But strangely, why did the figure scream?

Slowly I opened my eyes. I can see who is in front of me right now. And it turns out it was my friend. I checked that he was treading the ground. He really is Sasi.

"What the hell is it?" Fara asked who was disturbed by my and Sasi's screams.

"Sasi, you're making me surprised to know!" I said in a high enough tone.

"Yes you suddenly shouted, I reflexively shouted." Sasi said he would not lose.

"Why are you standing there blocking me from entering!" My tudding to Sasi.

"Why do you also come in and out screaming? You are the one who surprised me. I'm just going to go to the bathroom, I'm not going to bother you." Obviously Sasi at length.

I shook my hand, giving up.

"Oh, ngagetin. I think there's a demon that turns out you're paranoid too much." Celtap Fara relax.

There was a demon, Fara. My inner.

Suddenly the sound of the door on tap, the three of us immediately turned to the source of the sound.

"Fara, Sasi, did something happen inside?" Ask someone from outside.

"Have Ayri come home? I heard a scream from inside, I just wanted to make sure everything was okay." Ask another seoarang.

"They're victims of the noise you've created. I open the door first so they don't worry." Said Fara directly slouching past me and Sasi.

Sasi immediately ran into the bathroom after.

"Fara wait." Prevent me. I'm afraid there's still a figure and I don't want Fara to get hurt.

"What's wrong?" Fara asked frowned.

I wailed, after making sure it was safe, I let Fara go.

"No Papa Fa, you have opened the door, I clean first."

Fara raised one eyebrow, watching me closely. Maybe he feels weird about my attitude, but I don't care. I turned around and headed for the bathroom.

From inside the bathroom I faintly heard Fara explaining to the person outside the door that everything was fine.

Be okay? I could no longer say everything was fine after I was tailed on the way home, and found a creepy sighting inside the boarding house I was staying at.

Good Lord! I don't know why I could suddenly see their nation. Now I feel tired. Real tired. I even want to disappear from here if I can.
