LIKE I CAN'T SEE

LIKE I CAN'T SEE
BAG 9 MAK, JOVAN CAN DEFINITELY!!!

Entering the classroom that still looks quiet. No other student came but me. I usually get to class fifteen before the bell rings. But since today I got a ride I can come in earlier than usual.

I sat on my stool with my hands against my head. There was nothing I had to do but keep thinking about the fate of my school.

Too heavy a burden. Things like this should be thought of by parents. But maybe that doesn't apply to me. Because I only have one mother.

And the current condition of his mother is unlikely to go looking for a loan. By looking at our conditions like this it also seems that there will be no one to offer us a loan for free. Because I thought I couldn't pay it.

I didn't feel like one by one my friends were entering the classroom. They came as usual not to think I existed. Until one class is complete. And the lesson started when Ms. Ana came to class.

"Kids, today will be dealt a test card. And tomorrow until Saturday you study at home for a quiet time. You understood? Please if there is something to ask!", said Ms. Ana to make an announcement.

Today they only reviewed test practice questions that felt difficult. One by one, students ask questions to ask questions.

Jovan kept waiting. Suddenly her name called Bu Ana came forward to receive the exam card. How surprised he is. He was both happy and wondering why he had received the card.

Haven't I paid my arrears yet? Then why did I get my exam card? Ask inwardly while receiving the card cheerfully.

The class hours are finally over. Ms. Ana is still in class because she tidied up the books she brought. I ventured to ask.

"Mom, haven't I paid off the administration arrears. Then why did I get my exam card?", he asked.

"Sorry Jo, I'm just in charge of sharing it. You can ask the school administration. Studying diligently yes, lately your grades have increased!", said Ms. Ana before finally leaving class.

I just answered with a nod. Until I decided to go to the administration room. Ask who the angel who saved my life.

Tok.dok...

I knocked on the door of the room. Until the sound of a voice told me to come in from inside. I immediately opened the door to enter. And I'm welcome to sit down.

"Sorry Nak Jovan. I promised not to divulge who paid off your tuition. Because this is a pertinent request. But I promise I'll be honest with you when you get to Junior High", that's the answer from the clerk at my school when I asked who helped me. And why do I have to wait for Junior High to find out who it is?

I finally got out of the room. Because even if I forced the officer to be honest he wouldn't tell me. I can only be grateful. There are still people who want to help me. Even though I don't know who it is.

For those of you who have helped me, may God repay all your kindness. I hope I can meet you someday. And also repay you if you need my help later.

"Mom, I'm home", when I get home. Take off my shoes then sleep lying on the mat.

"Why are you, son? Is it tired?", seeing Jovan's face a little lackluster.

"No Mak. Jovan is just grateful today".

"What's the matter, son?", asked Mom looking forward to my story.

"Jovan has got Mak's exam card. There's a guy who's already paid off Jovan's tuition".

"Then have you asked who paid for it, son?".

"Emak happy son. You can finally take the exam. Whoever has helped us better pray for him the best", hug Jovan.

In the afternoon, Mom began to practice walking without her cane. The medicine that the doctor gave me yesterday really worked.

Jovan kept pacing back and forth behind the house. He thinks of Jessy. Because this morning he said he was going to see his mother. But why didn't he come to the house this afternoon?

Yes already. Maybe Jessy won't come today. Then he said and went into the house.

"What do you think, son? From that pacing you know rich people are confused", asked the mother who had noticed his movements.

"No Mak" he said, lying. This time, he didn't want to tell a story.

My mom is not a forced parent either. He finally chose to be quiet and not ask again.

Jovan then helps mom prepare the dinner menu. Simple menu this time vegetable lodeh with sambal and crackers.

"Mak, the rice is gone huh?", he asked to see the rice was only left to cook tomorrow.

"Yes Nak. You don't have to think about that. Tomorrow you will buy it" said Mom. Whereas during the two-day holiday did not work he did not have a deposit of money.

Jovan wasn't such a stupid kid to believe it. My mom will always cover it up. Because I don't want to be a burden on Jovan's mind if I find out. Aren't all parents like that? Always trying to meet the needs of his child without wanting his son to know how he got it.

"Wake up first, son. This warm water is ripe" he said later.

"Jovan took a cold shower, Mom. That one's for Mom. Jovan get water first Mak", he said with two buckets.

Mom just nodded. His son was always understanding with him. Compassionately attentive.

It was enough for both of them. Jovan stopped taking water. She asked her mother to take a shower first and then herself. Because you don't want to get cold if you take a shower late in the evening.

Nightfall.

Jovan focused on learning. I really want to show you the best results. Sometimes his confidence is lacking. But he must be diligent in trying. Everything we do will get the best results.

That has always been the principle all along. His hard work will not be in vain. Moreover, Ms. Ana has conveyed that the best graduates will be asked for scholarships.

That was Jovan's motivation. Because if you rely on money he will not be able to continue. But if he could continue school on a scholarship wouldn't it ease his mother's burden.

Mak, Jovan can do it!!!! He said while taking care of the books he had learned. Then position himself to reach his dream realm.

"Good night, Mother! May tomorrow be happier!", he said.

"Thank you, son! Don't forget to say your prayers!!", mother always reminds me.
