LIKE I CAN'T SEE
BAG 6 JESSY TO MY HOUSE

The rote test is over. Because this is the last subject the teacher ended. I packed all the books into my bag.

I remember Jessy wanted to go to my house. Is it possible that he would walk with me that far? Ah can't. Kasian he could hurt his leg.

Jovan was still thinking in class. But suddenly Jessy stood at the door and called out to her. He was waiting for Jovan to come home. And just came to him when the class was empty.

"Are you waiting for me?" asked Jovan.

"Yes. Waiting for who else. My brother promised me".

Jovan immediately picked up his bag and went out of class. "What's better to cancel. My house is far away Jessy you'll be tired of walking with me".

"Who wants to walk? We're going to get in the car" Jessy said.

"Well car?", asked Jovan gawking.

"Yes Brother. Come along", pull Jovan's hand. Until we reach the school yard. And it turns out Jessy's car and the driver are waiting there.

Jovan suddenly stopped. Jessy also stopped. "Why Brother?", he asked.

"Are you sure you want to come to my house by car?".

"Yes Brother. What's wrong? Come on in already. Don't think about it", Jessy pulled her hand again continuing to walk towards the car.

On the way Jovan just kept quiet. She hasn't told her mother that Jessy is coming home. Sometimes he talks when asked where the other way.

Twenty minutes passed. Arriving in front of a narrow alley. "Sorry to get to the front of my house can not be passed by a car" he said.

"It's okay, brother. Let's go on foot. Sir wait here no papa?", asked Jessy to the driver.

"Yes, I'm just looking for a parking space. Non Jessy just call if you want to go home".

"Okay sir", Jessy and Jovan then go down.

Many neighbors around her noticed Jessy as she walked along with Jovan. No one wants to be friends with Jovan. Including their children.

Then why today can Jovan bring home a pretty clean-skinned girl?

"Sorry Jess, they're all looking at you".

"No papa Brother. Don't mind them", Jessy understood the meaning of their gazes.

Jovan stopped his steps while in front of his hut. Makes Jessy seem to be in disbelief. So concerned is the house occupied by Jovan.

"This is Brother's house?".

Jovan just nodded. "Will you come in?", he asked.

Turn around Jessy who nodded. Then Jovan opened the door. The door that sounded so loud sounded when it opened. "Sit down", please sit down.

Jessy was confused where to sit. Because there are no chairs there. He looked back and forth but still did not see.

Jovan returned with a drink filled with water. "Sit here", pointing to the bed that used to be made Mak Silah.

"What mother is still working?".

"Just be home for lunch" he answered.

Jessy gulps down the water Jovan gave her. Although he still sits in elementary school but he can understand how to become a Jovan.

Never once complained. Showing desperation. Always rigid. Although the storm hit. That's them.

"Jess, why do you look dreamy?", asked Jovan immediately to see Jessy as if thinking of something. How not to think. See the condition of Jovan's house. Which is very inversely proportional to its condition. From there he just muttered.

"No Brother. It's just that I remember my parents" she said lying. Don't want to offend Jovan.

In the middle of the conversation. Mak Silah opened the door and said hello. Make both look at the same time.

"There are apparently guests. Sweet boy what's your name?", asked Mak Silah to see Jessy. Jessy then stood up while kissing Mak Silah's hand.

"Jessy Ma'am!", he said politely.

"I'm sorry. Jovan's house is falling apart. Did you let my mom and dad play here?".

"It's Mom" Jessy said, lying again. He can't tell the truth. His parents were busy and would not have time to ask him where he went after school. Even if Jessy comes home late at dusk, no one's looking for her.

Mak Silah was busy opening the food package. They invited both to eat. "Sweet kid, school's gonna be hungry, right? Let's eat first!".

"But Mom, I was in the cafeteria" Jessy replied. Not that he rejected Mak Silah's offer but seeing that food was only two servings was heartless.

"Come eat first. Is it because I don't like the food?".

"No Mak. It's not. Like it", Jessy finally wants to eat with them.

After eating they talk again. "Mom, sorry Jessy was so sassy. Do you want to work at Jessy's house?", she asked.

"Do you mean Jessy?", Mak Silah still does not understand.

"Sorry Mom. Jessy already knows the daily life of Jovan's sister. Should you just work at my house?".

"Is that not troublesome? Did Jessy's son tell both of Nak Jessy's parents?", Mak Silah made sure Jessy offered him in earnest.

"No trouble Mom. Jessy's happy that I'm willing to accept it. After all, ART at Jessy's house, which was one goodbye, went back to the village and didn't come back".

"Jess, but." said Jovan, feeling bad. Surely Jessy helped him because he had already refused to pay the arrears of his administration.

"Sister Jovan don't mind. The important thing is that you want to and you don't have to be hot anymore".

"How about Jo if Mom accepts Jessy's offer?", Mom asks Jovan. He should, however, ask Jovan for his opinion.

"Jovan come with Mom. Jovan knew that working as a job was hard Mak. Jovan wants what's best for Mom" says Jovan approves of Mom working at Jessy's house.

"So Jessy's offer was accepted? Jessy was so happy", hugging her Mom. This time he found warmth. It feels like hugging a mother.

Unfortunately, he didn't get it at home. Her mother was too busy just to hold her for a moment. It's really sad about his life.

"Easy-after. Why are you happy like this? Mum and Jovan should thank Jessy's son".

It looks Jessy shed happy tears when hugging Mak Silah earlier. Mak Silah could only calm down without much asking what Jessy was really thinking.

Jovan who could guess what made Jessy sad immediately switched the conversation. Trying to cheer him up.

After a few minutes. Jessy is back with her cheerful face. Then he said goodbye. Feeling sorry for the driver waiting for him on the roadside.

Mak Silah himself also had to go back to work. At once will say goodbye. Because maybe this will be his last day working as a construction worker.
