Meda did not talk much for the rest of the trip to other rides. Currently, he and Tian were in a haunted house located in the middle of the playground area. The two parted ways with the other four after the incident at the food stand queue. Tian himself did not dare to make a sound to open a conversation with Meda.
In fact, there were many things he wanted to say to the young man to slightly clear up the incident, but he was at a loss as to where to start. From the recognition that he had special feelings for Afgar, his childhood friend in the past or the fact that he only learned about Afgar's feelings for him today. Both explanations felt inappropriate to come out of his lips at that moment. To be precise, there was no right way to bring the topic back up without arousing uncomfortable feelings between the two. His feelings in the past seemed to be a great sin that he deliberately hid from Meda. Though, Tian never told it because he saw no reason that made him feel the need to share his deepest secret with Meda.
The journey to the exit felt extremely gripping for Tian. It was not because of some so-called ghosts who repeatedly approached and tried to terrorize him, but because of the cold aura emanating from Meda's back. Tian knew that sooner or later Meda would start the conversation, while he still had not found a proper reason to explain his position. The time they spent in silence had two conflicting effects on Tian. On the one hand, he was relieved to have more time to guess the questions that would come out of Meda's lips and the best answers to respond to them, but on the other hand the thought of many unpredictable things makes it even more wracked with anxiety.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, when they set foot outside the haunted house building, it rained very heavily. Meda immediately caught Tian's wrist and pulled him running down a large banyan that was near them. Although large, some people who have been under the tree first make both of them do not get significant protection from the raindrops accompanied by the wind. Tian was still lucky because his body was in a fairly leafy part, but the much taller Meda was forced to slightly bend in front of him and sacrifice his back to get hit by the water droplets. Meda's jacket hung on Tian's shoulder since the two ran through the rain.
Tian raised his head, trying to see the expression the young man had shown. However, the young man turned his face to observe the falling raindrops getting busier, making Tian only manage to see his jawline firmly framing Meda's handsome face. Tian shook his head quickly, trying to return his focus to the things he should be worried about rather than drifting in his admiration for Meda's charm. However, again Tian's eyes betrayed the orders of his brain and continued to glare at every inch of Meda's face he could see.
"It looks like the rain won't stop anytime soon." Meda suddenly lowered her face, making her eyes catch the direction of Tian's gaze.
Normally, he would tempt Tian all-out because of his behavior. However, the uneasiness that had haunted his head from a few minutes ago left him with no appetite to think about anything other than how to start a long conversation with Tian as soon as possible to discuss the previous incident.
"We're going home now, huh?" tawar Meda's.
Tian hurriedly nodded, but as he intended to start stepping his feet out of the tree cover, Meda held his arm back. The young man did not say anything to return the astonished look from Tian. Instead he grabbed his jacket from Tian's shoulder and guided the girl to wear her jacket properly. Once he was done making sure that the protection the girl had obtained was maxed out, he again grabbed the girl's hand and pierced through the rain for the second time.
Arriving in the car, Meda immediately opened the back door of her car and gestured for Tian to enter. Tian obeyed the young man's orders despite the confusion. When Meda was already sitting in the steering wheel, then she made a sound to answer Tian's confusion.
"You just replace your wet boss with my own shirt in the back seat. I'll wait outside, when you're done changing, you move to the front seat and press the horn, okay?" meda's orders were quick as he prepared to open the steering door.
Tian's brain, which was already producing violent protests because the image of him changing clothes in the back seat of a man's car that had not even officially become his lover was left absurd to just imagine, finally giving another order upon seeing the young man intending to prove his last words. Tian's hand moved swiftly holding Meda's arm at the command of his brain.
"Why? There's no shirt?" ask Meda confused.
"The rain is so heavy. So you don't have to wait outside. You just close the side view and rearview the middle you just."
If it wasn't Tian who said that, Meda would have misunderstood the girl's words with an undue meaning. It's just that because he already knew the character of the girl well, he knew very well that the girl actually said that because she was worried about her condition. Still, he could not comply with Tian's request. His clothes were already wet and standing in the rain for a while would not make much difference to him. He got out of the car after spending a few minutes arguing with Tian.
The nerves in Meda's body stiffened as the rain hit her body again. He took refuge under a roof that protruded from a small post in one corner of the parking lot. The first thing he did when he reached the place was to check for the cloudiness in the sky. Time was still two o'clock in the afternoon, but the dense clouds hanging in the sky made Meda almost think that her watch was nearly 3 hours late.
The sound of a horn from his car that sounded a few minutes later made Meda rush back to his car. Tian had already changed his clothes and sat occupying the passenger seat next to him. The girl threw a concerned look as she saw that not an inch of the young man's body was free from the touch of rain. Meda could only return the worried look the girl gave her with a faint smile.
"Watch it off next time, okay?" Meda reopened her voice after nearly a quarter of an hour both drowned in silence.
Tian turned his gaze from the street and stared at Meda as if trying to find the seriousness of her statement. When he did not manage to get any answers, he voiced his head.
"Surely there's more next time?" ask Tian sanssi.
"What do you mean?" ask Meda confused.
Tian could see the twitching that appeared on the young man's forehead even though his face was being pointed straight at the street in front of him.
"You didn't forget the same thing that happened this afternoon, did you?" Tian asked back.
Meda gave no answer until she turned her car in a fork.
"On you and Afgar who both like it?"
"Either." Tian corrected.
"Early," repeated Meda.
"I have a lot to talk about with you, Tian. However, I am still considering whether I deserve to bring all the questions in my mind to you," explained Meda as she took a deep breath and exhaled.
"You mean do I deserve all those questions from you?" tian hatch. Not once did his gaze turn away from Meda.
"Now I don't understand what you mean."
Meda tried to ogle the expression now shown by Tian, but it was not easy because she did not dare to take her eyes off the streets.
"You must be disappointed and doubtful about me when I heard my words earlier, right? You must be sorry to ever like a plin-plan girl who easily moved to another heart like me."
Tian's eyes started to glaze over as he said all that. Especially when he thought the response of Meda who did not want to look back at him was the way he showed that he had lost interest in Tian.
"Easy moving to another heart? Are you?" ask Meda.
"Hell, no!" exclamation Tian.
"Yes already. That's it," said Meda.
"You believe all my stories just like that it's a sign that you're lazy to talk at length to me."
Tian was still trying to make Meda pour out all her emotions. Whether it was positive or negative, Tian was already prepared to see where the quarrel would take their relationship. He can at least stand being in a problem that is not clear end.
"This is the reason I don't want to bring up this topic right now, Tian. You and I need to cool our heads. Not with the rain, but with a break at home and looking for a more appropriate timing."
Meda sighs. Unlike Tian who can always make decisions without regret later, Meda has a slightly impulsive disposition when she is in an emotional state. Therefore it takes several days to freeze a problem while giving his brain the opportunity to consider many aspects of his life before making a decision.
"Why do I feel that this is your way of saying goodbye before disappearing and not telling me?" Tian snorted cynically.
"Tian, I was serious when I said I needed time to think carefully about what answer I wanted to hear from you. However, if you are curious about how I feel when you hear the facts revealed by your friend, the answer is anger. To whom? To a late destiny brings me to you. The absurd? The kinsman? Indeed indeed! That's why I chose silence for now. I'm looking for a way to save both of our feelings."
"Do you know what questions repeatedly come to my mind? How," Meda gulped, "what if you had heard that fact before you met me? What if it turns out that when you hear this, your feelings for Afgar are back?"
"That's what I want to hear, Med. Your true feelings. So that I can assure you that there is nothing to worry about my feelings in the past" Tian replied.
"That's just an outline of my feelings and I can't be convinced with one simple sentence. I need to know about the base and the end of that story. I want to hear everything, but not today. We both need cooling down session," said Meda firmly.
Tian closed his lips, trying to swallow back all the words that almost slid from his tongue. The way Meda looked at the streets before her was as if to be a marker that she would not respond to any words that came out of Tian's next mouth. Finally, Tian leaned his head back on the back of the chair while closing his eyes. The two no longer spoke until they arrived at Tian's house. Meda just stops at the veranda and refuses Bella's invitation to enter the living room on the grounds of her wet clothes.
Tian touches Bella's arm at a glance as her mother intends to continue persuading Meda. Bella caught the meaningful glance given by Tian and instantly undoed her intentions. His instincts quickly caught traces of the quarrel between the two. Finally, he let go of Meda calmly. Upon entering the house, Bella refrained from suing her daughter to tell her the details of her second quarrel. What he knows, he did not like in his youth when his parents tried to monitor all aspects of his life. Tian went up to his room immediately after asking Bella to wake him up two hours later.
Arriving at the room, Tian immediately took off his wet jeans and threw the piece of cloth into an empty clothes basket. He looked at his reflection in the mirror. The T-shirt he wore had a length that covered half his upper thigh. Tian sighed at the thought that the t-shirt might be the thing that Meda left behind for him as a parting gift. He was trying to figure out how to treat the thing if Meda really did not contact him again, when his phone sounded the notification of incoming messages.
Tian grabs the phone from his bag and reads a reply to a message from Hera as he bounces home because the rain he expected would not subside any time soon. Hera informs him that she is also separated from Sapphira after each ride on a merry-go-round with her partner. Tian considers whether he should tell about the incident that occurred thanks to his meeting with Elmira. Hera along with Safira and Alvin had indeed first left the queue after obtaining their respective orders, so that the three people did not know about the incident that occurred this afternoon.
After almost overcoming his anxiety, Tian finally decided to dial Hera's contacts at night. The girl picked up her phone on the second ring. After a moment of pleasantries repeating everything that happened that day both before and after they separated, Tian finally told him the real reason that made him contact Hera. Despite all the furore that Hera voiced in response to every part of her story, the girl gave her support and advice that was quite stressful in Tian's head reduced.
"For a while, you focus on your relationship with Meda. About Afgar, I'll try to talk to him later. I also want to talk to Alvin if he can have a serious conversation. There's no way he doesn't know anything about Afgar's feelings for you."
Just as Hera was a confiding place for Tian, Afgar also made Alvin the best listener for all of his innermost heart. Therefore, Hera was a little anxious because Alvin had not told her about the fact long ago. A tad. There is no point in blaming their ignorance in the past.
The two girls finally continued their conversation to many other things to melt the pressure they felt after previously discussing a pretty serious topic. Almost two hours of time they spent talking before finally agreeing to end the call session due to sleepiness that began to whack.
